A Single PebbleGreat Restaurant! We've been there a couple of times and the service has always been good - but this time it was GREAT. The food is always high end and delicious but the real kicker are is the knowledgeable and smart waitstaff.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunchDim sum brunch was a great experience. Delicious, well paced, attractively presented, fun to eat and share. Would highly reccomend this unique dining experience!
Not for the budget conscious bit well worth it!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat night out with friends! We had a delicious meal out at A Single Pebble. It had been a few years since I last went, and the notable items to enjoy were the fried asparagus, the spicy lamb (both specials) and the Chop Your Head off Soup for 4 (best deal running!). Our favorite item, all around, was the Mock Eel. Made from mushrooms, it was the most delicious plate we had and I would have been happy with eating the whole plate myself!!! Enjoy!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic foodThe quality of the food is outstanding, the portions are sizable, and the service was excellent5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA real gem for vegan dinersmany vegetarian items on menu, almost all can be made vegan on request -- even had some vegan dessert options......my Buddha "Beef" was outstanding (I requested vegan version). Staff was very, very accommodating & food quality was exceptional from entree thru dessert5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMI'm a regular! This is one of my favorite restaurants and I usually find myself here a few times/month. Phoebe is a fantastic waitress - Knowledgable about the menu items, timely, and attentive. Our favorite dishes are the hot & sour soup (best we've tasted ANYWHERE, local or otherwise), the Mock Eel (I could live on that), the dry fry green beans (I've since learned to make these...had to), double garlic eggplant... It sounds like I don't eat meat: I do. And all their meat dishes are outstanding (3 cup chicken, Lemon chicken). But if you're a vegetarian this restaurant is a rare find. Normally a place will have "some things you can eat" or a couple items that are vegetarian. This place has TONS. How refreshing: Non-Americanized Authentic Chinese!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were accommodated as aWe were accommodated as a group without a hitch. Even special diet concerns were addressed enthusiastically. Dining at this restaurant was an altogether pleasant experience and I recommend it highly.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was EXCELLENT!Everything was EXCELLENT! Will definitely be back! However, they don't take Opentable gift cards because they don't take Amex - that was the only drawback.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMIn a region that's mostlyIn a region that's mostly bereft of good Asian places, A Single Pebble is not just "good by Northern New England standards", but good overall. Easily one of the best Chinese places I've been in the US.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways fabulous food! DefinitelyAlways fabulous food! Definitely a place to go with a group of friends to share many delicious choices.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is excellent. PerfectlyThe food is excellent. Perfectly cooked and nicely served. The staff is very warm. We'll be back!4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food! One of my favoriteGreat Food! One of my favorite places in Burlington. More of an adult restaurant. I don't think they like when you bring kids, even those that are well-behaved.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food here is great. KeepThe food here is great. Keep in mind it is served in a "family-style" , meaning each dish is intended to be shared by passing it around the large size lazy-susan on the table top. Because of this, not all of the entrees come out at once-they come out staggered according to what dishes you've finished as a group. It makes for a fun experience, so embrace it and don't be frustrated when the entrees come out at different times!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOur son went to college inOur son went to college in Burlington and ever since our first experience at the pebble, we make a special trip from NH just to dine there.
Great food.
If you ever do a fanchise, please let me know. Manchester NH needs a place like this.
Arthur Miller4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had just been through aWe had just been through a terribly long audit at my office and I wanted to do something for the folks that went above and beyond to help with it.
A Single Pebble was perfect for the occasion and we had a very enjoyable lunch.
Food was great, service was fast (actually, I would not have minded it being a little less quick as I was in no hurry to be back at the office.)4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMTheir vegetarian options areTheir vegetarian options are unbeatable for carnivores and veggies alike.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingI love the single pebble. I went there for my first time in 2004 and I have been back at least 100 times. My only complaint with the single pebble is that it holds me back from trying new restaurants. Lol. I always get the tasting menu and me and my guests always love the outcome. Thanks4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI've been in Burlington forI've been in Burlington for two years now and a Single Pebble is the best meal I've had here, and possibly the best I've had any where. Go here. Hope to return soon.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful as everWe went to A Single Pebble for lunch with a group of six people spanning three generations from work--and including two vegetarians. Everyone had a great time and the food and setting was perfect. If you go, make sure you leave enough time to make your selection from the extensive menu.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMI was very happy to bringI was very happy to bring my good friend from China to this restaurant on his visit to the USA.
