  • "We have enjoyed Acre on several occasions and we love everything about it--atmosphere, food, and libations. The carrot-cake bread pudding was AMAZING!"

  • "Acre was a spectacular restaurant for my husband and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was awesome (try the brisket, it was delicious) and their drinks tasted great. Their menu changes constantly, but they always have fresh seafood, vegetables, etc. I would highly recommend it."

  • "We have been to Acre several times for lunch and dinner. The food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent."

  • "Party of 7, no one's food was not as described on the menu. Everything was extraordinary."

  • "We were thrilled with the wonderful menu and uniqueness of food preparation - both appetizers and entrees. We are wine enthusiasts but did not buy a bottle of wine (despite good array ) because the price was forbidding - a focus on wines over $45 and up to over $100). This is not appropriate for Auburn. I read, just yesterday, in the most recent Wine spectator which features the annual restaurant wine list ratings, that Acre is notable for inexpensive wine!!!!"

  • "Theirs was the best and I had them at every restaurant I ate at on my 3 day Auburn excursion. ."

  • "Again, Acre was fantastic. We had the charcuterie board, pimento cheese, and fried green tomatoes as appetizers. They were all very good. I had the butt rubbed grouper. It was served with a fried grit cake and arugula salad. It was delicious, fish was cooked well, grit cake was twice as good as I expected. My wife had the duck, which was cooked perfectly. Our other two guests had the shrimp with pasta. This dish was three huge shrimp served over fettuccine with tomato butter. This was outstanding as well. We shared each dessert and they were all very good, however, we all agreed that the best was the key lime panna cotta. Acre never disappoints us!"

  • "We met friends at Acre for my husband's birthday dinner party. As always, the food and drinks were excellent. The fresh fish dishes are always good. They grow many of their veggies and fruits on property. Service was attentive. One of the best restaurants and chefs in our area. Highly revommend!!"

  • "...supporting Acres and giving the area a wonderful "farm to table" restaurant. Everything was fresh, fresh, fresh! We chose to have several small plates and sides along with a bottle of wine. The wine list is very nice. Our sides were fried okra, zucchini, fresh tomatoes... which all must have been harvested hours earlier. We also enjoyed calamari, ceviche and pork belly. The evening was topped with a wonderful panna cotta dessert. We will return!"

  • "My friends and I try to vary where we go for lunch but always end up back at Acre. Peaceful, comfortable ,yet stylish, decor. Everyone on staff is friendly and accomodating, As a vegeterian, I appreciate the willingness to adapt menu items. Auburn's best wine list."

  • "The large majority of newer restaurants are plagued with the task of trying to get up and running smoothly. Acre has not only accomplished this, but has exceeded any expectations. While their menu is not the most cost effective to the casual diner, their service, speed, and quality were exemplary and made for a great dining experience. Their food was excellent, the waitress could not have been more helpful and friendly to first time visitors, and the speed at which the meal was completed in from seating to signing the check was admirable, not too quick but fast enough that little waiting was required. This restaurant's name is quickly spreading and for good reason and I wish them nothing but success in the future."

  • "My husband and I had dinner at Acre for the first time this weekend. I had the Snapper dish with grits; my husband had the Grouper dish with roasted potatoes. They were both very good. The Snapper dish is far richer and more heavily seasoned (cajun style). I honestly thought my husband's grouper was much better--though it was a thicker filet, it was lighter-tasting and flakier. We also enjoyed the Salad with walnuts and strawberries--excellent--and the carrot cake bread pudding--tasty. The tables are quite close together in many spots making private conversation challenging, but this does not bother us."

  • "We've been 4 times now, and not one complaint about anything. Amazing menu and wine selections, really cool atmosphere and great staff. The server we had two months ago even remembered us and came over to say hello when we brought our friends in from out of town. Acre is a real gem in this small town."

  • "Acre is new and special. The menu is always changing, in which everything is delicious. The atmosphere is great. The staff is well trained and very polite. It has been added to the local favorites."

  • "I have been to Acre on three occasions now, and the food, drinks, service, and ambience do not disappoint. Excellent selection, local flair, and well-informed wait staff. If you are in Auburn or nearby, you need to check it out."

  • "We had a great night of dinning. I was our first time at Acre's and will not be our last thanks for a great night"

  • "Overcooked fish swimming in butter and super-oily, yet under-cooked, nearly unstuffed pies, and a noise level so loud we could barely talk(along with the waiter pouring a glass of water on my mother-in-law) sadly marked our recent visit to Acre."

  • "My wife visited once with a group of ladies from Montgomery. I decided to surprise her and made reservations. The atmosphere and food were beyond anything i could have imagined. thank you for a wonderful experience and will for sure see you again!"

