  • "Adele's offers consistently delicious and fresh locally sourced food in a beautiful setting and welcoming atmosphere"

  • "Adelle's is a favorite. Always wonderful whether special occasion or just a great night"

  • "All dishes we tried were tasty, fresh and well-executed. A Tilapia entree which choice was made simple by a genuine recommendation from our waitress--I came thinking seafood--was perfection. The flesh was fresh, flavorful and meaty; the pea puree adding color and creamy texture; and ultra fresh baby carrots adding more color, flavor and perfect crunchy texture. As said, our waitress made our choices easy with professionally made recommendations, but most of the "waiting" was done by a bussing crew which although mostly good was a bit gruff and lacked timing considering the high level of the rest of the experience."

  • "Food is at the top of my checklist for an outstanding restaurant. But when a restaurant offers me an attentive wait staff, a full water glass that never empties, and an attractive and always clean restroom, then I am very impressed. That's why I like to say, "Absolutely Adelle's!""

  • "We celebrated our 35th Anniversary with dinner at Adelle's, and weren't disappointed! We dined outside and enjoyed a wonderful experience! Thank you!"

  • "When we go to Adelle's we like to get most of the small plates because there is so much amazing food. The risotto is always top of the list. Carbonara risotto was beyond words delicious. A favorite of mine is also the beet salad and the thai lobster rolls. We dont go out to eat often but when we go to Adelle's we are never disappointed."

  • "We celebrated our anniversary at Adelle's on Saturday and was amazed at the wonderful food. Everything was prepared to perfection. Field salad was delicious. Entrees of Swordfish and Whitefish were outstanding. We topped off the meal by sharing a chocolate mousse (not usually my fav) with fresh raspberry sauce and cream. It was fantastic! Service was somewhat slow but the food proved worth the wait."

  • "Once again a great meal. The Risotto is to die for. This time it was a crayfish mixed with other goodies to make an excellent treat. Great way to start the meal. The swordfish and White fish entrees where excellent. The fish did not have that "fishy" taste, especially significant for the swordfish. the salted caramel gelatto was a great finishing touch. The service was fine. No rush to get us out and enough time between cocktails, appetizer, entrees and dessert to enjoy conversation, yet the time was not so long as to wonder whether we were forgotten. It was nicely paced. This is our favorite restaurant. the menu changes are mostly in the specials. The Chef is creative with many succulent choices. You will not be disappointed."

  • "45 min. wait for hors d'oeuvres! After complaint to manager they arrived with an extra complimentary appetizer for our party of 6. Returned steak medium Instead of med rare. Free desserts made up for faux pas plus apologies."

  • "The Swordfish which was a special was simply wonderful. This was the first time dining here and we will return. The outside patio looked so very beautiful....we only wish we had requested it. Next time .... definitely the patio. Thank you For a wonderful, romantic evening."

  • "I love dining at Adelle's. It is especially fun dining on the increasingly lovely patio in summer. Inside the decor is elegant and softly lit without being dark. I especially enjoy the pistachio salmon selection. Service is very good and always friendly. Great dining experience."

  • "We love coming to Adelle's for a great meal. Tonight we had the salmon and flat iron steak - both very good. We are never disappointed, quality is consistent, and we can always rely on Adelle's for a great meal."

  • "We have always enjoyed dining at Adelle's. This visit our server was a disappointment. He was slow to respond and disappeared for awhile several times. We did notice that several other servers were more attentive than our own. The food was good, as always. We have had many great meals, and will go back again hoping this was a singular experience in a long string of satisfying visits."

  • "This was my first visit to the new location. I couldn't have been any happier when I left. Our waiter told us the specials almost with a gleam in his eye. He really knew the menu and the wine recommendation couldn't have been any better. Fresh bruschetta and bacon wrapped scallops w/ almonds started us off. Followed by one of the best steaks I have ever eaten, it literally melted in my mouth. The dessert menu was filled with in season offerings and a Chocolate Mousse w/ raspberries and fresh whipped cream to die for. Such a progressive menu. Imagine fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere with Pearl Jam playing quietly above you. Kudos to the entire staff, what a grand experience."

  • "Nice meals. Great service by John D. Our guests enjoyed their meal, the food was terrific. Adelle's has a nice electric menu, and risotto is their specialty."

  • "First time visit. Given nice patio table. Ordered bruchetta appetizer which we shared as it was huge. Husband's schnitzel was very tough could not cut it even with sharp knife. They took $$ some off the bill and commpted us a dessert. Would go again just order something else."

  • "This was my second time to Adelle's and my husband's first. He is not easily impressed - and this was a great night! From the crab cake starter to the amazing desserts, we enjoyed everything we ate. I had the salmon and he had the flat iron steak with blue cheese. Seriously terrific food and the service was not only good, but friendly and welcoming. We started in the bar, had dinner in the dining room and then headed back to the bar for dessert and a nightcap. We'll definitely be back again!"

  • "My Husband and I LOVED Adelle's - the service was fantastic and the food was outstanding. We tried something from every course."

  • "This was our first visit to Adelle's. The food was amazing and the service was professional. The honeydew melon soup was delicious, simple, and perfect for a summer evening whether as a starter or as a dessert. The watermelon salad was perfect, very lightly dressed. The corn risotto with scallop was creamy and tasty. The tuna entree was cooked perfectly. The light wasabe sauce balanced the flavors. Tomato salad was enough to feed two, easily. The wines paired beautifully with our food choices. The bread was reminiscent of Toscana Bakery in Chicago. Key lime pie was smooth, with a nice tang. The blueberry crisp must be tried! Coffee was served in warmed cups! Great attention to details."

