Abattoirgets better with repeat visitsMy wife and I have been to Abattoir several times. Each time the staff was friendly, the food excellent, and the ambiance good.
My wife is a vegetarian, and of all the "fine dining" restaurants we have been to in the Atl, Abattoir, (ironically), has the best choices for her. I love the whimsey of the menu. The mixed mushrooms over bread was the highlight of my meal, and My wife was head over heels for the beet salad.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGlad I found youReally enjoyed this place. I've only been there twice, but discovered different things both times . I look forward to my next trip so I can try something new again . My new favorite spot.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial in Every WayWe came for my husband's 60th birthday and the staff knew that. They congratulated him and touched off the dinner with a custom dessert. (No tacky clapping and singing, just a nice understated welcoming touch) The three piece lamb entree was spectacular. The brussel sprouts and mac and cheese sides were awesome too. Wine list very nice and very fair pricing. Looking more like we will be back in 60 days!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic Food! This wasFantastic Food! Food was amazing at every course, and moderately priced, too.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was amazing. My onlyFood was amazing. My only call out is that on the menu online, they list a cowboy ribeye, so we went there as that is what my husband specifically wanted. When we got to the restaurant, they now had it listed as a ribeye for two. Luckily, the chef accommodated and was able to cut a smaller ribeye at 35 oz.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful and delicious!!!Beautiful and delicious!!! The food quality is always superior and the service a pleasure. We have yet to have a mouthful of anything we haven't loved! We will continue being huge fans of this restaurant and look forward to the introduction of the spring and summer seasonal items as the weather gets warmer.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food without the hypeWe arrived Saturday night with reservations at 8:45 PM. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was not crowed as many of the west midtown restaurants usually are. We were shown to a great table against the wall. The service was excellent and the server took extra measures to certain that we were satisfied. The food was wonderful as was the selection of drinks. It was nice to have a fabulous dinner without all the hustle and bustle that has become Atlanta’s dining scene. We will return!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful!!Food was awesome. All the flavors complemented each other. Steaks were perfect. Cocktails delicious. I would highly recommend to anyone!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a really great firstWe had a really great first meal at Abattoir! Our server Ron was perfect- attentive and friendly, a great guide to the menu. We tried and shared several things- some favorites being the brussel sprouts, the Korean jerky and the fries with pimento foam. Cocktails were great, wine list was not overwhelming and prices were reasonable- in fact- I was worried after hearing how "pricey" Abbatoir is, but we were impressed at how low our check was for the quality of food we had- unlike a recent dinner at the close by overrated Optimist, when we left feeling ripped off and confused by all the hype. I will definitely be going back to Abattoir, and looking forward to it!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and the service wereThe food and the service were excellent. We enjoyed a nice leisurely dinner with attentive service.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible food and service!Evening with an old friend who hadn't been to Abattoir in a while. We were both impressed with Ron's expert service, and with both taste and presentation of our appetizers, the wine, and the meal. Niman ranch pork chop was the best I've ever tasted!
