Thank you for creating a great casual but fancy enough sushi spot without the over the top little Tokyo cookie cutter atmosphere. It's a sweet little spot for a date, friends, and neighborhood spot. Prices are decent, foods is fantastic and chefs are top rate. And above all they've got options!!! So you can bring the sushi shy person and they won't starve in fact they will be very happy o know there are plenty of meats on sticks that are yummy!
Thanks again MC you rock my man5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA New Favorite Spot for UsMy wife and I were really in the mood for some great Japanese food but it was late in the afternoon on a Saturday so our usual choice Shojin (vegan Japanese) was all booked up. So we hunted online for about half an hour before deciding to try Aburiya. It was easy to find and parking was easy too. It was a *FUN* atmosphere but intimate too. It was really busy but we still got great service. They seated us in large wooden chairs at the sushi bar and we had our own sushi chef all night and also ordered from the kitchen. I was hungry and ordered seven items along with drinks. The food exceeded my expectations, everything was really good. It totally hit the spot. There is a fried chicken appetizer (whose name I don't remember) that is amazing--basically chicken breasts with skin apparently fried at terrific heat to turn them into delicous chicken-flavored air. Unbelievably light.
