Diner Reviews
  • "Loved the lamb burger and the braised ribs. Good wine by the glass list and good draft beer."

  • "Saturday night we were taken to the lower level of Abbey Park. Being old and hard of hearing, it was the perfect spot for us to enjoy our meal without yelling. The food was outstanding. Our four meals were pizza, lamb burger, cod and ravioli. As always, we had no room for dessert and some of the pizza made a trip home. Don't be disappointed when you arrive if the hostess asks you to follow her downstairs."

  • "It was a hopping place by 5:30 on a Friday night. We had reservations and I had requested a booth when I made them online and then again when i got a call that afternoon from the restaurant reminding us of the reservation. However when we got there the 3 booths were already taken...okay but when I noticed a free table in an alcove i was told that had been reserved??? Pretty bad form on the hostess' part I think."

  • "We all thought the food was wonderful and everyone had a great time. This was our first visit to Abby Park and we would definitely go back. The only negative comment is that the place is very noisy and at times, it was difficult to hear others at our own table."

  • "It was Quincy Restaurant Week, and we picked at random. Lucky choice. Food was well-prepared, with generous portions. One friend ordered salmon stir fry. Very innovative and unexpected. The rice was filled, with cashews, water chestnuts, vegetables and spices. The salmon was large, and beautifully grilled. A different take on their Caesar Salad, including white anchovies. They use the best, freshest ingredients. Can't wait to return."

  • "I have been there many times since it opened. My friend and I had the restaurant Week $ 38.00 special dinners. I was disappointed in the Calamari and Shrimp appetizer. I was looking forward it, it's been a great favorite of mine I thiink, since they opened. This time the calamari and shrimp were very scarce and the chopped olives underneath was new to me and I wasn't crazy about that pairing. I wonder if the dish was less generously prepared for the $38. special? The skinny salmon was very good and the desserts were OK (I'm not a big dessert fan)."

  • "Overpriced for mediocre food and mediocre service. It's telling when the best part of your meal is the side salad."

  • "Went here for restaurant week. The girl at the front stared at me as I walked in and didn't acknowledge me. Another host finally saw me and helped me. I ordered filet off the regular menu. It was just okay. Our waitress wasn't all that impressive, but she did her job (when she remembers). Granted that it was busy, she forgot a lot of our requests. Lemon with the coke, coke refill, water refill, etc. We had to ask twice for most of these. The dining area can also be sort of tight. The servers were squeezing by behind us and bumped into my friend multiple times. As I was removing my jacket, I stepped on a server's foot by accident and apologized in which the server just rolled his eyes at me. Overall, I was not impressed with the staff."

  • "I've been here 5 times, ordered take-out a few times, and always been happy with everything except for this night. The food was lacking, and service was not great. We were missing silverware and had to flag someone down twice for it. Empty waters throughout dinner even after requesting it. I know it was restaurant week, which I opted out of, but I think it's really important that restaurants do not take on more than they can handle, and sacrifice "regular" customers. That being said, I will absolutely be back because as I mentioned, I have been a very happy customer every other time."

  • "Enjoyed the outing. Would eat here again. Our calamari and shrimp appetizer was excellent."

  • "Food was amazing. I had the scallops with lobster risotto and avocado, absolutely delicious. My friend had the short ribs and said they were melt in your mouth. Service was great and the atmosphere was really nice. Would definitely recommend."

  • "I came back to celebrate my birthday. It was on a St.Patrick's day. The waiter seems to be the one and only in the restaurant. As I sat down, my friend and I ordered the appetizers and entree. 10 minutes later, we have our first course on the table. I realized my table is the only table never got any dinner bread, so we asked the server to grab us some. He came back with the bread on a sharing plate where everyone have their breads on a basket with dinning towel covered. After all, we just kept quite and wait for the entree to come. Once I finished the appetizers. I moved this big plate for the beets salad aside and put my knife and fork in side so the waiter know it is ready to be removed. Instead, it sat there for the rest of the dinner."

  • "FOH staff could use better training by management. Hostess was chewing something at the stand. Server and runner were friendly and effective, but they seemed new to their roles and the service could use more finesse. Downstairs where bathroom was located could use some attention; floor is heavily marred by scratches and I found linen service tickets on the floor. Food was very nicely done. We had the Restaurant Week menu. Shrimp and calamari were lightly fried and accompanied well by pickled peppers. Salmon and chicken saltimbocca entrees were excellent; Guinness-braised short rib was good. Macarons were delicate and delicious. I would return and would recommend it to a friend, as it is very good for its location/market."

  • "We had several appetizers and a pizza and they were all very good. I would particularly recommend the crab cake. It is one very large cake that could be a ight entree."

  • "We were a party of four and were seated within ten minutes, which was surprising since it was a busy Saturday night. Our waitress was outstanding, explaining specials and recommending wine and appetizers. They are happy to split items and don't make the slightest fuss about substitutions. My friend and I got the seafood specials (she got snapper and I the halibut). Both were so delicious! Her husband got Seafood fra diavolo which he loved. My husband got chicken saltimbocca. My husbands chicken was really dry so the waitress immediately offered him something else . He got a burger and it was amazing! when we got the bill they not only took off the chicken, but also the burger since he fad to wait! Love this place!"

