A word from Abigaile Restaurant
Abigaile is about sharing and exploring food without boundaries, gimmicks or pretense. Our dishes are always evolving based on the availability of quality market ingredients, and often, a creative whim. We believe one of life’s greatest sources of joy is what happens when people come together to share a meal.

So gather. Trust us. Step just a little outside your comfort zone. And enjoy food without order or rules.

Diner Reviews
  • "I picked this restaurant because it was a central point for all the people in our group meeting up and looked like a fun menu, plus it had a valet which my aunt needed. It turned out to be great. We all had a wonderful time. The food was quite good, there were many other dishes that we wanted to try, but didn't have a chance to. The kibbe was delicious as was the massive poutine with lamb. One of the best dishes was the black pepper mussels. And the beer flight was definitely fun. "

  • "We had a variety of dishes (mushroom polenta-creamy and delicious, the brazilian rolls were great, brussel sprouts with goat cheese yummy, beef tenderloins and ahi were delicious) we shared family style and everything was tasty. The mixed drinks were nice and the in house brewed beers were tasty as well. Would definitely go back and might sit on the patio next time around. Very trendy place and nice decor."

  • "Friendly service and good food. Great service that made up for the very rude maitre'd who barely smiled at us and seemed annoyed that we had a reservation - talking under his breath to the hostess before he sat us. Not professional but the dinner ended up being great and we had a good time."

  • "This is my fourth or fifth trip to Abigaile and I've never been disappointed. This time out we started with the Pao biscuits and pho chicken salad. We moved on later to the delicious red curry short rib. Lots of flavor and a little heat, melts in your mouth. We decided to try the scallops done with different mushrooms, bacon, and risotto. Also wonderful, though we thought the risotto / bacon was a little heavy for the scallops. I recommend it anyway. Service is always friendly and they never rush you. Atmosphere is very casual. I recommend ordering things one or two at a time and let your palate wander. Beer list is always good, and they have some interesting cocktails as well. If you haven't been, Abigaile is very much worth a visit."

  • "This was a good find. We made our reservation via Open Table but wanted to eat a little earlier, so the host was kind enough to move some things around for us. My husband got a beer flight and liked 4 out of the 5 beers, which is quite rare since he's a little particular. I liked the tapas concept, we could share everything. Warning: the dishes come out when they come out, not like in a typical restaurant where everything comes out together. Just keep that in mind in case you're really hungry when you get there. The ambiance was quire romantic, a nice date night place. The food was delicious and our server was attentive enough to meet our needs but not intrusive. An all-around great experience. We would definitely go again!"

  • "When dining out I love the pleasure of touching on all the taste buds and Abigaile's delivered. Small plate sharing made this Oh so much fun for the 4 of us. The Mixology from the bar was oh delightful. Something for every palate. So glad I could make a reservation and they seated us right on time. The draw back for me was the noise level. WAY to loud for good conversation."

  • "You MUST eat here! We've only eaten here twice & on our 2nd visit the manager remembered us, welcomed us back, made menu recommendations & then brought us an appetizer on the house! He is amazing & genuinely nice. The waitstaff is awesome, quick & seems to have a real sense of professionalism & team work. Shortly after leaving the restaurant the hostess called to thank us for coming in again! WHO DOES THAT?! It made us feel special, welcomed, valued & we cannot wait to return!! I am hoping to have our anniversary dinner there on 4/19! Oh & i love the parking garage just a few steps away. I've heard amazing things about their Sunday mimosa brunch & will be trying this out ASAP. I am pretty picky so thank you for exceeding my expectations!"

  • "This was a great place to take my coworkers because there was something to accommodate every taste. They were even able to handle the challenge of my gluten-free, dairy-free diet, and everything was delicious."

  • "Food, drinks, ambience (energetic bar/foodie scene) were fantastic. I only have a couple recommendations for future diners. When you make a reservation you should make an extra request for a table away from the bar. The bar was booming for March Madness and there are a row of tables right on top of it. We made a reservation and they still tried to sit us there before we made a fuss about it and were eventually moved to a quieter area. Also, this is a tapas place, so big groups make the experience much better as you are able to try many more dishes."

  • "Ambiance is great, bar selection is fantastic and the food is very good. But the service is very, very slow. We also had to wait 30 minutes for our reserved table. And there was no apologies either. A restaurant of this quality and notoriety should have comped an appetizer or drink or at a minimum said sorry for the long wait."

  • "Deeply disappointed in this place. This was my second time here and they food was not as good. 3 of (4) us ordered the Scallops and Slab Bacon. We couldn't find this so-called slab of bacon in the dish. The risotto was way too rich. Must of been a pound of butter in it. The heirloom tomato & avocado salad was delicious. Wish I had that for my entree instead of the expensive Scallops and slab of bacon. We ordered 3 desserts one being a scoop of gelato. $2.50 for a scoop of gelato??? Geez, would of rethought that order."

  • "I went to Abigaile with a group of girlfriends to celebrate some birthdays and other milestones and it was fantastic! From the very sweet hostesses to our wonderful server Travis to the always friendly manager Greg, everyone makes you feel special. I am in a unique position as I eat a mostly vegan diet however I still enjoy delicious food and want to go to exciting restaurants so I am very lucky that Abigaile has several vegan options! This was not my first trip and most certainly will not be my last. I hope the Abigaile/Little Sister/Dia De Campo family continues to expand in the South Bay!"

  • "Loved this restaurant. Great and innovative beer list. Menu was varied and food was innovative and tasty. My wife (who generally dislikes eating at breweries) also loved it. We stay at Manhattan/Hermosa Beach when visiting our son, and plan to go back."

