AccantoYum!The Portland Dining Month menu was great! My dinner companions and I enjoyed the dishes. Particularly the soup, salad and main entrees. The marcona almonds were a bit too salty. The cocktails were relish.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is what dining out is forUnbelievably good. The gnocchi with lamb bolognaise was so good I wanted to live in it. Their marinated olives might be the best I've ever had. Just really good, uncomplicated food with great flavors that really came together. Fantastic.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAccanto: great for brunch! My first visit to Accanto last Sunday for brunch revealed a masterful approach to creative and delicious fare--it's my new favorite brunch place, in spite of being a bit on the noisy side.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMCant wait to go back!Great mix of flavors in each dish. Healthy choices. Good coffee. Friendly staff.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMportland dining out monththis was the first night of portland's dining out month with 3-course meals for $29. accanto did the program proud with a 3-course with nibbles--be sure to try the olives and almonds. the soup was delicious as was the veggie main. my only complaint was that the panna cotta dessert with strawberries in balsamic did not need to be full of black pepper. but then again, i detest black pepper and deplore its use in EVERYTHING.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMlow key but great foodEverything we ate at Accanto was excellent and the service was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. If you want really good food in a fairly small and casual atmosphere, this restaurant fills the bill. And speaking of bills, you can spend either a little or more since they have small dishes or bigger entrees. It's not too expensive. The dessert we had the was one of the best I've had in a long time. It was like a chocolate flan with marzipan and caramel...delicious.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner at AccantoTried Accanto for dinner after reading great reviews and wasn't disappointed. Everything was fresh and tasted good. Will have to try their brunch next time in Portland.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFresh & innovativeWanted to order everything on menu, what we did was fabulous. The clever use of polenta in the tiramisu resolved the typical problem of one note texture. Staff was very pleasant & helpful.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThe noise level was very loudThe noise level was very loud and we had to shout across the table to be heard....cement floors and high ceilings really amplify the noise and we all found that a bit bothersome but the food is good and the staff is congenial.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways good food and pleasant staffThe menu is much mor adventurous than your standard bkfst/brunch places. It is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The dinner menu is great too. The bar made a great bloody mary!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious Italian FoodThe dinner was wonderful, from unique Trout Mousse on Cream puff pastry, potato, leek, spinach soup that was bright green, perfect thickness and accented with just the right amount of Truffle oil. Butter lettuce salad was fresh and tasty too.
The lasagna was light, the orchiette pasta homemade and chewy, and the fennel sausage nice and spicy.
Would recommend dining here! But do make a reservation as the place was busy on a Friday night.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a great choiceAccanto is one of my new favorites. (Minor issue: The menu was different from published on Web site.)5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMTasty Brunch!Fantastic food + flavors to be found at Accanto! This was a second visit for brunch and both were great experiences. Eggs Benedict, trout hash, deviled eggs and the donuts with lemond curd shared equal praise. Freshest, most flavorful breakfast potatoes at a PDX brunch spot I have had in a LONG time. Added bonus here- you can make reservations.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the food at Accanto.Love the food at Accanto. I have eaten dinner several times and brunch a couple times. You can order small plates or a full meal. The bartender is excellent. The staff is helpful giving suggestions and accommodating your needs. Restaurant is small and definitely need reservations, especially on the weekend. Brunch is one of the best in town.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Food! We're frequent diners at Accanto. They never disappoint!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe shared the Dutch BambinoWe shared the Dutch Bambino with rhubarb compote and cornmeal breaded fried oysters among the 5 of us. Yum. I had the trout hash which was marvelous. Two in our party had the asparagus and truffle omlette, one had the tradionale, and one had the duck hash with roasted beets. All excellent. Service was a little slow, but in a European lazy Sunday brunch kind of way. Music was a bit loud, but they turned it down upon request. Definitely will be back!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe butter lettuce salad wasThe butter lettuce salad was beautifully done with cream and sweet lemons. The pasta was homemade and nicely flavored with good pecorino cheese. Fresh bread, two kinds, and the perfect manhattan. Better than we'd hoped.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this restaurant. CanLove this restaurant. Can see what i am eating which is always delicious, can actually have an audible conversation with my table mates. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowlesgeable but not overly solicitous. Nice place.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first trip toThis was our first trip to Accanto in a while, and we left wondering way we hadn't come back sooner. Everything from the butter lettuce salads to the Brussels Sprouts to the Pastas was delicious. We had to make a play and so our charming server got us out in good time with making us feel rushed. Great place! (Now its time for big brother Genoa again!)4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGood waiter. Don't know hisGood waiter. Don't know his name. He bore a faint and distance resemblance to Sam Adams.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMAccanto is amazing. GreatAccanto is amazing. Great food, fantastic service, and awesome ricotta doughnuts!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Northwest Dining ExperienceI took my friends who were visiting from San Francisco to Accanto for brunch to show them what Northwest cuisine looks like. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The coffee was perfect and the service was very friendly. My only complaint is that our wait person seemed to get irritated that we did not leave quicker. I understand to some point, but it did not seem that there were people waiting for tables. It was a less than lovely ending to a wonderful experience.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome brunch.
