A Manojuppeats3.5starWere impressed with this comfortable Italian restaurant, that is an easy stroll from French Quarter. My guest had the regular salad which was nicely dressed. I had the cured meat appetizer. Basically a plate full of wonderful thinly sliced house-cured prosciutto. My guest had the squid ink pasta with crawfish and I had the bucatini with guanciale. Both were outstanding, and correctly portioned. Nice list of Italian wines. Service was appropriately attentive without being overbearing. Nicely decorated; comfortable like a neighborhood place, but a bit more upscale.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMfruitionThe promise that was evident when a Mano opened has been realized; the (selectively) limited menu, quality of ingredients, wine availability, staff and service were impeccable. The front of the house and their gracious attention to service was/is notable, and the kitchen's efforts were spot-on.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExquisite NOLA Italian restaurantNice atmosphere with good, casual buzz. Extremely tasty Northern Italian food, from appetizers to entrees and sides. Appreciate the attention to well prepared, locally produced foods. An excellent alternative to classic New Orleans fare.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMVery NiceGreat Seafood Salad
Good Bar
Great subtle Flavors but a little dull for New Orleans taste - I will bring my TABASCO the next time I go.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything about the nightEverything about the night was wonderful. the style of the restaurant is very typical of a Warehouse District restaurant with brick and concrete and the food is just excellent.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed the food and serviceEnjoyed the food and service here! The menu changes with the seasons and its creative and fresh. Not your traditional Italian food of red sauce etc, but very satisfying.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great time. The pastaWe had a great time. The pasta is outstanding----- as good if not better than in Italy. Wine list is priced very well. Lots of good bargins.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was a real find - excellentThis was a real find - excellent food, friendly staff. We certainly will go back next time we are in New Orleans!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMUnusual approach to ItalianUnusual approach to Italian foods with fresh, local ingredients and interesting flavors. I would highly recommend this place for a visitor to New Orleans who is looking for a break from traditional Louisiana foods.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMA Mano is easily one of myA Mano is easily one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. The food is superb! My favorites include the gnudi and the rabbit.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service. MostGreat food and service. Most people think of Italian food as having gobs and gobs of cheese and sauces a'la Olive Garden. A Mano is more about high quality, fresh, and locally sourced ingredients, the way Italian food was meant to be. There may not be tons of ingredients in a dish, but the taste is incredibly satisfying.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMI wasn't sure what to expectI wasn't sure what to expect after reading the mixed reviews. But I was pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding. Hand made pastas were really really good. Had a gnocchi special with a pork ragu. The gnocchi were like pillows - soft and light. The slow cooked pork melted in your mouth and the ragu had just a little hint of tomato. Just rightly balanced to let the pork unctuousness come through. The cavatelli with fennel sausage and beans was amazing as well. And the rabbit was perfectly cooked and the sauced just right. The general manager knew his small but good Italian wine list well and provided us with perfect pairing recommendations. Our server didn't know everything but he was able to find answers to all of our questions.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFriendly and helpful waiter,Friendly and helpful waiter, excellent food from first course to last....one of our favorite dining experiences in New Orleans!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful meal. Met beforeWonderful meal. Met before theater and had a fine leisurely dinner. Service was excellent as was the food. Everyone tried something different so we shared. The rabbit and pork meatballs were fantastic. Braise greens were to as well as the roasted beets and turnip dished.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent ItalianHad dinner here our first night in New Orleans - we didn't want to go overboard because of a race the next morning, so this was a great place to carb up. Very authentic Italian - reasonable portions and not tons of sauce.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner was outstanding. HighlyDinner was outstanding. Highly recommend the pasta dishes.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGive your review a title (optional)We went with our group of 7...ordered a lot of plates for us all to share. They were all fantastic. Menu was really good and would be fit for anybody, especially looking for some unique choice. Good wine choices, waiter was fantastic. We will go again for sure!3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWas Pleasantly SurprisedWe had lunch at A Mano on our last trip to New Orleans. The food especially the house made pastas. When I read some of the menu descriptions I was concerned about how flavor combinations might taste but everything that came out was perfect and delightly surprising. The buccatini and the spaghetti carbonara were both outstanding. There were several good accompaniments such as bruschettas and salads. Our server was wonderful as well. The restaurant was very quiet, hopefully more people find out about it and try it, because it's definitely worth it.9/14/2012 12:00:00 AM
