Diner Reviews
  • "Drove up from Buckhead so it was around 45 minutes. Food was good and service was exceptional. They did a great job of making sure we were pleased with experience. We were!"

  • "Back for another great dinner and we were not disappointed. Brought a friend visiting us from California and the experience was outstanding. We always ask for a table near the piano and love the interaction. If you've never been to Adam;s, do yourself a favor and go soon."

  • "This is truly a hidden gem, an intown class restaurant in downtown Buford. The filet is amazing, it is the only thing I order when dining there. We enjoy going in for drinks, desert and fun upbeat piano music on the weekends. It is awesome to have such a great place 10 minutes from the house."

  • "Wonderful food, especially the fried green tomatoes, flavored butter and bread and bread pudding to rival my husband's grandmother's. Their was a very talented singer/piano player on 3/7/14, but the music made it a bit difficult to have a conversation without having to raise our voices so we could hear each other. Overall, the experience was very good, but a bit pricey, which is why I would recommend Adam's for special occasions."

  • "Having eaten at this restaurant many time I was not disappointed by the food or waiter service, they were fantastic as always, but I was very disappointed by the hostess at the front. I specifically requested a booth as always but was told when I arrived that it was unavailable only to look at the empty booth for the next 90 minutes while my party ate their meal at a very crowded table. She seemed more interested in talking with her friend than actually looking at the computer to see my reservation."

  • "Adam's is a gem in the heart of Buford. The food is excellent, the service is impeccable, and the bartenders are very skilled at making drinks. The Gorgonzola Crusted Filet Mignon was outstanding - cooked to perfection with a wonderful blend of flavors. If you go on Thursday, Friday or Saturday night, you'll get to experience the piano player. He's a very talented performer who knows a wide range of music and thoroughly engages the patrons. This is my new go-to restaurant."

  • "I wish the seating had have been a little less crowded. There was a table very close to our left and right and when the server came to the table to our right, it was a bit uncomfortable because his back was to us and very close."

  • "Fried green tomatoes, mushroom soup, shrimp pasta all marginal. Apple tart with ice cream good. Speak easy downstairs uneventful (may have been too early). Might return late night for piano but nothing else."

  • "Adams was a great dining experience. The filet was by far the best on the menu. I would highly suggest it. Service was a little slow but they we're very busy. I recommend getting reservations."

  • "We had a wonderful time at Adam's. The chef made a special "kids fare" for our 8 and 10 year old grandkids. They took a special request from us for the singer/player at the piano bar. Wish we could have received some points with Open Table on making this reservation with you."

  • "Had heard about Adam's from several people. Good food. Service was fair - slow with no explanation as to why. We had a group of 8 and were sat in the very back of restaurant so unable to see piano bar. Difficult to hear music due to noise. Will give it another chance"

  • "We went on a Saturday night - the food was a little overpriced and not as fancy as I would expect. But the piano bar made it! If you like live music, an interactive piano man, this place is for you! Thanks for a fun night!"

  • "I noticed recent reviewers had problems with service. I have no idea what they were talking about! Laurel was our server and she did a spectacular job. I noticed too that the owner was out front and very attentive to what was going on. Be appeared to greet many patrons as if they were regulars. That's always a good sign. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's another great experience to add to the list of downtown Buford finds."

  • "Had some friends up from Mobile, had heard about Adams, liked the idea they took reservations. We arrived and it was like we were on a first name basis for years. After being seated by Adam and Richard it was like we were the focus of the wait staff all evening. The piano man was playing and we were front and center. The experience was a 10, and the food was right there also a 10. Everyone had ordered something different and everyone was raving about their selection. The she crab soup was outstanding. We are going back with another couple tonight."

  • "This has always been my favorite restaurant but I can no longer go based on my experience on Sat. night. I have spent thousands at this place and they could care less. We arrived as 2 couples and asked for a check for each couple. We waited 20 minutes to order. 20 more minutes for our drinks. When we ordered another drink when the food came we got them 30 minutes later after the meal. We complained to the manager and asked to speak to the owner who is always walking around but he refused to talk to us. 3 hours after we got there we finally received our bill and discovered they charged us $11.50 each for a "split check fee" . The manager said he could do nothing and said that he did not want to loose his job! What kind of Owner is this?!"

  • "Had a 7:30 dinner reservation. Arrived a few minutes early to a packed restaurant. Was told to wait in the bar which was fine by us. Enjoyed a drink. After 35 minutes we checked and was told they were working on it. After another 35 minutes we walked out - the hostess just shrugged. We did enjoy a delicious dinner next door at Sperata!"

  • "We had a reservation and got seated in about five minutes. Which was great because the place was very busy. The problem was that we sat there for 30 minutes without any service. About halfway through we flagged down what looked to be the manager of the place and asked if he would order us some drinks, but they never arrived. After 30 minutes we left. Too bad because we have had good experiences there in the past. Just appeared to be way under staffed."

