At the head of our table, CEO Matthew provides the strategy and vision for our business, and leads our growth and operations to ensure that our products and services help create a growing number of excellent dining experiences.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, he served as OpenTable’s CFO for six years, during which time the number of our restaurant partners increased by a factor of seven, and grew to more than 200 million cumulative seated diners. He led us through an initial public offering in 2009. Before joining OpenTable, Matthew served in financial and management leadership positions for E-Loan, NetDynamics, and Berkeley Systems. He is a director of Xoom and Quantcast, is a Certified Public Accountant, and holds a BS in Accounting from Santa Clara University.
As our CFO, Duncan oversees financial operations at OpenTable.
Duncan previously co-founded and served as the CFO of SnapStick, a mobile app company, and served as CFO at Aricent, a worldwide technology services company. He was Vice President, Finance & Investor Relations at Flextronics and has also had leadership and financial roles at Sensory, Orbit Semiconductor, and Deloitte & Touche. Duncan is a Chartered Accountant and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of The San Francisco Foundation.
Karen agrees with Julia Child, who called dining with friends and family “one of life’s primal and most innocent delights, one that is both soul-satisfying and eternal.”
A talented leader with expertise in customer care, Karen puts the customer at the center of everything she does and is passionately dedicated to making each customer an engaged loyalist of OpenTable. She and her team work to attract, motivate, develop, and retain talented people who are dedicated to delivering excellent service to every OpenTable customer.
Before joining OpenTable in 2013, Karen built and led community and technical support operations for enterprises all around the world, from Fortune 100 companies to start-ups. Karen has been responsible for strategic design, implementation, and long-term management of community, customer care, and technical support teams at The Walt Disney Company, eHarmony, Sprint, and Restoration Hardware. Most recently, Karen was Vice President of Trust, Safety, and Community for SKOUT, where she led community, customer care, trust, and safety operations for domestic and international businesses. A California native, Karen attended the California State University at Chico.
Douglas oversees new business, strategic partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions worldwide.
Before joining OpenTable in 2001, Douglas was the VP of business and corporate development at Amazon. He has also held leadership roles at Accept.com, PointCast, Radius, and Claris. He has lived and worked extensively in Japan. Douglas holds a BA in Managerial Science and Political Science from Rice University.
Known for her mad salad-making skills, Elizabeth says her secret is a great homemade dressing, applied lightly.
Elizabeth leads the team responsible for helping restaurants optimize their front-of-house operations by developing new products, features, and products across platforms and environments.
At OpenTable since 2008, Elizabeth came from Intuit, where she led major product initiatives including TurboTax for the web. She has also worked in marketing and PR for a large YMCA and the nonprofit Computers for Schools. She earned a BA in International Relations from UC Davis.

Although Mike enjoys dining at the best restaurants worldwide, he continues his epic search for the perfect croque-monsieur.
Mike is responsible for our worldwide restaurant network development, and leads our global sales and account management teams.
He developed his sales, management, marketing and operations experience through numerous leadership roles at American Express and at the private equity investment firm The Destination Group, where he was responsible for asset management and business development. At OpenTable since 2002, Mike has a BS from Florida State University and an MBA from NYU.
Joseph keeps kosher, and claims to have eaten at 80% of the kosher restaurants in America.
Joseph is responsible for the development, operation, and growth of our products, driving collaboration and engineering initiatives to ensure that OpenTable’s hardware and software solutions continue to exceed the expectations of diners and restaurants.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry, and has led our team of engineers and technologists since 2012. Prior to joining OpenTable, Joseph was the CTO for eHarmony, the Vice President of Engineering at Yahoo!, and technologist at Overture, Idealab, and tickets.com. He currently serves as a Venture Partner at FirstMark Capital. Joseph studied at Jerusalem College of Technology.
Fascinated by complicated menu items, Natasha loves picking apart the flavors of dishes like a mouthwatering sformato that included wild nettle, quail egg, and morels.
Natasha leads the People & Culture Team, which is focused on attracting, developing and rewarding the talented individuals who make up our organization. She creates the context for driving our vision, mission and values around the world, enabling our colleagues to do great things at OpenTable. Having had great mentors early in her career, Natasha is passionate about developing people.
She is an accomplished Human Resources leader with experience leading change in global organizations. Before joining OpenTable in 2013, Natasha held senior HR roles at Ansell Healthcare, Pfizer, and Johnson and Johnson. She holds degrees from McGill University and Michigan State.
If Jocelyn had to pick a favorite meal, it would be a perfect rib eye steak with a fat glass of red wine.
Jocelyn manages the team responsible for the consumer product experience at Open Table. Since 2005, she has overseen the growth of our consumer products in the US, internationally, and across mobile platforms.
Her experience includes managing a range of consumer products, including CitySearch, where she worked as a local restaurant editor and as a Content Director on the national team. Jocelyn was Director of Content and Product at Ticketmaster, where she helped win the ticketing contract for the 2004 Olympics and deliver the online ticketing services. She received her BA in English from Vanderbilt.
John cannot resist ordering anything on a menu described as “juicy”, and secretly aspires to star on the Food Network.
The leader of the OpenTable legal team, John advises and supports executive and operational management on all legal matters.
John has more than 20 years of in-house and national law firm experience working with high-tech companies, counseling both internal and external clients on corporate, intellectual property, employment, privacy and commercial law issues. John has a BA in Economics from UC Santa Barbara, a JD from the University of San Francisco, and a MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Catherine, a Kentucky native, loves sharing food with family and friends. She is known for serving a meal in which every dish contains bourbon.
Catherine is dedicated to expanding the OpenTable presence worldwide. With OpenTable since 2013, she focuses on new business development and expanding consumer businesses around the world.
Having worked since 2000 with companies and teams in Japan, Asia Pacific, and Europe, much of Catherine's career has focused on international expansion with companies such as LinkedIn, Google, and Oracle. She also spent four years in venture capital. Catherine has a BA in Asian Studies from the University of Virginia.
Ann thinks there is no more perfect cocktail than a margarita (on the rocks with salt), and finds herself unable to resist salmon on a menu.
Ann manages our global marketing team and is responsible for helping OpenTable connect a growing number of diners and restaurants around the world.
Before joining OpenTable in 2004, Ann provided marketing consulting to leading online consumer brands including Amazon, Shutterfly, and Yahoo, and directed consumer marketing at Accept.com and PointCast. Earlier roles included marketing management at Global Village Communication and worldwide product introductions at Apple. Ann holds an undergraduate degree from Duke University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
Mike has eaten dinner at the White House a number of times, but has yet to make an online reservation there.
Based in our London office, Mike oversees OpenTable’s business operations throughout Europe to ensure growth and profitability.
Before taking on this role in 2012, Mike was responsible for product management at OpenTable for 12 years, during which time he managed multiple releases of our restaurant software solutions, the consumer websites, and our mobile portfolio. He has also served in marketing and product development roles at Clorox, and as a captain in the U.S. Air Force. He was a flight commander at the 6931st Electronic Security Squadron in Crete Greece, worked as an intelligence staff officer at the NSA and served as a military social aide at the White House. He earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