  • "The food was incredible! However, our server was cut during our meal and no one told us and no one ever came to check on us. We had to flag down another waiter to ask for more drinks and our check! If that had not happened, the whole experience would have been perfect! We will definitely come back!"

  • "The farm to table movement has bece the latest good idea to be adopted by too many restaurants who do not know how to truly source local food or who make uninspired meals with it. Acre is truly the exception. The food is all locally sourced, fresh and wonderfully prepared. The portions are plentiful and the menu is creative without losing its southern roots. The dinner was excellent and the service was wonderful. "

  • "Even though we had a reservation and arrived early, we received a terrible seating. We were placed in the booth/table. Over the next 30 min they continued to wedge other couples around us even though several tables were open. "

  • "Food: excellent, service: excellent, setting/decor: excellent, beer selection: excellent. Valet parking -- not excellent. Terrible idea, in fact. Please find another way to deal with the lack of parking. I don't want some stranger driving my car nor do I want to tip him for moving my car 30 yards from the valet stand to the parking spaces. "

  • "No dishes for vegetarians but a decent menue for meet eaters. Food was very expensive and we got a tiny table and needed to juggle the plates. The waitress handed the bill while we where half way through. The fish dish was excellent."

  • "Beautiful inside, service was good, but the food was disappointing. This was my second time dining here and the first time was great. I got the tomato soup and beef tenderloin. Soup was fabulous, good cut of beef, but the veggies were sparse and unappetizing. The potatoes were fried and there was barely any mushrooms. Not very healthy. Disappointed that the dessert menu has changed, bring back the smore pots de creme!"

  • "We have been to Acre for lunch and dinner and we prefer the service of the lunch time over dinner. The staff that works during the day is very attentive whereas dinner service seems a bit slow and not as smooth. Great food and nice selections."

  • "First time to Acre and was impressed. Menu was very nice with options for all. They had good beer on tap. The private label IPA was very good. All four of us really enjoyed our food. I had the Hamburger and it was superb. Great option for Auburn and we will be back."

  • "I recommend this restaurant highly. Several other restaurants nearby are rated highly but they can't hold a candle to the Acre. I can't find a single negative to attribute to this place and I am sure I will be returning often.. Totally enjoyable. I wrote it up on TripAdvisor as the best restaurant in Auburn/Opelika area. Period!"

  • "This was our second time at Acre and it was even better than our first visit (which was great). We had the charcuterie board which had 6 house-made cured sausages, pickled okra, etc. Everything on it was great, the best was the pecans wrapped in fatback. We also had the fried green tomato appetizer and it was stellar. The tomato slices were stacked with a layer of pimento cheese between them and then topped with lump crab meat. My wife had a filet, cooked perfectly, with beans and potatoes which she enjoyed. I had the "butt rubbed" redfish with grits and it was incredible. Living in NY/NJ area, I have paid twice as much for meals and not enjoyed them as much as I did Acre."

  • "Brunch was delish!! Although the food stations seemed a little close together making it hard to to maneuver with the crowd, the food made up for the hassle. My mother lives in Alabama and we live in Georgia. We are constantly looking for good restaurants to meet - especially in the Auburn area as it is half way for both is us. We will be coming back to Acre. Looking forward to the next meal from the menu."
    Dined on 5/13/2014
  • "The food was good and the prices were even better but next time I'll ask them to lay low on the salt. Everything was salty so it was a bit much but the pimento cheese was amazing and my filet was cooked to medium rare perfection!"

  • "I took my wife for Mother's Day. The food was wonderful, the wine was good. But we were put in a small table directly in the flow of traffic. Not a particularly memorable occasion. I'm just not sure I got sufficient value for the three figures I dropped for dinner. I will give it another chance, probably for business but not for pleasure."

  • "Acre is the best thing to happen to Auburn. I'm just saying. I feel at least 30% more cultured from the moment I step in the door."

  • "Will be appreciated by those who like to cook or eat fresh ingredients well prepared"

  • "We received a gift card for Acre and were apprehensive as we hadn't heard of Acre before. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by multiple people and the staff was very welcoming. Everything from the cleanliness to the food to the assistance in understanding the menu was excellent. We definitely will be coming back!"

  • "I'm afraid that if your food doesn't improve, we will not stick with you. this was the second time we had food that was simply not good (our of the ten or so times we've been)"

  • "Requested a booth over 2 weeks in advance, hostess tried to seat us at a half booth where you r practically sitting in strangers laps. There were 4 full size booths open; after insisting, we were seated at one. Once seated, waited over 5 mins to b acknowledged. Ordered red fish which was supposed to b served with a side of fried okra. There were maybe 6 pieces of okra! C, mon now, you know you can do better than that for $50. Okra us not that rare or expensive. On the plys side, the food we were served was well prepared. Needless to say, we will not b going back here in the near future."
