Valet is located at the intersection of 9th & K Streets (due to one-way streets guests must approach from 9th Street heading south then turn right onto K Street)

  • "Celebrated a special birthday with dinner at Acadiana last week. I've dined there many times and consider it one of my favorites. So, really disappointed this dining experience was just so "average." Pros: lovely booth, noise level, oysters app., biscuits, short ribs. Cons: Service/server pleasant but nothing special; about the service. Server should share a bit about the specials, notice we're out of biscuits w/out making us ask for more, ask if we'd like another drink, etc. . . Likewise, there was nothing special about our entrees either-- Crab cakes (okay), grouper (dry, dry, dry), seafood gumbo (bland). Very "Bonefish Grill" upscale-chain food and atmosphere. Missing usual unique, spicy southern charm and elegance!"

  • "We are big fans of the passion foods group, and acadiana is our all time fave!! Their brunch is delicious (and very filling), with excellent selections. Great band, love the decor. Wait staff is attentive, courteous and friendly. The only problem is that on Easter Sunday we found out they have discontinued their famous pecan pie!! Why? Why? Please reconsider That was the highlight of my meal every time I came to Acadiana"

  • "This is our 4th time at Acadiana and once again, can not complain at all about the quality of the food here. This time we went for a few appetizers, a few sides and a couple of entrees and shared. I was partial to the Collard Greens, the Cheese Grits and the Charbroiled Oysters, the devil eggs were tasty too. Our server was on top of her game, but this time we did notice that the kitchen was slow and I think that is because they had a big party going on in the back, but the food was so worth the wait. This place is at the top of my list of go-to places when I have visitors in town. My only concern now is that it was a hidden gem in a way, but I have a feeling with all the new construction in that area, it won't be for long. "

  • " The baked oyster appetizer was fantastic-I wished I'd ordered a couple of platters along with the bread and called it dinner. The barbecue shrimp entree seemed a bit on the overcooked side, but the jalapeno cheese grits were good-but the a la carte dish was not nearly enough to absorb all of the barbecue sauce. One other person in the group also got the barbecue shrimp, but the duck and red snapper entrees that the other two ladies got definitely fell short. My drink, a Category 5, lived up to its promise of being very sweet and tasting like juice, which is my preference. The mojitos others got were good. Dessert was a bust-from the creme brulee, to the pear tart and cherry ice cream and my root beer float. Wouldn't get them again. "

  • "The food overall was fine. Each dish we tried had one thing that was great about it, but then lacked in another area. The crispy duck had a great flavor, but was a bit chewy. The blackened redfish was cooked excellently, but was lacking a bit of flavor. The chicken sausage gumbo was a bit on the salty side. The three bean salad was a very nice and light dish (no complaints). One positive was the drinks and service were great. "

  • "The Roast Duck selection on the menu was just AWFUL X 3 people. I was so disappointed with having to pay for 3 meals for my guests as one of my past BEST dishes that I will delete this restaurant from my list completely. The menu stated crispy roast duck and we all got a duck meal that was full of duck fat that had been covered in a awful tasting so - called sauce/glaze that had been burnt and felt this was deliberately done. We deserve a full refund. I inquired if they had changed cooks since my last visit because it was evident that this Roast Duck selection was SCREWED - UP so bad that it over-shadowed the rest of food underneath the duck that too was over-cooked which has left a bitter taste buds of my 2 guests. ROAST - DUCK AWFUL!"

  • "We had a very nice office lunch at Acadiana. The complimentary biscuits with spicy marmalade are addictive. The crab and corn soup could have been heated a little more and could have stood a little more seasoning. I have had the crispy fried catfish fillets before and sometimes they are great and sometimes not. Today I tried the shrimp and grits. Despite some reviews I read, that was a good choice. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and everything was seasoned well, however, the menu listed the grits as being cheesy. There was no hint of cheese in the grit cake. Stay away from the spice pear cobbler, it was neither spiced nor what I consider cobbler. There was no crust, just crumble and the pears were not cooked enough."

  • "I looked at several restaurant reviews for places near Warner Theater so we could park once and hit both places. I'm SO glad I chose Acadiana. Service was excellent & not at all pretentious. Drinks, appetizers, entrees, dessert, all arrived well-paced & beautiful. Between two of us, we made it through 6 cocktails, each more delicious than the last. Basil Belle was my favorite. We made our way through some beautiful & well-balanced salads (a beet salad & a BLT salad), my first ever fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, perfectly cooked veal, perfectly cooked grouper, beignets, and some warm delicious coffee & hazelnut Baileys beverage. I wouldn't hesitate to order any of it again. Only problem is I needed to be rolled to the Warner afterwards."

  • "I love Acadiana but for the first time, I had a bad charboiled oyster. I knew the minute I put it in my mouth that it wasn't any good. It would have been nice to receive something off the bill since it was my main entree. The young woman who greeted me and my colleague was either having a bad day or that's just her temperament. I didn't feel welcomed at all but she did tell us to have a good afternoon. I guess she must have known she wasn't giving the best customer service. Hope the feedback helps. Not a complainer but I do believe in excellence of service!"

The menus were worn and soiled, the food lacked originality and left me wondering was it fresh and when was it prepared. We left after 30 minutes. This restaurant needs a chef or manager to take charge and bring what should be a great restaurant back to life."

  • "We had a business dinner here & everyone was impressed with dinner. Appetizers: beet salad, fried green tomatoes, my soup trio of gumbo, corn & crab chowder, and turtle soup- excellent. Little warm biscuits w pepper jelly & butter were divine. I had jumbo crab cakes & they were delicious- all crab and almost no crumb. I brought my mother for brunch the next day & the food was impeccable. We had salad with grilled rainbow trout & i had a shrimp w cheesy grits & bacon to die for. Service not quite as spot on as before( little things, water not getting refilled, having to flag down our server when not checked upon). But service both times was friendly, and I will definitely return"

  • "Great location, easy to find. But we were disappointed in our food choices. The corn & crab soup had shells in it. Our entrees of the crispy duck and BBQ shrimp tasted good, but left us feeling poorly for the rest of the evening and most of the next day - like we ate overly rich food. The crispy duck had virtually no dirty rice underneath and too many collard greens. We ordered a side of red beans and rice, and it did not come until after we finished our entrees. Our server never checked up on us until we had finished our entrees, either. The best part of our meal was our other appetizer - chicken and sausage gumbo; excellent. The tables where we sat are too close together as well. First visit - not inspired to rush back."

  • "A friend took me to Acadiana for my birthday and it was my first time there. We had a 6:30p reservation and I was happy to learn that it was still happy hour! So we got our drinks and appetizers for $5 for each item. We then each ordered the duck which was incredible! It was literally a half of a duck on theplate. It was tasty, non-gamey, and one of two best duck dishes I've had that was not made Chinese style. The dirty rice and collard greens were a perfect match to the duck. I gave the food rating 4 stars instead of 5 because the catfish appetizer (which was plentiful) was unfortunately, bland, even with the sauce. However, my friend and I are planning on returning and bringing another friend to enjoy the duck!"