  • "Went to Abby Park on Saturday night with some friends We got there a little earlier than our reservation to have drink at bar. Very vibrant bar scene. Our waitress was wonderful, I wish I remembered her name. We all got something a little different and everyone was very pleased with their orders. Fun place, would definately recomend going there! Will be back"

  • "Service was great. Very friendly and attentive. Appetizer was good, tuna tartare. Fish tasted fresh. Main entree was just ok. Tasted very processed. Ordered the meat loaf. Came out as two slices that resembled two very thin pieces of toast. Both in size and thickness. Meat loaf was so thin that it was over taken by the salty gravy. Mashed potatoes had no flavor at all. No hint of butter, cheese, salt, nothing. Tasted as it was previously frozen. Meat loaf should be meaty, hardy and have substance to it. It's a comfort food and should be served as such. I've been to many establishments that serve it like a mini football. Thick, with flavor and substance to it."

  • "Good selection of tasty entrees with complimentary sides made to create a sumptuous plate. Decent wine selection but on the pricey side for what it was. Dessert was simple and yummy. Weird that the waitstaff cleared all utensils after our shared app, leaving us drooling over entrees for a bit."

  • "We have asked the chef to please change the menu, most of the selections have been on it from day one They used to have delicious mini deserts and did away with them, their desert menu is also tired. If you want people to come back you should listen to the customers. We stay faithful to ABBY PARK."

  • "Abby Park was decorated in the spirit of St. Valentine tastefully! The setting in the downstairs room was intimate but the tables were placed too close together. It was difficult for the waitress to hear our order or for us to have a conversation. However the app's and both meals were terrific. We would definitely refer friends and family as well as visiting again ourselves to try sitting up stairs at the bar. Overall great experience"

  • "My wife and I tried this place in a whim and we're pleasantly surprised. The staff were great and food was very good. I had scallops and my wife had goji vegan. Jazz trio was playing and the atmosphere was vibrant and energetic. Good for kids to. Will definitely go there again."

  • "waitress was not good… she barely came to the table… didn't bring bread… when she did come, it was right when i food was brought over, i had my first bite with food in my mouth and my boyfriend hadn't even cut into his steak yet and she asks how our food is! I said good, but honestly, i hadn't even really finished my bite to tell, and my boyfriend hadn't even had bite yet! Waitress serving table next to us was great! The portions are huge!"

  • "Surprised there are so many glowing reviews. First tip off:the bread. It was stall. I will never understand a restaursnt that doesn't invest in good bread. Cocktail and wine were very good. Cesar salad was very mediocre. Dinner was just okay. I would not consider this a gem or fit for foodies. We went on valentine's day thinking it would be special. Place was packed. Waitress was lovely but food wasn't special. I don't think we'll go back."

  • "My husband and I came to Abby Park for Valentines Day dinner. They had a special menu, which had nice options. Food and service was good. Only kind of weird thing was how fast it all went - within 20 min of sitting down we already had our appetizer and entree served. We felt a little rushed, like they were trying to turn the tables over as quickly as possible. Would definitely give it another try."

  • "I like Abbey Park, but unfortunately we had to eat dinner in the lower level. The lower level is definitely subpar, not decorative, and you feel like you are in a basement. If we had eaten in the top level, my rating would have been COMPLETELY different. Food was good though. Our waitress seemed annoyed with her customers and her job, so it made our experience even worse. We went on Valentines day and it was decorated poorly and looked gaudy."

  • "My bf & I went here with another couple. We had a great time. Our server was super friendly & attentive, as well as witty. There was a few things that they had run out of on the menu that night, & he had no problem having us choose something else & had the chef make that instead. It had an awesome ambiance & was really nice for a date. The food was fantastic. We cant wait to go back !"

  • "Abby park is a 5 min drive from my house and we have been there many times, the menu is modern American cuisine and always very tasty, my only problem with this place is when we were there on Sunday it was freezing cold and felt like the heat was not even turned on and if you get seated by the window you will need to wear your winter coat for the whole meal ! Other than that I love this place !"

  • "Made a reservation for Friday dinner at Abbey Park for my sweetie and I.We arrived on time, promptly seated in a great booth. Server came over in minutes, took our drink order and brought fresh bread. In no time, drinks arrived and we placed our order, scallops and braised short ribs. They were served between 10 and 15 minutes, nice plating and just right warmth. Scallops were tender and done just right,(best in a long time) served on lobster risotto.Braised short ribs in a Guinness sauce could be split with a fork, no knife needed. Very tasty and served with garlic mashed.Great dinner and will visit again."

  • "Last year my friends and I went for dinner; the waitress was completely inattentive and rude, and I swore I would never go back. This weekend I decided to try it again since it was a half way meeting point for my husband and me along with another couple. Even though we had a reservation we waited 20 minutes, the waitress (who was different from last year) was again horrible. She walked away while my husband was trying to order a glass of wine, she was rude, and again the overall experience was negative."
