Acre RestaurantACRE is amazingWe liked this spot when it was Charlie's Ale House (a couple-few years ago), and were nervous when it changed over... but it was silly to be concerned! It's only gotten better as time has gone on, from the beer and wine list to the oyster bar ("Sip & Slurp" oyster happy hour from 5-7 p.m. on weeknights) to the menu (pork burger is awesome, as is everything else). The owner(s?) moved toward providing a "small plate" experience after the success of their Ombra Italian enoteca next door (serving "chichetti," like Italian tapas) -- which is also amazing -- but don't think for a second you won't leave satisfied... plenty of great food on your table at any given time! And, for beer lovers: I'm fairly certain all servers are Cicerone certified.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AM1$ oysters are the best in1$ oysters are the best in town. Food is excellent and always quick to come out of the kitchen. Staff is knowledgeable about the daily menu and the ever changing beer selection keeps me coming back. 5 star-A+ legit!!4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMService above and beyond and yummy! We enjoyed the upscale comfort food that we had at Acre. though we were late for our res (I called ahead as a warning), they gave us a cozy booth and let us linger long after we were done with dessert. Gracious and friendly staff!3/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
