  • "Pao de queijo: "cheezy poofs" with butter and spice honey, the highlight of the meal! 5/5 Rosemary & sage potato chips: so oily they weren't even crispy. inedible. 0/5 Foraged wild mushrooms with creamy polenta: tasty but very rich; I had enough after two bites. 3.5/5 Scallops & bacon with wild mushroom risotto: scallops were delicious, but the risotto was too salty. 3/5 Plancha baby octopus with sausage, quail egg and mojo verde: tender octopus on a skewer, nicely charred, well-seasoned, components went well together. 4/5 fried chicken: our server suggested this as our last dish. nothing special, good seasoning but the chicken was definitely dry. 3/5 Inconsistent food with highs and lows, but great ambiance, service and cocktails."

  • "I made a reservation for me and a friend for night 1 of Dine LA, and to state it simply, all other restaurants on the Dine LA roster will have a lot to live up to. Not only was the Dine LA offering incredibly filling, each and every item brought to the table was simply amazing. From the Brazilian Bread with butter and honey, to the foraged mushroom polenta, to the incredible scallops, each portion was unbelievably more tasty than the one before. Overall, it was one of the best meals I've had to date. I find that South Bay standards are typically sub-par when compared to the rest of LA, but this place does not disappoint. It's up there with Gjelina and Mozza in by book!"

Everything we tasted was fresh, unique and savory and the food was plentiful to share. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys gourmet food. Excellent choice for dinner and we cannot wait to go back!"

  • "We ate here on a Friday night. Very good, creative food and pleasant service. Most dishes are to be shared. Very trendy place which means it can be noisy, but this place is way over the top. Architecture amplifies background noise and they had music playing at a loud level. Result is that you cannot talk to anyone even sitting next to you without shouting. Even the waitress could not hear our order. I have a noise meter on my cell phone and this place registered over 90 db which is actually considered dangerous to your hearing after 2 hours. Do not go here if you value your hearing or if you have any interest in talking to any of your friends. The four of us are never coming back."

  • "Made an 830 reservation, we were not told until after we sat and ordered a drink that the kitchen would be making "last call" at 850. Drink ordering was almost comical; this is a brewery and yet, we couldn't get many if the beers we wanted. How does a brew pub run out of beer? Then we were rushed into ordering dinner at which time, our server started crossing off the items that were no longer available. Needless to say, almost everything we wanted we couldn't get, leaving us to order mostly all fried foods of one sort or another. They were greasy and unappetizing. Definitely not a repeat visit."

  • "Had a great time and it is fun to share with friends. As the evening wore on the noise got louder and louder, and this was on a Tuesday. My understanding is by 10 PM it is really noisy. Food was really good, although not particularly healthful for the most part. Could have had the whole meal off the appetizer menu. The Brazilian cheese rolls were very authentic and delicious. Will go back for sure."

  • "We arrived very early for our reservation, so the hosts gave us a high top table near the bar. This made for an uncomfortable dinner, as we ordered many tapas that came out in stages, and then our server disappeared. The food was delicious, particularly the burrata, Brazilian cheese puffs with honey, asparagus with poached egg, and duck french dip. Then, we waited at least 15 minutes for the dessert menu, which we eventually had to ask our busser to bring, then awhile longer for the check, which we eventually asked a manager for. He brought it and explained she must have gotten distracted with tables in another section, offered a dessert when we told him how long it had been, but we were already full and done with sitting at bar stools."

  • "Overall, going to Abigaile was like having a gourmet Asian-fusion meal in a gastropub setting. The food was absolutely amazing! We had the tempura green beans to start, Lomo Saltado (Steak), tin tin noodles and the best thing was the thai curry shortrib. It had incredible flavor and was super tender. The Simon18 is a great cocktail choice for those whole enjoy a Moscow mule. We were there early, and had very friendly and prompt service (5ish). It was pretty quiet too, but I'm sure it gets loud when it's packed. I can't wait to go back!"

  • "Unique menu and all the dishes we had were tasty. This is a nice place with a low snob coefficient, which makes it pretty unique. I will be back to try more of their menu, probably on a date I'd like to tone down to casual while maintaining a little pizzazz. Try the scallops and the P.I.G. meaty, doughy wrap thingy. Yum!"