  • "Have been to "Adelle's" several times but this time enjoyed the beautiful cozy patio for the first time. We just loved the ambiance. Very much enjoyed the small plates of Fish Tacos and Tuna Tartar but were a bit disappointed in the main course dishes as well as their presentation - the meatloaf was somewhat dry and the Special entrée of Skate was overpowered by the cornmeal crust; however the accompanying pea pod-leek sauté was most delicious. We decided from now on to just have several small plates - a most wonderful selection to be had. We definitely will be back - for more outdoor dining but also looking forward to fall and winter for eating in the pretty indoor rooms. The wait staff was very gracious! Overall a wonderful experience!"

  • "First time to Adelle's at this location, which is convenient on west edge of downtown Wheaton. Food is fine, but a bit overpriced -- not a reason you shouldn't try it. Ordering and sharing small plates is a good way to appreciate the kitchen on a single visit. Service was efficient, though not especially warm. We sat inside, which had plenty of available tables on a Thurs evening. Outside was packed. Noise from next door train tracks not distracting inside; not sure whether that's true outside."

  • "This is not run of the mill American food. It's fun and unusual combinations. The bread pudding dessert rocked."

  • "Once again another great meal at Adelle's. While I enjoy many dishes, the risotto of the day is usually my favorite. Service is top notch."

  • "We were delighted with the small plate options on the menu. What a wonderful way to try several menu items and share. Outside seating is a nicely decorated private space even though close to the street. The service was outstanding and server was very helpful and spot on with his recommendations. Definite return spot for lunch or dinner."

  • "I have dined at Addelles before, when they were in the old location and was always pleased with the food and service. However, my last visit (Friday night) was a huge let down. We arrived early and had drinks in the bar. The live music was very enjoyable. We were seated at the reserved time 7:30. We did not receive our main course until 8:50. We asked several times what the hold up was and the server said that they had overseated. However, there were not that many people in the dining room and no one seemed to have their food. The insulting thing was that they were not even very apologetic and did not offer free dessert or anything of the sort. Also, I wanted to order the meatloaf and I was told that it was cooling and not available."

  • "This was a night out for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. Our table outdoors was great as was the menu! So many great choices. We had three small plates and then shared an entree which was plated individually for us! The risotto was outstanding. The sangria was also very good. It was a busy Friday but staff was attentive and it was not overly loud. When I made our reservation I mentioned it was our anniversary and so after dinner our server gave us each a glass of bubbly. Very nice touch! Also a great dessert menu and we shared again and were satisfied! Great night!!"

  • "It was a beautiful evening for our girls night out. We sat outside and didn't regret it. It didn't feel like we were 3 steps from the street. Our group is known for closing a place down and the server we had was all for that. He didn't rush us, checked in at the perfect moments, and was generously tipped for his great service. We recommend the fish tacos; those were our favorite. Also the sliders and tempura green beans."

  • "Another wonderful experience at Adelle's. Dining outside on a wonderful warm evening we brought our own wine (Tuesday, free corkage) and enjoyed several dishes - all of which were outstanding. Can honestly say I have never had anything here that wasn't excellent. This night the fish tacos, risotto (of course), tilapia, assorted cheeses and fruits were all favorites. Always plenty to share with the small plates and a great way to experience a wider variety of dishes. Great service and staff is just a bonus."

  • "We normally love Adelle's but we're slightly disappointed this time. The special of cold avocado soup had very little taste. The meatloaf was dry and flavorless. The special pork chop dinner was fatty and not very good flavor, though the red cabbage and polenta that came with it were very good. Service was a little slow. However, every other time we've come was great. It must have just been an off night. We will be back."

  • "Every time we go to Adelles it is a great time. We always have excellent food and service. Extensive wine/beer menu. We were able to sit on the patio this time and it was great!"

  • "We expected more from the food. Presentation was great, I ordered duck, the taste was not there, and the cherry flavor I didn't experience. Restaurant and service was what I expected, but food highly overrated. My husband ordered the meatloaf dinner and it was ok, for the price we expected to experience something better than average. Very disappointed in the food. If you go there I would suggest ordering from the specials only."

  • "Excellent food!! My husband had the skirt steak, and I chose one of their evening specials - grilled monchong (Hawaiian fish), and both were delicious. Very extensive wine list (longer than the menu). We went to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Very very nice. Would highly recommend."

  • "If you know what to expect when you order a familiar dish, you will not be disappointed. The surprise comes when you taste your food, get what you expected - and then - there's a little something extra, an additional elusive taste. Chef John Anderson seems to always go one step further to add an additional taste to each dish. The something extra always blends with the expected taste and is generally a bit subtle, but leaves you asking, "There's a little something extra here, and I'm not quite sure what it is.""

  • "I stopped visiting Adelle's because the service was very lacking. Especially with the host stand. It was a bother when I arrived in the past and not very welcoming. This visit was much improved and the service was much better. The food is great, which is why I gave it another chance. I'm glad to see they saw the error of their ways and worked on customer service skills and service in general. A smile is an easy thing to give a customer when they walk in..."
