A Voce continues to demonstrate a consistent ability to deliver great food, fine wine and fabulous service. We had a variety of starters which were all fabulous but everyone agreed on the duck ragu as the main fare - it was simply divine. I always enjoy reviewing A Voce's extensive wine list and selected a bottle of brunello (with a little help from the Sommelier) that did not disappoint. It's great to know that such a quality restaurant continues to shine.

When you dine at A Voce you pay for the package - the fine food, attentive service, and the view of Columbus Circle onto Central Park. The chef has a fine touch using the freshest ingredients. Nothing overpowering. Everything in balance. All the way from appetizers through dessert. Warning to hungry eaters - portions are small, so if you order a la carte, it can add up. Best deal is the Prix Fixe lunch which is a real value and a great way to experience A Voce.

We had a good dinner at A Voce. While the food was very good, the ambiance was just OK as teh acoustics in this place are "nuts". even when two people sitting at a small table in proximity can barely have a conversation. Everybody was screaming as it was the only way to communicate... really a pity as otherwise the food was delightful and wine selection is excellent.

I had asked for a table by the window and we were given the best table in the house. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were made to feel like regulars (we are not) with that perfect sophisticated Italian charm. Our meals were delicious and the wine was very good.

This was my 5th time at A Voce Columbus and it consistently delivers great food, friendly service and a postcard view like few NYC restaurants can afford; I ordered the Bronzino, Mediterranean sea bass with broussel sprouts which were in season. Beautifully presented and delicious. The views at lunch time of Central Park on that late fall day were incredibly..a live postcard.

In the shadow of several of New York city's premier high end restaurants; Per Se, Masa, etc., the place for an Italian restaurant that is more in reach of the diner looking for a nice night out at Time Warner would seem to be a must. Unfortunately this is not it. With a wine list that screams out wow take notice, the restaurant has no place on your list "eat me". The food was dull the service was sporadic and at the end everyone walked away unsatisfied. For whatever reason all of us prior to arrival knew we were meeting for dinner in the time warner for dinner but kept forgetting the name of the restaurant. We all forgot about the meal on leaving.

A Voce is our ritual choice for Sunday Brunch when we visit New York (about six times a year). The menu is always pleasantly creative. The wine list is so extensive, it is almost overwhelming. The cocktail menu is a delifht. The atmosphere is first-rate and the views are superb. The staff is efficient and friendly.

we made a late booking a Voce, the restaurant was full and busy. The noise level was unbelievable even sitting next to each other we had to shout to be heard. I can not understand how restaurant designers don't understand anything about acoustics if all you have are hard surfaces there is nothing absorb sound, the result was by the end of our meal we felt our ears were bleeding. To top this off the service was slow ,poor and perfunctory and the food was slow to be delivered, barely warm and not great quality. We will not return.

  • Please back off on the up-sell!

    Dined on 11/4/2014
I've eaten here many times and have always enjoyed it with the exception of the aggressive up-selling. Let me start by saying they have the best wine list in NYC & the food is excellent. I do enjoy that they will recommend a wine for the night and it's usually a superb choice. But that's where it needs to stop. One of the things that I despise about the American restaurant scene is the constant interrupting by the wait staff. Of late, A Voce is getting worse and worse and the other night, they were just intrusive. Several times during our meal, they approached our table and interrupted conversation (apologizing for doing so doesn't make it any less obnoxious) to try and up-sell us. Please stop. Just stop and let us enjoy our meal.

The food goes without saying for this great spot in the Time Warner Center. Beyond this, we had a great table overlooking the circle on a bright sunny day. The best part was that the restaurant seating was not jammed together making it far more usable for a business lunch that other spots where you're right on top of each other. And the noise level was fairly quiet, so we could have a meaningful conversation without din.

We were a party of 6 and we waited 40 minutes for an 8:00 reservation on a Saturday nite. The host was extremely obnoxious & unapologetic. The wine list was excellent. Food was good but teeny tiny portions. My husband was hungry after dinner. Nothing special there. Would not go back. Way too many restaurants in NYC that are better.

Pancetta was too dry, needs sauce and its a lot smaller than it used to be i prefer old menu even tho i understand a change is needed. Pasta was a bit too chewy that night could be cooked a little longer and the panna cotta is too creamy in a way where it could be lighter texture even tho its a custard it was heavy

In a city where most great restaurants have a great (large) price attached, A Voce is a breath of fresh air. It was my fiancee's 30th birthday and on a special night we wanted a great experience. With all of our drinks and 3 courses for two of us, the cheque came to just under $300. Of course, at a normal restaurant this is quite expensive, but when the quality of food is this high, the service is this personal and professional, and the vibe is so great, it's well worth the price tag. Overall, A Voce Columbus is an experience not to miss, and if Travis is your waiter, say hi for me.

I've been at least ten times, and in the past, service was lacking but now, they got the service down pat. A Voce is one of my favorite restaurants on the UWS. I like to take colleagues and clients here for swanky lunches, after work drinks and dinner. Each time I have ordered the chicken mattone, it has been perfect--crispy, nicely browned skin and tender, juicy meat. Last night, I think the plate may have sat too long so that when it was delivered to the table, the skin was soggy. I kind of overlooked this, since it's nearly perfect all the other times, but this particular night, I sold my colleague on the chicken and i'm not sure she thought it was "all that." Will try again soon! Thank you.

We have dined there several times both for lunch and dinner. The service and food have been outstanding on every occasion. The food is outstanding Italian food, not heavily reliant on pasta and garlic as one often finds, but carefully and tastefully prepared. We have eaten the branzini and the salmon several times; they have always been excellent and prepared to individual cooking requests. Side dishes such as fried zucchini are outstanding. There is a good family atmosphere with children, yet not raucous or excessively loud, generally quiet. Outstanding view across Columbus Circle to Central Park.