  • "We had never heard of the restaurant before, but it was my husband's birthday and we decided to go someplace new. The two of us and another couple went there for dinner on Wednesday night. We loved it! The food was excellent and perfect for sharing. Our waitress did a lovely job at keeping us happy. The interior space was a little loud (hockey game was on tv) so we sat outside - although it was a little chilly outside, the walls and the outdoor heaters kept us comfortable. We look forward to our next visit!"

  • "Place is kind of funky looking and my parents definitely wondered what they were in for, especially since the music & TV was pretty loud (should be toned down a bit for brunch). However, menu is innovative and has a wide range of offerings. Everything we had was really good. The Brazilian cheese puffs served with Maple syrup and butter were awesome. The frittata, the salmon blt and the heirloom tomato salad (could use a few more tomatoes) were all excellent, so was the pain perdu which one of our party had (I didn't taste). Food is surprisingly good and not what you might expect from the decor. Restaurant is also a brewery and has a great selection of beers and a vast wine list. Definitely worth returning to."

  • "I planned a last minute get together for my team and Abigaile was able to get a table for our party of 10 the day of! (a difficult feat in Hermosa) All of the wine and beer was top quality and the food was delightful. We had a little bit of everything on the menu and nothing disappointed. I highly recommend Abigaile for any dinner whether you're entertaining a date or a group. If you really want to impress your guests checkout the website to get the history of this location."

We split the "Pop Tart" (perfection!), the toast with burrata cheese and cherries, and of course the gooey cheese puffs. Great atmosphere - cannot wait to return! "

  • "Been there a bunch of times now. Never had anything I didn't enjoy. This time our party of four shared the famous pao biscuits (X2), kale salad with prosciutto wrapped dates, the salmon BLT, roasted brussels sprouts, brewery burger, and finished with the snicker bar. The Altered State IPAs were very good. Service a tad slow this time, but there were a couple of large parties. Very noisy, like lots of places these days -- makes it a little hard to have conversations. All in all a great place. "

  • "A very open space (hence, 'see and be seen'). Nice patio area which can be reserved for only you and your party. A lot of items to choose from. 5 of us shared many plates; all tasty. Small plates and while not overpriced ~ compared to other similar restaurants ~ some of the plates were a bit scant, for the price point. (Skip the calamari for this very reason.) Staff were all friendly/helpful when talking to them. However service seemed slow, the entire time we were there. Drinks slow to arrive and we were there from 6p - 7:20p. Not peak time! Loud inside and this is fine ~ just don't be expecting quiet. I will return for the tasty food, good-to-great cocktails, and nice vibe."

  • "Abigaile's is hidden from all the HB Pier hustle & bustle. You probably wouldn't find it if you weren't looking for it. But what a treasure! Ocean views, outdoor patio, friendly staff, incredible food & drink. I've been there twice now, once for dinner & now for brunch. At the brunch, it had endless Mimosas...which made for a relaxing, enjoyable time sipping while enjoying the view. We started with pao de queijo, chewy cheesy little bread poofs served with butter topped with fresh rosemary & maple syrup. Then we had the corned beef hash & huevos rancheros...both made with excellent/delicious twists on the recipes. Dinner was just as excellent. Parking is under the building, making it easy to wander and find your car after all the mimosas!"

  • "An unusual place for Mother's Day Brunch, since it is essentially a gastropub, but they have excellent mixed drinks, bottomless mimosas, and interesting menu of dishes. No conventional American breakfast dish to be found here, although they do their version of a McMuffin. I could make a mean of the pao de queijo (cheesy puffs) with maple butter alone. I will be sure to return to test their house-brewed craft beer."

  • "We had a group of 19 girls and I coordinated with Kyle in advance and even sent him my menu. Upon arrival we were seated with less than half our party present which was nice since typically restaurants make you wait for at least half if not the whole party. We were seated on the outdoor covered patio and the heat lamps kept us nice and toasty even though we were in dresses and it was in the 60s. Our amazing server took it from there and paced the courses so incredibly well. It seemed every time we finished a dish a new one came out and we would simply exchange the empty for a new item! She handled our large group effortlessly and it almost felt like we were her only table even though that was not the case. I was very impressed!"
