95 Cordova RestaurantGreat sea bass! While we planned to enjoy the restaurant's delicious buffet on Mother's Day, 95 Cordova decided to end its service early. Our remaining option was the 4 course prix fixe dinner menu which included a delecatble sea bass entree and crabcake appetizer. Our food was superb! Service was also attentive, especially in light of a reserveration snafu. This restauarnt is a great place to celebrate holidays and special occasions.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary GemMy wife and I celebrated our 22 anniversary by having dinner at 95 Cordova. The food was excellent as well as the service.
I would highly recommend it for any special occasion.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBad PROur party of 4 had a 5:30 reservation and I requested to be seated at a table in the corner that was set for 4. I was told we couldn't be seated there because they might need the table later for a larger party. The restaurant only had a few people dining at the time, and there was plenty of room for larger parties. I specifically requested such a table when I made my reservation as we sat there in the past (4 people). It was bad PR that my request was denied, especially as that table sat empty the entire time we were there. Reservations should be given preference over walk-ins. I felt annoyed through my whole dinner and because I feel that a restaurant of this caliber should be more accommodating, I will think twice about returning.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Dining experienceMeal was outstanding, beautiful decor - the waiter could have been a bit more attentive, but overall great experience.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMSpanish Charm and Gormet GreatnessThe famous Casa de Monica Hotel with its impressive presence on Cordova and King Streets is an homage to everything Spanish. From the regal hotel lobby to the inviting lounge with genuine live lounge music, the scene is cool place to hang out for the tasteful and discerning nightclub goer, or just to have few drinks. Hidden within the intimidating Casa de Monica Hotel just a few feet away beyond the bright blue light of the sultry jazz bar is a sensational Spanish-influenced five-star restaurant called 95 Cordova, named for its address. The food here is gormet yet substantial with a price range that is very fair for restaurant of its elk and reputation. Whether you're up for a quality cut of steak, lobster, sea bass or duck, you like4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMbeautiful room, very goodbeautiful room, very good breakfast, omelets and waffles made to order. good job with sausage gravy too. pastries are homemade and delicious. very nice server, Kristen.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGood meal, great setting,Good meal, great setting, a bit over priced......good service.....nice for special occasions.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were there for our 15thWe were there for our 15th wedding anniversary dinner at recommendation of a friend. We enjoyed our meals and the service was great. We didn't have our kids but there were several there and seemed kid friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend 95 Cordova.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous Sunday brunch. FoodFabulous Sunday brunch. Food was exceptional, as was stellar service. It was a great choice, food was great and service was excellent as well. The ambiance was fit for the occasion.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMI always look forward to eatingI always look forward to eating at 95 Cordova. The service is always great and the Chef made an exception by doing the dish for my wife the way that she requested, due to her food allergies. Our waiter Lloyd was quite helpful in getting our food in a timely manner to go because I was called away on an emergency c-section in Putnam county. Lloyd has service us on three occasions and was always pleasant and informative about the meals on the menu. I will always come back and recommend tis place to people.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat brunch!Sunday brunch was lovely, with something for everyone. Lots of beautiful seafood, staff was lovely and the ambiance also lovely.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Impressed with 95 CordovaFrom the moment we stepped into 95 Cordova we knew our experience would be special. The ambiance of the place alone was so impressive as we felt we were whisked into a restaurant in Spain. The decorative lamps, chairs, and wall decor were so beautiful and grand. Our dining experience was nothing short of fabulous. Our server Dalton made excellent recommendations for the newest menu additions and local fare. We started with the Citrus Spinach Salad, which was full of flavor and uniqueness. Next, we had the Fried Green Tomatoes which were the best we've ever had. They were very lightly pan seared which made them delicious without being overly greasy. The goat cheese was a lovely accompaniment with the cream sauce and tomatoes on top.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly recommended!95 Cordova really does it all right. We had a spectacular meal - right down to the side dishes and salads. Everything was stand-out delicious. Highly recommended!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMIt is the only 4 star restaurantIt is the only 4 star restaurant in St. Augustine.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe tasting menu with wineThe tasting menu with wine pairings is excellent and a very good value.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Good, Generous PortionsEverything was very good. Portions are unnecessarily generous. The wine list offered some nice wines at reasonable prices. Overall an enjoyable meal.1/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant was gorgeous. The restaurant was gorgeous. Service was great. The food wasn't very good. Tomato and brie soupwas watery and lacked flavor. Onion bread was to die for good. We got the cured meat app. Good but nothing special. My date had a wedge salad- same good but average. He got the salmon entree- beautiful presentation but salmon too dry to eat. I had the chicken stuffed with dates over risotto. Risotto needed flavor and the chicken roll was so dry it was unedible. Very expensive for the quality. Wines were extremely overpriced.12/30/2012 12:00:00 AMThe duck confit egg roll thatThe duck confit egg roll that has been raved about in previous reviews lived up to our high expectations. My husband enjoyed his Chilean sea bass entree as well as his bites of the seasonal special which I ordered -- porcini ravioli with braised rabbit. It was a big deal for me to jump over the "bunny" hurdle and order rabbit to eat (I had never had it) but well worth the plunge -- an absolutely delicious meal. Although the dessert menu was tempting, we were too full and opted for decaf cappuccino which was expertly prepared. Service was spot on throughout the evening. We have always enjoyed our experiences at 95 Cordova but this was the best yet. Somewhat pricey but the quality of food and service is well worth the cost.12/29/2012 12:00:00 AM
