Diner Reviews
  • "We ordered:! Steak Pizza Beef tarter Desert Desert wasn't great but beet tarter and steak were amazing. Pizza was also great with thin crisp. "

  • "Our waiter was wonderful - in his late forties maybe with dark hair. Sorry, I can't remember his name. Food was superb."

  • "Everything we ordered was very tasty, well presented and well portioned. We had cocktails, the server was even kind enough to help my pregnant friend select a cocktail to turn "virgin". If you are trying to catch up with an old friend or have a romantic date and get to know someone, avoid going during peak hours unless you want to yell at each other as it's a very popular place and quite loud."

  • "My wife and I frequent this restaurant once or twice a month. With 8 to 10 restaurants in a 4 block area of downtown Bend this in itself is a recommendation. Although the menu does not change much specials are usually available. The wine list and reserve wine lists are pretty extensive. The service is always very good. What is offered on the menu is always quite good and the specials of the day are really good. The restaurant is nicely located in downtown and offers seasonal outdoor seating. Children are welcome but seems few families take advantage of this. Mostly seems to be a couples restaurant. Bar scene is rather eclectic - drinks are awesome."

  • "We haven't been here in2 years, but the quality of food has really declined. Barely any cheese, or sausage on the sausage pizza. Salmon was overdone and salty. Kids eat free on Sunday, but it wasn't worth it since they didn't want to eat the food. Even the cheese pizza tasted bad. Dessert beignets were ok, not great. Apple crisp was pretty good. Kids cookie and ice cream: I don't know how you can mess up a chocolate chip cookie, but it wasn't a good one. Sorry, but there are much better choices in town."

  • "We had walked past 900 Wall a couple of evenings, and given the line of people waiting to be seated, thought it must be excellent! We made reservations and were excited about our night out. The service was good, and the wine/beer selections are very good. The olive taster and focaccia bread came to our table and our palates looked forward to what was coming next. I had ordered 4 of the vegetable sides for what seemed would be a gourmet treat based on description. My husband ordered the evening special, our waitress recommended it as "excellent": prime rib. We were both extremely disappointed with our meals. We hesitated to send them back, as we weren't sure there would be anything worth re-ordering. Poor quality and over priced."

  • "We had a wonderful evening at 900Wall with friends from out of town. Service was spot on and friendly. Everything we ordered was really good. Looking forward to our next visit. Next time we will give the Happy Hour menu a try ... options looked tasty and priced right!"

  • "The service overall was slow for a Wednesday night and it not being very crowded but not sure if it was because they were not wanting to rush you or it was just slow."

  • "Four of us had dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed it! We first ordered 4 or 5 small plates, which we savored. They were generous enough, though, that we didn't feel the need to order entrees afterward, so three of us went with salads or another small plate for our main course. Our server was very patient with us. She was attentive enough to our needs but we never felt rushed to decide."

  • "I am so glad I found this restaurant and made a reservation. Our meals were fantastic and I even got a booth (I asked for a booth on my open table reservation). It was a fantastic evening."

  • "Unique spins on traditional dishes, such as a tartare served with a generous dome of horseradish custard with embedded egg yolk. Cocktails and food had a healthy amount of spice, which I adore and admire."

  • "I was impressed with several things about the service during a very busy Hallmark holiday. We had a reservation for 8pm, and even with the restaurant very full and with people waiting, we were seated at 8:05. Our waiter was prompt, curteous, and efficient without being intrusive. Overall, the food was very good, though the lambchops were a bit overcooked. The presentation of each of the courses was very nice."

  • "Just the perfect place for dinner before a show at the Tower!"

  • "This can be a fun place to eat and socialize. We unfortunately were sat too close to the door - so that any time someone came in or out, we were blasted with arctic air. Suggestion: bring mittens and a hat!"

  • "Everything I've ever had to eat there is fantastic. It's a little on the loud side but the ambience and lighting is still great for evening dining."

  • "We were lucky enough to get a reservation for New Year's Eve. The place was decorated with festive balloons and lights and the energy level was palpable. Service was excellent, the food was consistently good. The caesar salad was nothing special, but the tuna carpaccio was fresh and delicious. My salmon was cooked to perfection, while my companion enjoyed a delicious duck breast that was moist and tender inside and crispy skin on outside. Dessert was beignet dipped in strawberry, vanilla and chocolate sauce. The portion size was big and satisfying. All in all, a great way to celebrate New Year's Eve."

