My husband & I wanted to go somewhere for some tapas & a good bottle of wine. We found both at Accent. We enjoyed the small rustic room, great service and good food. As I said, we just wanted tapas so we had the brushetta, carpaccio, smoked salmon & garlic shrimp. We enjoyed all of these with a delicious Russian River Zinfandel. Enjoyable!

Their food is always hot and cooked just right. the vegetables are delicious and the weinerschnitzel (?) is crisp and tender. our comfort food is the French Mornet, great for a cold night with a glass of wine. One of our favourite restaurants.

This is a pub setting and not a European restaurant. The only thing European about it is that they charge $2 for bread which is a day old! Service was poor, food overcooked. Would not recommend the restaurant.

After our last visit to Accent (and as a group, we have been going there for a number of years) we decided that it is time to move on and choose a different restaurant for our get-togethers. Waitress was rushing us to order drinks and food and we couldn't figure out why; we like to relax, sip our beers and make an order at a later time. She did say in the end that they are expecting a large group and that it would be better if we would move now before ordering the food to a different table. Not too happy about that. And then the food..we ordered beef carpaccio amongst other entrees, and in all honesty, I thought that meat was painted on the plate, not thinly sliced. I don't even think that meat weight would show up on a scale.Sad.

Once again, the service, food and wine was exceptional at Accent. The staff at Accent does not change daily, as in many restaurants. Most of the staff has been there for quite sometime, and treats customers great. They all know the wine & beer list as well as the menu very well. No complaints once again./

My husband and I found the restaurant a bit noisy, but the food was excellent. The sauerkraut soup had a sharp tang that was surprising and interesting. The tomato and boccoccini cheese salad was well presented, with slices of tomato and chess alternated with fresh basil, and a refreshing balsamic vinaigrette dressing. My schnitzel was well done, and the vegetables were lovely: crisp and well presented. The strudel had nice, crisp apples, but could have used a bit more cinnamon or cardamon for flavour. Overall, a very noteworthy meal. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the specialty beers in the house, and made a great suggestion.

When I dine out I expect a restaurant to be well kept, good food and fair price. My guest had a dish Monet that had mostly potatoes and very little chicken. My Schnitzel was beef rather than veal. It was ok but not great. Very noisy with the traffic off 104St. The restaurant needs some serious renovations as it looks very tired. Service was very good

I love the ambiance and menu at Accent. It has become one of my favorite weekend dining spots. I like that I can book reservations on line, and because it's a favorite of so many, the only bad thing is that it's quite hard to get into on the spur of the moment on a weekend.

There is nothing really bad to say about this place! When you walk in it reminds me of the neighbourhood pub, but that is NOT the food you get. It was AMAZING. The Bocconcini and Tomato Salad was the best one I have ever had. My husband and I agreed next time we will each have to get our own. He had the Mornet, which was very rich and excellent taste. I had the special...Crab and asparagus stuffed chicken breast. All the ingredients were fresh and of good quality. Can't say enough about how good the food was. It is a smaller place with lots of character. Service was good, and the place was clean. Overall, there is nothing bad to say...I would definitely recommend this to friends.

The setting provided both a casual and formal environment. I was in work clothes, as was my date, but we didn't stand out like a sore thumb, nor did the university students with their backpacks. The wine we oringinally selected was no available but the second choices we on par. We started off with the bacon wrapped lobster (my date will eat anything with bacon), they were the perfect thing to hit the pallet after a glass of Shiraz. I enjoyed the Accent Salad (a little bit of everything)a lot, even though I requested dressing on the side. My date, did not enjoy his meal because it was colourless and tasted only of butter. I was happy and would go back. He would also but definitely get the filet instead.

went there for the forkfest menu. Have been there several times before and the food has always been consistent. Not a big drinker but the wine that was "included" with the forkfest menu was only soso at best. I had the white and it tasted like apple juice gone bad... Should have went with the beer from alleykat even though it probably won't match with the food. Anyhow it's only $35 so the price justify the "quality". Would have preferred the option of scrapping the drink and just sticking with the food esp for those who don't drink.

Food portions were a little bit too small but the quality was superb. I gave a low rating for service solely because of the server we had, which forgot everything and walked by our table a couple of times clueless as to how we didn't have cutlery to eat once our food had arrived, and then she also forgot to bring us our bill. We had asked for these things already too, it's not like we were expecting her to read our minds.

  • Great food, ambiance does not match
    OpenTable Diner Since 2010
    Dined on 4/20/2012
To be honest, the first impression of the lounge was one of disappointment. It is long over do for a facelift. The ambiance is one of a pub, not a lounge or a restaurant. The table tops are terribly worn, and the seats hard. We were greeted promptly by a lovely and friendly woman, who allowed us to choose our own table, although she had one reserved for us because of our reservation. We chose one that was centrally located in the lounge. We ordered two appetizers to share as well as our entrees which were the goulash and the wiener schnitzel. The food was excellent! It came out hot, and beautifully plated. Not to belabour the point, however good the food was, the ambiance detracted from its enjoyment.
