"Tasty American cuisine. Little or no options for a vegetarian or vegan. Perfect for a pre-show meal at the Mayne Stage. Bottles of wine purchased at the restaurant may be taken into the concert hall."

"We had tkts to a music event at the Maynestage Theater, located next door. So we decided to try dinner at this pub. The walleye pike fish sandwhich served with vinegar fries was delicious. The fish was perfectly prepared. My fish and chips were tasty. (The fish could of been taken out of the fryer 30 seconds sooner since it was a slightly thinner cut than the sandwich.) Still, it had a good flavor. Both dishes were served with a homemade tarragon tartar sauce. French onion soup was rich with bubbly browned cheese; a meal in itself. The salads coming out were large enough for 2-3 to share as a side dish. Many nice wines by the glass to choose from as well as an extensive beer menu. Definately would return for a meal and warm atmosphere."

"I had a bad experience at Act One. The server had no focus or follow through, and his attitude was unacceptable-- not a good sign for a server. I hope that he was just in the weeds for our table."

"I really loved the vibrancy and the location. The seating was horrid. The place was packed and we were seated at the end of of a row of four seater booths...right in the line of traffic.Twice my feet were stepped on: once by wait-staff and once by a patron. Should I mention that, in a rush to serve another patron that my water glass nearly 'met' the floor - I caught it in time. The food: I selected the fish and chips - for $15. I would not have a problem with cost, I just expected more than 'McDonald's. I'll try it Act One again and ensure that I'm not seated in the line of traffic an not order fish and chips!"

"Everything we had was delicious - the calimari so tender & with just the right amount of coating. I do miss the scallops I used to enjoy in prior years but realize the trend is a bit different now."

"Although the menu is small, the food portion and taste was LARGE!! Great wait staff, lots of tv's for the sports minded and a good beer selection. Good for groups but not for a romantic night out (which was what we were hoping for!) All in all, we'd go back."

"What made Act One shine was their outstanding customer service. When there was an "over-booking" computer glitch...the maitre 'd did everything possible to assure each customer's needs were met. He explained, apologized, gave options, and kept checking back continuing to offer improved seating options. He turned what could have been a negative into a positive..and he exceeded our expectations. With the incredible Mayne Stage attached...this is a great food and entertainment venue. We will be back!"
