On an ordinarily quiet night, it was well attended. Service was very pleasant and left us plenty of time to chat before taking our orders. I would like to see more attention to the recommended "business casual" dress. Skip the jeans, folks. I don't know if this restaurant is intended to be "kid friendly" but would prefer that families with young children (noisy ones at that) be seated together, away from elderly, like ourselves, with sensitive ears. My husband, baby, and dad were with me, and we ate outside--it was gorgeous weather and we didn't feel self-conscious having an 8 month old baby with us like we probably would have had we been inside the restaurant. I had the risotto and watermelon salad, my dad had the lobster bisque and peppered steak, and my husband had the whitefish. We split the strawberry rhubarb cobbler and coconut rice pudding for dessert. All the food was excellent. We also got a bottle of cabernet sauvignon that was good. Our server was excellent. Great time was had by all, and I recommend the restaurant. Risottos change daily, & not every restaurant gets risotto right. Adelles' never misses. Great watermelon & watercress salad, so refreshing & light. Waiter, John, was excellent. So enthusiastic about his menu & made everything sound wonderful, hard to choose, but he helped steer us with that as well. The Copper River salmon was special - only available a very short period of time each year, so we had to try it. Outstanding! So flavorful but not "fishy," rich, deep color. Really nice. Even the bread at Adelle's is noteworthy. No quicker way to lower my opinion of a nice restaurant than mediocre bread. Had the very seasonal Copper River Salmon that tasted like it was caught moments ago in Alaska and served with minimal seasonings allowing the natural flavors to melt in our mouths. It was so good I wish I ciuld have had another for dessert. Our server was very pleasant and accomodating. As a previous reviewer noted, we didn't order any dessert, but after bein g questioned which dessert we would have ordered, they brought us the black cow compliments of the house. Will definitelybe goi g back now that we've experienced Adelle's.

If I lived in the area this would definitely be a staple in my weekly dinning routine. I live in DC and typically find that most restaurants and servers do not compare to the high level and quality of service John gave us. The food was excellent. Adelle's offers many choices that are well seasoned. The meats are deliciously tender and come with mouth watering and savory side dishes.

The place was over 3/4 full! Menu is very diverse. We both ordered Amberjack off the "specials" menu. Big mistake! It was horrific tasting and we both sent it back (for the record, we have never done this at any of the hundreds of restaurants we've eaten at). We both reordered: Parmesan chicken and pot roast. Those were amazingly good and delicious! Loved the presentations, too. Nothing understated there! Our rating criteria is, "Would we crave the food and want to go back?" There were at least 8 main courses I wanted to try. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious. There is no kids menu, but they do have a parmesan chicken breast entree with cheddar mashed potatoes that both of my kids enjoyed. We've been there two times now. Very comfortable, relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Service was excellent and personable. Great wine offerings by the glass. All the food, from bread and butter, to salads, entrees and desserts, were wonderfully prepared and satisfying. We were celebrating my 18 year old son's birthday, and they brough him their fabulous chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce. Everyone was warm and inviting and our server was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. Very fresh and tasty. There wasn't one complaint from any of us. The four of us could talk easily and hear each other. There was music but at an enjoyable level. I had the unbelievable root beer float for dessert (it wad my birthday after all) and they even brought it with a candle. The bill was fair for what we ate and drank. Every course was delicious, from soup to desserts. Chef John's risotto is the best I've ever tasted, each time I visit it's a different flavor combination. I had the Duck entrée, again, and was as good as I remembered. My friend had the filet, it was cooked to perfection and one of the best he ever had. The service was attentive and friendly, her name was Miley, (sp?) very friendly lady. I was there on Friday the 5th to listen to live music in the large bar/lounge area and to have some apps and wine. The placed was full and hopping! First time just to sit at the bar and from the regulars told me, Adelle's has become a hotspot for good music, martinis and wine lovers. The food was excellent as was the service, but the portions for the price were very small. The size of the fresh cod was moderate which is understandable since it is very costly to serve fresh fish. Half the plate was covered with crispy waffled potato chips that were a bit greasy; then there was a small dollop of delicious coleslaw--that was it for $18. If the meal had included a vegetable side or a cup of soup, we would have been more satisfied.
