Small but inventive menu. Food was great and service too. Came before the Theater on a Tuesday night. We dined early so it was very slow when we got there but almost full by the time we left. The tuna appetizer was wonderful, I had the tips and my husband had the fried chicken--both really good! Apple tart and cappicuino also wonderful. This is right in the heart of the theater district and convenient as well as delicious. We will be back!

Jason's Signature Boneless Buttermilk Fried Chicken with homemade doughnuts, yes, DOUGHNUTS is a great dish as is the S'Mores dessert. Abby Lane also offers a good array of innovative apps, burgers and options for those looking for something just as tasty, but perhaps a bit more on the healthy side...

perfect for quick eats before a show. Food was average to above average depending on the dish. Fish tacos were average. Like a Burger King chicken tender as the base. Kobe beef sliders were very good. Wines and beers were very good from a good selection.

Abby Lane is a great find for before or after a theatre or concert. The food was great and service attentive. Recommend a reservation. The hummus as an appetizer was to die for. I also ordered the exotic Vietnamese Lamb sandwich, delicious. My husband went for the classic hamburger, cooked to his perfection. Highly recommend.

Went for the first time. The Specialty drink menu was great. Lot's of different selections to choose from. The menu was quality. But wished there were more Entree selections. The appetizer and salad sections were great, but I think the Burger and pizza selections, took away from more entree options. All in all a great place to dine and socialize.

I really enjoyed my dinner here. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. Cocktail prices were a little high, but wine bottle and beer prices were very reasonable. The interior design was contemporary and comfortable. It was a little loud as the dining and bar areas were completely filled. You can't beat is location as it's in the theater district and so close to a number of hotels and Boston Common.

The location is perfect if you are going to the theater. The food was much better than expected. The service not bad, busy & as timing was an issue we had to keep an eye on things. We arrived at 5PMon on a weekday so it was relatively quiet. It is a hard surface energetic bar-scene type of place, by the time we left at 6:30 the place was packed and noise level above comfort. Our entries were delicious, the salad was just some rather wilted greens, the dessert was good, & we were glad that we shared as it was huge! For it's location & food quality I'll go again, but the earlier the better if you don't like crowds & high level noise. Also a Plus is that with theater tickets you receive a 15% discount on food, not wine.

We were surprised when seated that upstairs has few real tables. Our table was our lap! Upstairs is a huge area, surely they can work in a few tables for larger, older parties. Being so close to The Wang, this can't be the first they heard of this comment. Food was good, the French fries amazing and service was wonderful, the servers obviously used to being asked for real tables. As good as the food was, I would only recommend this restaurant to young people.

Made 6:45 reservations for pre show dining--8 PM at Wang Theater directly across street. Arrived a bit early but no problem, seated immed. in upstairs dining area, which was great as it was a bit noisy downstairs. Lovely space w/many seating options incldng small couches & chairs--fire place wall adds to atmosphere though not needed on a mild eve as it was. Service was prompt & attentive although 1 entree of 4 was a few min. later than others--no biggie. Shared BBQ shrimp apps. that came w/crostini to sop up sauce. Not your typical BBQ either--a smokey, grilled flavor that was delicious. 2 burgers, 1 wing order, & my shrimp pita (open face Greek salad on pita w/grilled shrimp, YUM!) All around great dining exp. to come back to again!

Kobe sliders were reccomended and did not disappoint! Amazing! The butternut squash purée also amazing! Otherwise food was not that special. Menu was more of a lung menu than dinner with lots of sandwiches and pizza. Would be a good place for apps and drinks after a show but not for a romantic dinner. Apps range in price from 6-12 dollars. Sandwiches were12-15 dollars. Entrees were very limited! This is where I say that this restaurant caters to the after show drinks and appetizers. Service was extremely slow (and it wasn't busy). We never got our appetizer before our meal. Waitress was friendly though. Overall, not the best Boston has to offer and I left feeling disappointed.

This was my first time at Abby Lane and I really enjoyed it. We had a party of 6 that didn't all arrive at the same time but there was no problem with half of us sitting down to have drinks and apps while we waited for the rest of our group. The fried pickles were delicious as well as the complimentary chips they gave us. Everything we ordered for dinner was also very good, and just a little bit different than the usual. I will definitely be back.

