Food was lacking in taste & salt, definitely not worth the price! We had a bacon & spinach salad that was severely underdressed w/ little flavor & bacon tasted like it had been stale/reheated. French onion soup was nothing special plus lacked substance. The buttermilk boneless fried chicken with "potato purée" that was basically dry mashed potatoes (NOT a purée, dry & no flavor), overcooked chicken which lacked salt & was so fatty in spots it was unedible (boneless meat should be trimmed properly!) & spinach that was not seasoned well. For $14, the signature drinks were so weak & not worth the price. And it was difficult to get the waitresses attention to refill our waters when she was texting openly in the dining room! Poor service!

First time at this restaurant in the theater district. My overall impression is somewhat unfavorable, since it was so very LOUD inside, with voices shouting, bar noise, and serving noise. Perhaps the type of location/clients had something to do with it. Great location on Tremont Street, across from the Wang Center/Citi Arts. The food was good, not great, with adequate portions. I ordered the Kobe Sliders and my friend ordered a salad with steak tips added. Both of the meats were greasy-tasting, not juicy. Restrooms down a long flight of stairs, a little difficult to find.

I brought a friend from out of town to Abby Lane recently for dinner. I was looking for a place where the food is exciting and even traditional favorites are reinvented. after several oysters from the James River in Virginia my friend had the shrimp and grits and I had the New York steak. Both meals were made just as we asked. My friend who spent many years living down south was pleased at the quality of the meal. I also enjoyed preparation of my steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The service was perfect, our waiter named Skyler was attentive and helpful.

My husband and I were looking for a great place for dinner on our one night in boston, great reviews and a recommendation bout us to Abby lane. I have to say it was an utter dissapointment. The kids meals were ok but our dinners were terrible. Do not order the lemon soaked chicken unless you are a fan of overcooked, soggy skinned chicken....yuck. I won't even go into the story about trying to get seated even though we had a reservation...

My mother and I ventured to Abby Lane by chance before Blue Man Group and we were pleasantly surprised. We received lovely service, fantastic food, and a nice atmosphere. They allowed me to put a veggie burger into their chicken sandwich, which was a great meal for vegetarians. We would recommend this place to anyone.

The location directly across from the Wang Center is very convenient. The drinks and food were OK but not special, and the prices were somewhat high for the type of food. It's good to see burrata on the menu. The French fries were surprisingly good. The service was pleasant, but one side dish never arrived. Given the location and the availability of drinks, this could be part of a nice evening if you know what to expect.

We went here cause we wanted to support MA restaurant plus we saw Jason Santos on Beat Bobby Flay. We want to try out chef Santos cooking and was very disappointed due to the lack of salt and pepper the very basic seasoning. Thus is why we know and understand Chef Santos lost on the show. There is on salt and pepper plus no layer of flavors in the dish. The Chinese BBQ Ribs and Roasted 1/2 Chicken was cooking perfectly where it's moist again lack of flavors.

I found Abby Lane recommended through the Blue Mans Group website. After reviewing their menu I knew it would be suitable for both my Wife and I. Plus it proximity to theater and parking was a plus. The atmosphere was great for adults going to the theater or meeting up after work. They had the front doors/windows open which was great. There menu was familiar food with a fresh twist. We had the Root Beer chicken wing, Lobster Mac and Cheese, Buffalo shrimp sandwich and Truffle cheeseburger. The food was delicious and the service was great our reservation was for 515 we had issues with traffic they were very accomadating . Matt was great, attentive and friendly. We would drive to Boston again just to eat there.

My wife and I had stopped into Abby Lane a few months ago without a reservation and had to sit at a table I would describe as a cocktail table. This time we had reservations and were seated at the same type table. I feel that we should have been seated at a normal dinner table as there were several that appeared empty or told when we made our reservations that all the normal tables were booked.

I had requested we get a window seat with a view in my reservation and they definitely delivered. Due to Boston traffic, we were running a couple minutes behind but I called and they were very polite in letting me know it would be ok. Food was awesome and our server was fun. The upstairs bar setting was relaxing and had a great modern feel with a view looking out onto Tremont street. Overall great experience.

I went there for lunch with some friends - the restaurant was empty (i.e., no need for reservations), but we all enjoyed the quality of food, the timeliness, and the overall price of the meal. We all ordered one of the variety of burgers - and I ordered the onion rings instead of the fries - excellent choice! The seating arrangement was comfortable, but tight - a little too close for a casual lunch, especially when there was plenty of seating available. Otherwise, it was all good and would go there again.

We really enjoyed our meal at Abby Lane. The only weird thing was the chef/owner was there and the restaurant was empty but he was "too busy" to come and say hello to us - even though he was sitting at the bar. It seemed so rude. Food was excellent though with the lobster mac & cheese being our favorite. So rich and hearty - lobster cooked perfectly. Clam chowder was excellent; bacon burger was cooked as ordered and came with loads of pickles as requested. Fried clams on clam roll were cooked so they were not dry - they were still juicy and moist. Cocktails were good - a nice beer selection to choose from. Our server did what was necessary and was efficient but not particularly welcoming or friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Abby Lane provides well-executed pub fare with friendly service. Although they were disorganized the last time we went there and it took 15 minutes to get a server, they did great after that. Apparently there was confusion among the staff. They are fast and it is a great location for Wang or Wilbur Theatre events. Good value, too.

Abby lane is a great place for brunch. One complaint, I had a soda and just wanted some ice to finish it up. It was hot on saturday and I had stopped along the way to get a drink. Our server said that according to the Board of health, no outside drinks so she refused to give me a glass with ice. Seriously, I used to waitress and some customers brought in food from other places. I could see if I had a bottle of vodka but really a diet pepsi. So the soda I would have bought for 2 bucks would have really made a difference in their profits. SMH

Can't find anything I didn't love about Abby Lane. Food was amazing. Service was perfect. Menu had more adventurous options (for me), classic stuff (for my wife) and a solid kids menu (for my daughter.) Manager came over to table to check on us--such a little notion that means a lot. It's DIRECTLY across the street from the Wang Center so you really feel like Abby Lane is part of the whole theatre experience. Highly recommended.

Meat and cheese board was completely disjunct. Shrimp and grits were mediocre and not southern, burger ordered medium was not only well done but charred. Alerted server to sticky blob on menu, she thanked us walked away, closed the menu and put it back with the other menus. Cocktails are creative but not well executed.

I had high expectations for this place as it was probably the best place to grab a bite before our show at the Wilbur. The menu looked promising and the prices were really reasonable. The food was ok...good but not great. Our waiter never asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We had to ask. You would think that's the first thing they'd ask when we got seated. He was a bit off his game....even though we had two hours before the show, we really didn't expect him to take the full two hours to serve us. We had to ask for the check because he let our dessert sit on the line for about 7-8 minutes. He was hanging out at the bar, chatting it up while we were staring at our dishes. We could have had a perfect night if it wasn't for him.

Abby Lane has a terrific location in the theater district - right across from the Wang and next to the Shubert. I ordered the monkfish, which really wasn't very good. My friends had sandwiches, which seemed to be better. Overall I'd rate this as convenient for going to the theater, but not a place to go out of your way for.