  • "Came to dinner sun mar 9. Two of us are locals the other two were visiting from Colorado. We started with drinks, our server? (From norther Cali, lived on a chicken farm) was so helpful with both the wine and beer. She helped me choose a beautiful Pinot noir while my friends chose the beer. We were all really happy with our drinks. The food was amazing, we ordered 10 dishes to share, the carrots were the star! Best carrots I've ever had. Really loved all the food. The food came out at a nice pace in the beginning and slowed as the place got busy. I was ok w it, but my friends were hoping for the food a little faster. We also ordered two deserts that were delish, snickers and bread pudding. We will def be back!"

  • "I very much enjoyed my first dinner at Abigaile Restaurant. We particularly liked the scallops with risotto and the meatballs with polenta. The snail poppers had a bit too much dough in relation to snail and I've had better kale salad. But overall the dinner was a success, and I definitely plan to return."

  • "If you like to eat alone, this is the place for you. If you like to share each course with your guests, give the place a try. if you like to dine in restaurants the way that civilized groups people dine, skip it. The beer is great. If you can sit at the bar and drink the in-house brew, you'll be happy you did. If you brave the tables, you're at the mercy of a back-of-house staff that has no concept on when to fire the meals. Waitstaff should get hazard pay for having to deal with the frustrated patients. They're beyond sweet, but no one deserves to represent such incompetence."

  • "The staff rudely discouraged us from eating here due to a private party being set up (even though we had made reservations ahead of time). It would've been nice to receive a courtesy call before making the drive out there. I raved about this place to my BF, and I was so excited to take him here. Needless to say, we didn't end up dining there that night. I do think the food is good, but similar can be found elsewhere. The lack of service is enough to warrant never coming back."

  • "Four of us shared more than a dozen dishes, all of which were, at the least, very good, and some of which were excellent. Outstanding items: Lamb kibbeh - very piquant but delicious; hamachi salad - smallish but subtle and nuanced; big chunk of Thai short rib - hearty, tender and satisfying on a fog-chilled night; tempura green-beans simple but perfect; scallops in a buttery sauce over rice complex and delectable. Server (Mark) and busser (on his first night at the restaurant) were extraordinarily attentive and helpful. We sat on the patio, where the decibel level is much more tolerable than in the main dining room. Really a wonderful place for a casual, interesting dinner with friends."

  • "I made a reservation for my 3rd visit on 2/22 for a late dinner at 10pm. Usually when I book through OpenTable, I receive a call from the restaurant to confirm. Not sure if it was because I booked day-of, but I didn't receive a call. No big deal. I called the restaurant at 8:30 to see if I could come in a bit early, to which she replied that our table was still occupied. I arrived around 9:50, and the hostess said that we can dine, but that people were decorating. What? Then the manager(?) came to the booth he said that there was a private party and it was going to be loud & crowded, with an attitude that rubbed me the wrong way. Dunno why they didn't tell us, esp. since I called earlier. Love the food here, but service is awful."

  • "A tasting menu that was quite varied with interesting dishes. The restaurant was very noisy so unless you are in a small group it is very difficult to have a conversation."

  • "Abigaile had a good atmosphere, but there was one incident that bothered me to the point where I probably won't be going back. My boyfriend and I had ordered the salmon BLT and received the shrimp crustini instead. I'm allergic to shellfish and had a few bites of it. Although I know this was a mistake and the waitress apologized, I feel like something should've been comped for what had happened."

  • "We took my husband here for his birthday last week and had a wonderful time - great service also. The food was extraordinarily delicious and fresh - the burrata appetizer being my absolute favorite (and our foodie friend who was with us agreed it was the best mozzarella she'd ever tasted). They even made a kale salad that was delicious (kale not being the tastiest vegetable in my book at all). We also loved the full bar / full cocktail menu with Moscow Mules served in real copper cups (quite gingery, so not everyone might like this, but I love ginger so it was great)."

  • "Went on Valentines day. Never occurred to me or my date that they would have a special menu, so when we saw it we got a little worried. But Abigaile came through with flying colors. I had the crispy salmon and my date had the jidori chicken. A small apitizer plate came first, which included scallops tartare - which also worried me. But they were fabulous. Main courses were flawless and the small desserts were excellent. Great beers as always. Good wines too. Service always friendly and efficient. Abigaile stands with the best of them. A true favorite."

  • "Food was great. The pig pop tart is always delicious, unfortunately the restaurant was out of it's signature gluten-free cheese biscuits. I'd recommend Abigaile for a casual night out, but if you're trying to have an intimate conversation or a first date - I wouldn't recommend it."

  • "Came here with a friend for her birthday dinner. We wanted to try couple things on the menu and take it home if need be. The calamari was perfect, but the pasta that we ordered (sausage and mushroom pasta) was too salty due to the salty sausage. I ended up just eating the mushroom and the pasta. The pesto and burrata pizza was just mediocre. The only thing I liked about this place was the friendly service. The waiters were great in refilling the water or just checking up on us. Maybe it was the dishes we chose, but hopefully we can go again and try better dishes because the service was amazing."

  • "We have been going to this restaurant since day one for a number of reasons. 1. Great food, perfect portions, lots of options. 2. Great wine list - not too many options, great prices, unique finds. 3. Great service, knowledgeable and helpful staff."

  • "We did the tasting dinner for restaurant week so we got to taste 6 dishes between us plus two desserts and all were good. We saw the hamburgers served to someone else and they looked great too. The restaurant brews their own beers and offers a tasting of five which was also tasty and fun. The servers had great attitude, it was a very nice experience all around."