My husband took me here for my second date on my 25th Anniversary. I loved it so much, saw people I already knew and the band was my speed. New- Jack, R &B, with lots of Soul. We met a couple of people from out of State they were great and the atmosphere encouraged happiness. I then came back several weeks later which was this 10/1 dae to see if I would get the same vibe and, I did. What a great place. This is a hot spot, and a place that I plan on bringing some more friends...and the name is cool too...ABBY LANE!

The kitchen was very slow, we were at the restaurant early and not many patrons were there. My spaghetti&meatballs(especially the meatballs) were cold. My wife ordered a flat bread pizza w/ goat cheese and when she began to eat a slice there was regular cheese under the other toppings (onions, arugula). My wife has a cheese allergy and fortunately she only ate a partial slice before she realized other cheese besides goat cheese was in the pizza. We have been to many restaurants and my wife has ordered goat cheese flat breads before and NEVER has it been combined with other cheeses. This would be helpful to cite on the menu for people who have allergies. One positive note our waiter (Sky) was excellent & our bill was adjusted.

A friend and I were looking for a restaurant in the theater district. We were going to see the Lion King at the Opera House. Your menu selection had the type of food we were looking for pre theater dinner. Having made the reservation was the best thing that we did. The wait time was at 45 minutes but with reservation we were seated within minutes. The food was delicious and the portion was plentiful. The wait staff pleasant and asked if we needed anything more, and would check in with us periodically. We found the restaurant within a 5 minute walk to and from the Opera House. The restaurant was clean and the staff was attentive, with the food delicious. We plan on going back the next time we are in Boston for a play.

Overall Abby Lane was good, but I found it to be VERY loud and unorganized when we arrived. The menu is average, but again nothing outstanding. We had the Fried Chicken and Spaghetti and Meatballs, both meals had decent taste and flavor I liked how the Spaghetti had a EVOO and Pesto drizzled over the red sauce. The drinks are good an service was good, they did seem a little overwhelmed most of the time we were there. It could of been an off night so I would try it again and maybe ask if they had some where to sit that wasn't so loud and the tables on top of each other.

Located in the heart of the Boston theater district, it was a perfect choice for our before show dinner. Located directly across the street from our venue made for a comfortable meal. Menu has a little bit of everything, appetizers and small plates, salads, sandwiches, burgers and a nice listing of entrees. Our group tried the boneless country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and doughnuts, Chilean Sea Bass on a bed of spinach and swordfish. Delicious food, nice wine.

Abby Lane had been recommended to us, and we were delighted with our experience. It has a modern vibe with attentive service. Out waitress gave us good guidance on what to order - a wonderful salad, fig and mozarella flatbread pizza with no room for dessert after enjoying the homemade chips with house made dip before our meal. We enjoyed being able to view the busy kitchen, too! We hope to return on our next trip to the Theater District.

Food was lacking in taste & salt, definitely not worth the price! We had a bacon & spinach salad that was severely underdressed w/ little flavor & bacon tasted like it had been stale/reheated. French onion soup was nothing special plus lacked substance. The buttermilk boneless fried chicken with "potato purée" that was basically dry mashed potatoes (NOT a purée, dry & no flavor), overcooked chicken which lacked salt & was so fatty in spots it was unedible (boneless meat should be trimmed properly!) & spinach that was not seasoned well. For $14, the signature drinks were so weak & not worth the price. And it was difficult to get the waitresses attention to refill our waters when she was texting openly in the dining room! Poor service!

First time at this restaurant in the theater district. My overall impression is somewhat unfavorable, since it was so very LOUD inside, with voices shouting, bar noise, and serving noise. Perhaps the type of location/clients had something to do with it. Great location on Tremont Street, across from the Wang Center/Citi Arts. The food was good, not great, with adequate portions. I ordered the Kobe Sliders and my friend ordered a salad with steak tips added. Both of the meats were greasy-tasting, not juicy. Restrooms down a long flight of stairs, a little difficult to find.
