Adam's Restaurant and Piano Bar is an American Mediterranean steak house located in Historic Buford. Adam's offers a unique, upscale dining experience to fit almost any budget.

Adam’s is locally owned and professionally managed by Adam Kantback, who has over 30 years of culinary and restaurant experience. Studied and refined his passion for food in Sweden and Europe, Kantback brings an international menu to Historic Buford.

Kantback previously owned and operated three restaurants in Charlotte, North Carolina – “Adam’s at Ballantyne,” “The Bridge Café, “ and “La Bibliotheque,” – all of which received the coveted AAA Four Diamond Award 15 years in a row.

  • "Decided to try this restaurant during Gwinnett Restaurant week as we've enjoyed other Buford restaurants, Sperata and Aqua Terra. Although they didn't offer any of the regular menu offerings as part of the restaurant week menu, everything was very good and if the food was any indication of the quality of the regular menu offerings, we're anxious to try more. Nice martini and wine list. Very attentive servers. Look forward to dining there again."

  • "When we first walked into the restaurant, I thought this is nice and should be a great experience. A combination of both rustic and modern. It worked well. Warm, home made bread with 3 different flavors of butter came out first. Next came frog legs. Exceptional! Sadly, the entree was a disappointment. I had pork tenderloin, which was not bad, just average. My wife had chicken that had no flavor plus one of the pieces was undercooked. The final dish were desserts. At least we were back on track. I had bread pudding, very sweet and juicy. My wife had strawberry cheesecake. Both of these desserts were also exceptional! The service was outstanding. I looked at the menu. I would come back for appetizers and dessert."

  • "We came here for my wife's birthday. I made a reservation through opentable and specifically wrote that we are celebrating my wife's birthday. However, no mention of it was made at any point. We were seated promptly. The drinks were pretty good, although our waiter never heard of a Lychee martini before. Calamari we got wasn't good at all. Way under-seasoned and soggy :( Crab cakes were very good. My Cesar salad was warm and not tasty either. For entree, I got the Diver scallops. They were too salty for my taste. We ordered cheesecake for dessert. Menu said it was light and fluffy, however it was pretty heavy and almost rubbery. I wasn't impressed with the place at all. Atlanta restaurants are much better. We won't be back."

  • "I was the one who suggested we try this place. I have to say the food was good but the service was awful. We were a party of seven and our bill was $385. Service should have been top notch but right from the beginning things took a wrong turn. After filling five water glasses our server had to refill the water pitcher, oops no ice. Have some refreshing bath water. Next comes the bread. Tasteless but pretty when skillfully cut into cubes. Salad please but with ranch dressing. Ok oops no ranch. Ranch is the number one selling salad dressing since 1992 when it overtook italian. Next. I am having soup and salad (you pick the dressing) for my meal. Oops came out with the appetizers. Not too bad. My sister's meal came out after we were all done."

  • "We came for restaurant week, never heard of the place before, and I think we left with mixed feelings. Some things were delicious - the duck breast and the bread pudding were both phenomenal, and the frog legs were pretty great. Others adequate, the pork tenderloin, tasted fine but very dry, the salmon cakes, again were good but not great. Same with their signature strawberry pretzel cheesecake, it was good. Then some things totally missed the mark. The risotto next to the duck breast tasted like paste, the ratatouille veggies were heavily undercooked, and that's not a good thing to do to eggplant. I'd say it was worth the $21.21, but I do think it could be better."

  • "My wife and went there for our anniversary dinner. We were heartily greeted by their maitre d', Sean, and seated quickly. The ambiance was very romantic, dimly lit, and timeless. The pianist was definitely skilled, but his strong point was a "Billy Joel" style of music. A jazzy piano would have been a better match for the Ambiance and Occasion. However, the live music was pleasant and not too loud. The service was excellent and the food was much, much better than expected. ...really amazing in presentation and taste! Definetly try their Crab Cakes! We will come back here on a subsequent parent's night out!"

  • "My food was pretty good but my husbands was very full, he had a fish special. In addition my daughter had some pasta that the waitress said wasn't spicy, I tried it and it was very spicy. Rather then taking it back the waitress said next time I can ask them to not make it spicy. Also the waitress was very off she wasn't there half the time and the rest of the time she was hovering. After we finished we had to ask twice for our check. The owner though was very friendly. We probably won't be back."

  • "Adam's Restaurant is a wonderful place to eat and we had a good time except for one thing - we were seated next to the kitchen where the wait staff went in and out. It's hard to have a romantic dinner with all the commotion. Our server was great! We never had to ask for refills or anything. Food was delicious, things like fish were perfectly cooked and portion sizes were enough that we went away stuffed. However, the scallops entree was supposed to have a vegetable serving, but instead it had a half dozen spinach leaves as a garnish. I recommend this restaurant, but don't let them seat you next to the kitchen!"

  • "I reserved a table and asked for a private table making them aware of my plans to propose after dinner. They did an amazing job accommodating my wishes in every regard, it went perfectly even the piano player played an Elton John song first (Her favorite artist :-). They even sat us at a huge table despite a huge waiting line soon afterwards and located us where we could hear the piano player easily who was excellent as well. My now Fiance' was so happy with everything and we will dine there every June 7th each year from now on. You cannot go wrong bringing your special peeps here to dine because the food is great and reasonable considering the quality. The scallops and grouper were excellent."

  • "Went to Adam's for Mother's Day with hubby kids (ages 19 & 22). Started out with bread served with a variety of flavored butters which we all loved. Then She Crab Soup which was out of this world! I had the scallops served over risotto and spinach - delicious! My husband and kids all got filets. They were all very pleased with their steaks as well. To top it off, we even had dessert (which is unusual for us) - We all shared so we could all have a taste - bread pudding, creme brulee and chocolate mousse were all delicious. Unfortunately, our table was by the front window and as the sun was setting, it was glaring right onto our table which made it a little warm but other than that it was a very pleasant & comfortable atmosphere. "

Usually when I order food at any restaurant, there are problems with requests. My chicken was exactly as I asked for it, tender and delicious. The cheesecake was homemade with pureed blueberry sauce -- divine! I will go back again and again."

  • "We dined at Adam's for Mother's Day and it was an AWESOME experience! First, we had to change the reservation time at the last minute (just hours before) and they were VERY accommodating. Upon arrival, they sat us immediately. The waiter Matt was great - very nice and attentive. The maître d' Shaun was WONDERFUL! He came over to our table several times to check on us, and took the time to have a conversation with my elderly grandmother (including using a few German phrases - her first language). Then, proceeded to serve her a dessert of her choice "on the house". It was a GREAT dining experience, all the way around! We will return and tell friends."

They even brought us a complimentary dessert - Ice cream with Scotch :) ... Owner checked in with us and everyone was so friendly. Highly recommend for any occasion. Pricey but WELL WORTH it "