  • "We had a party of four on a busy Friday evening. We were seated immediately and our waiter came to our table within 5 minutes. Our drink order took over 10 minutes to arrive. Appetizers were also slow. Our entrees took nearly an hour from when we ordered to arrive at the table. All were delicious, but one entree (a very nice sea bass dish) was luke-warm by the time it got to our table. Steaks were cooked to perfection, other fish dish (Atlantic salmon) also very nice. We would have had desserts, but based on the amount of time it had taken, decided to pass. Overall, very good food, but maybe we have been better off on a less busy night."

  • "We dined on a Friday night. We found the menu to have many things that we would order. We chose the Gorgonzola filet and the pork loin. Both were cooked to perfection. The steak rivaled any I'd had before and paid twice as much for. The pork was moist and tender. There was a love pianist that we really enjoyed. Definitely will be going again. Try this place- you won't be sorry."

  • "Our first time everyone was nice, friendly, warmth, and very welcoming. Piano man seem to complete the evening for us. It was both of us have a birthday. He entertain us with any song that we ask for. Even some not suppose to play with the piano. He would make it happen by playing the song."

  • "This is my favorite place to go for a night out. Being a pianist myself, I am usually turned off by bar pianists, but Mark, the pianist here is really amazing and so much fun! I will go back again and again!"

  • "We were with another couple at Adam's for New Year's Eve and enjoyed ourselves very much. It was a little loud but fun for the occasion and it was a Prix Fix menu which was also very good but couldn't tell you about the regular options or if it would be good for a romantic spot."

  • "Great music. The piano player is awesome. The food was just so-so. Ordered the filet. It was cooked the way I asked but the side dishes; Gratin potatoes was dry and with little taste. The sautéed vegetables was ordinary with little flavor. My friend had scallops with risotto. It was good. Overall the great music and singing made for a fun evening. For great food, go next door to Sperata then to Adams for great entertainment."

  • "Took out 2 other couples for dinner for X-Mas - had 7:15 reservations - still waiting on food at 9:15 - when food finally came - 2 entree were missing - then 1/2 hour later 1 came and other one was not put into kitchen by mistake - so hour later that entrée came - tried to compensate us with drinks - but we had had our fill since we sat there so long. Sad as it could have been good"

  • "We went last Friday to celebrate our wedding anniversary and our experience was excellent. The ambience, our waiter, the food and the attentions were like we were the only couple there. Very personal and great food. The pianist make the place even more romantic. This is now our special place in Buford. Simply an outstanding place."

  • "Using Open Table to make a dinner reservation is so easy. We were able to select the time we wanted, and then be seated immediately upon our arrival in an area of the restaurant we requested. The food was delicious and the service was great. Sometimes the piano player and bar area gets a bit loud, but it's nice to see people out and enjoying themselves"

  • "A return visit for us, we love this place. We both enjoyed the Gargonzola Filet after starting with the Fried Green Tomatoes and a Wedge salad. Always great food and good service."

  • "The only thing that would have made this an outstanding experience is if it would have been a bit more quiet. There was a large party taking the two tables on both sides of ours and they were quite energetic."

  • "There were four of us and we all agreed that there was nothing special about our dining experience. The food was mediocre. Equal to something I could have put together quickly at home and I'm not much of a cook. The place was so loud that we had to shout to each other to talk. The server was quite nice but got no support from the kitchen. It took way too long for our food to be delivered after we ordered...probably 45 min. No where near worth the price."

  • "We were looking forward to dining at this restaurant. The service was fantastic however, the food was really poor. I ordered the Salmon which was decent at best. It was served with rice and veg. The rice was horrific. My wife ordered the Sea Bass and her dish came with the rice as well. She thought the rice was terrible and mentioned this to our waitress. The waitress brought my wife some mashed potatoes for her to make up for the rice. The mash potatoes tasted like instant potatoes and was very lumpy. The atmosphere was great and the wine was delicious. As well as the service. Unfortunately, the food did not reflect the $100+ bill. We will return, but only to sit at the bar and enjoy the music."

  • "This restaurant has taken a slide backwards in my opinion. During my most recent visit, I had the cesar salad, which contained the core of the head from the lettus. Not appealing, even with great dressing. We had the oysters Rockefeller and the receipe was strange to begin with, but half of the toppings were scorched. My filet was a tail piece that had a line of fat in it that turned it into three knobules. Finally, and for the love of God, would somebody please tell them to rotate in a new piano player. This guy's shtick is old to those of us that dine here monthly, I cannot imagine dining there weekly. He's too loud, tries to get people to sing along (people in a restaurant have food in their mouths) and I didn't come for the sing along."
