A Tavolaabove expectationthis chef knows how to cook and present. flawless food with a creative flair that just flat out works. you will not be disappointed with any of the entree selections. hidden gem for sure. all pasta made in house, how can you go wrong?6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAuthentic Love of FoodAlways have a good experiences at A Tavola. The chef-owner Vittorio's love of food, attention to detail shine. Staff reflects similar dedication, joy and pride. Pasta dishes span a variety of styles and ingredients. I prefer a quieter dining experience, so appreciate the sound-absorbing ceiling fixtures that blend in the decor. Window seats particularly charming, with views of the quaint brick building across street, and the calm street scene. Great selections of wines. Wines "by the glass" are served in small carafes, along with nice stemware. I don't know of another restaurant in the Winchester-Arlington area that comes close. Local ingredients, including produce from Wright-Locke farm.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA TavolaVery good home cooked Italian food. I'mThe food was amazing. I'm a fan of the owners other restaurant, Bistro 5, and A Tavola continues the allure. I do think the proscuitto tapas are too expensive for what you get but there are plenty of other items to select. The homemade ricotta was delicious. We smeared it on the bread given at each table. I could make a meal of that alone as it was so good. We ordered 2 half orders of pasta (malfalde with pesto and rigatoni with bolognese) along wih an order of the roasted chicken and we shared all the entrees. Everything was phenomenal, delectable, and scrumptious. I can't wait to go back again.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMMy new favorite!!I have been day dreaming about my pasta dish since Sat nite....it is now Tues. It was our first time visit to this fabulous local gem, and what a find! We shared an app of sauteed mussels that was cooked in a delicious broth of tomato, ginger, & sage. My husband devoured his rigatoni bolognese, while I savored each bite of my bucatini (hollow spaghetti w/ all sorts of seafood). I had never tasted a more delicious home-made pasta. We shared a bottle of Montepulciano & finished with chocolate ganache.
We sat at the chef's table & enjoyed the experience thoroughly. It was a lot of team work in the servicing department & very efficient. Staff was warm & friendly. Thanks so much!! We just loved our experience!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat night out from the kids. The food was great! We had the oysters fresh flavorful and the chic pea app was paired perfectly with the slightly slated toasts. The decor made the restaurant feel warm and inviting, we both enjoyed our main courses. The chocolate ganche was so dark and rich and went with the gelato perfectly. Great night out from the kids!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome Irish waiter madeAwesome Irish waiter made our night !
