Comes back to show us the bottle and disappears again, comes back and hey presto the bottle is open. Do they not open bottles at the table any more? I'm not wine savvy enough to recognize if they switched wines...
Also, we both ordered the bass and they were out, so replaced the fish with snapper. I don't think that the flavour profiles are the same, despite what the server said.
We were there on a Friday night, so the noise level was bordering on intrusively loud. So much food, I could not finish my second course and had to take the dessert to go. Best beet salad ever and the tuna appetizer with the ginger sauce was so good I mopped up the sauce with my bread. Great experience! Greeted with complimentary wine, and were never rushed despite a long lunch. The service was gracious, the lunch menu offered terrific variety and the food exceeded our expectations. Not too noisy, even when crowded (appreciated quiet music). Only complaint: the small tables were a bit close together; we were seated in between two other 2-top tables and could hear everything said by everyone else, even though other tables farther away were open and remained open. They made a ramp "pesto" with pumpkin seeds and som eother magical ingredients that they put on a marvelous toast and added crumbled triple creme goat cheese that was to die for! The suckling pig with smoked bacon marmelade is now permanently embedded into my memory.....Don't think about it. From the friendly and helpful Host/Hostess to the bartenders and the waitstaff the service was great. The food was even better! We wanted to try a few items so they split the entrees for us without even asking and it was little things like this that made us happy. The apps were all amazing, loved the shaved raw fluke, the kale salad, pork belly and salmon! We also shared an amzing rabbit pasta that was incredible. The mgmt and staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I brought my parents to celebrate their 34 wedding anniversary and shared with them the news that I'm pregnant. But the outstanding, flavorful and distinctive food is really the reason to go. At our lunch, we thoroughly enjoyed each item we tasted. We especially enjoyed the mushroom and farro side dish, which the waiter brought to our table courtesy of the chef. The arctic char I ordered may have been the best preparation of a fish dish I ever had. The service was helpful until the restaurant got very crowded, and then it was harder to flag down the waiter to order coffee and get the check.
