ABA Turkish RestaurantBefore Lincoln Center JazzWe were stuck in traffic, called, & management was very accommodating. The food was good ^ we would go there again.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWHAT A GREAT FINDNeeded to find a place near the Hudson Hotel and came across ABA on OpenTable. The food was delicious the service a little sporadic but they were so nice to let us linger over conversation...I would make it a point to go back. And don't forget to BYOB.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AM“BYOB, and succulent Turkish flavorABA at 325 West 57th St. is a Turkish gem and a real bargain in the pricey food mecca of mid-town! Unpretentious and unassuming, and just like your family home table! The eggplant salad is heavy on smoke with just the right amount of garlic, and a hint of red pepper flake. The Turkish meatballs prepared with lamb and beef (“Kofte”) and six are way too much for one person! Easily shared for 4. The lamb shish kebab was also a generous portion. Be forewarned that there is no wine list. The wine shop is across the street and ABA does not charge a corkage fee, so BYOB with pride and no wine snob will bother you!
Dinner for two was a whopping $68 on 57th Street in NYC, that has to be a world record!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat find !This was a great evening! The food was delicious ( real authentic turkish food - and we have been to Turkey a few times), the hostess very efficient and the fact that it is BYOB make this restaurant pleaseantly affordable ! We will go back.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMnice friendly restaurant.nice friendly restaurant. Staff is helpful and food is good.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, large portions, not $I love this place, it's definitely one of my "go-to" restaurants in my neighborhood. I didn't give it 5 stars b/c it's a more casual place. The portions are large and the food is delicious and it's not expensive. Their bread is FRESH, the best part. Their grilled chicken kebab is always good too. I get delivery, but I like dining there b/c it has a very authentic feel. The service is very good too. Highly recommend!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were looking for a restaurantWe were looking for a restaurant near the Alvin Ailey Theatre and found ABA in OpenTable. We were not expecting anything special and were pleasantly surprised to find out how good it is. The stuffed grape leaves we had as an appetizer were probably the best we've had in years. We followed the waitress's recommendations for specials and enjoyed them both (lamb shank and filet mignon with Turkish spices). It's BYOB since they don't have a liquor license - that reduces the cost. We'd highly recommend ABA Turkish.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA Saturday Night Out with FlairYour restaurant had a very lively, energetic atmosphere, with attentive service.
