Using mostly-organic ingredients, Acqua has risen up the food chain, so to speak, and become one of the most highly respected and desired eateries in the Downtown Manhattan area. Acqua boasts a diverse menu with many fish, meat and pasta dishes to choose from.
From 2pm to 7pm on weekdays, they run a special "aperitivo hour," where you can wet your whistle with a Bellini, Mimosa and a slew of other specialty drinks along with some very inspired antipasti, compliments of the house.

I went here for a first date and it was perfect. Good music playing and a very casual atmosphere where you could hang out and talk. It wasn't overpriced and the food was good. We sat down for food a drank a bottle of wine fore about 2 and a half hours.

It is a small, pleasant place. We went at an off-hour, so it wasn't crowded. Service was courteous and helpful. the food was well prepared. Pizza had a thin crust; pasta was appropriately al dente, with pleasant sauces; The soup of the day -- potato and cheese, was a bit bland but still tasty.

Well, I don't typically spend over $100.00 during a meal for two (most Southern boys don't, believe me), but the gal I was with was certainly worth it... And I'm sure glad it was at Acqua: they had a very decent wine selection, the service/staff were excellent and the pasta dishes we ordered were primo. I highly recommend it--I'm told, $48 is a great price for a good Merlot, and we certainly enjoyed that bottle at our little table for two.

The mozzarella was a bit chewy and I didn't care for the raw beef appetizer. The pesto pasta for dinner was fantastic and the pappardelle well cooked; the orichette with sausage was a bit more ordinary. The tiramasu for dessert was fluffy and generous, with lots of good cheese. The service was very good and appropriately attentive and responsive, and the atmosphere was nice, though the tables a bit close together. I would return but I'd rather go when it's a little less crowded, as the tables were quite close together.

Planned a business dinner in NY and found Acqua via Open Table. Reviews were good, so took the chance. Worked out great. Clients really enjoyed the local "find", the service was very attentive, great recommendation on wine, food was very good and all at a relatively reasonable cost. I could see this restaurant getting a little noisy, but our table in the back worked out perfectly! Totally enjoyed the evening!

We can't believe we've been coming to this area for years and only now discovered Acqua at Peck Slip. Great pizza--the Gorgonzola in the 4-cheese mix was a fabulous complement to the blend of cheeses. The pastas we ate were also quite delicious. Can't wait to get back to the area so we can try some of the other dishes.

Great dining experience overall! the appetizers were delicious, very fresh tasting. I have some food allergies but our server knew exactly how to accommodate to my needs, and knew exactly what was in the food which was a bonus. Delicious pasta entrees, and a tasty lemon sorbet w/ limoncello and vodka topped off a great dinner!