  • "A little commercial and not quite good enough: We had hoped this would be a special meal as 900 Wall came highly rated. The good - Nice menu. Respectable food. Generous Portions. Reasonable Prices. Good service. Pleasant ambiance. The bad - Mediocre wine flight. Mediocre bread. Meats deliciously grilled and perfectly done but likely brined and too salty. Sides could have been delicious but were not... white beans undercooked and slightly hard; braised greens tough, etc. Expected modest but good Flight of French wines. Disappointed. This would be a great place for family/guests who are not foodies and who appreciate decent food, large portions, good service and quick turn-around. I would not go back unless I had this sort of group with me."

  • "One if a few places open in downtown Bend on Christmas Eve. Every table was filled yet the restaurant was staffed perfectly to give great service and very good food. We had a party of six and I thought the food was great, I had a steak and it met my expectations and was cooked med rare as ordered and was hot when served. The Wall's staff did a great job on a busy night . Thank you for being open and making our family Christmas Eve a great evening."

  • "Our requested table was waiting for us, and my friend and I had a delightful, unhurried Sunday dinner. It was Dec. and the Hood Canal oysters were exceptional. We also had the french fries made from locally grown potatoes - full of flavor, crisp, excellent. I had the lamb shank, again local, and my friend had a tenderloin. Our server honestly reported that this particular beef was not local and we appreciated the information. The service was friendly and well informed."

  • "It is a very nice restaurant and the bar and staff was outstanding however, the waitress was so rude we left without eating"

  • "Enjoyed the food very much with the exception of the roasted potatoes which were over-done and too dry, and needed extra flavoring. The salad was Great! -- tiny, baby greens with a delightful dressing--this came with the appetizer cheese pie kind of thing--don't know what it's called on the menu. The flank steak was tender and flavorful. The duck confit was tender and good, although, again, I thought it could do with a little more seasoning--sage, thyme, rosemary, and more garlic. These seasoning wishes are personal preferences, and I understand you must have universal appeal. All in all, eating at 900 Wall was a delightful experience and the house wine was really nice and went well with the meal. And a good time was had by all."

  • "I took my granddaughters, aged 5 and 8, to dinner at 900 Wall last Friday. They are very polite and well-behaved and were treated with courtesy and respect. The food was served promptly and was delicious! The five-year-old ordered from the children's menu and her older sister from the small plates selections, as did I. With a couple of vegetable sides, we had an outstanding and nutritionally balanced meal. A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. But I have eaten there on numerous occasions and expected nothing less."

  • "The drinks were fresh & creative, and they had a great beer selection. Our group of 4 started with the beef carpaccio which was certainly worth it. We also ordered the deviled eggs that had a spicy kick to it. Then we ordered the sausage pizza, risotto, lamb shank, and pork chop on his plate, and the salted caramel sundae to share. Each dish was nothing short of amazing!!!"

  • "Went there to celebrate a birthday. Even though it was crowded the place has a sense of space with high ceilings and tables that aren't packed on top of each other. Food was diverse in offerings, the weakest item was the uninspired mixed green salad. The pork dish, pizzas and orchiette pasta were all excellent. Service was very good. Hostess needs to be better trained about seating people more promptly and sending out more welcoming vibes. All in all a very nice night out in downtown Bend."

  • "Nothing to rave about. My food was salty and everyone else's was "fine". All agreed to try another place next time. Nothing really stood out. The server was really friendly and remembered the people were with but that's about it."

  • "So very happy we had our one special dinner night here. The staff went above and beyond, with information on the individual dishes, quick and responsive service, friendly and cordial outlook."

  • "I took my husband there for his birthday because I thought it would be a great place for special occasions. It was ok but I did not feel like it was worth my money. Poor lighting. I'm a young person with good eyes but I could barely see the menu in the dark. Food was not anything special. I've paid less for dinner that tasted better."

  • "My wife and I had a great time. The host showed us to his favorite spot in the restaurant and were treated extremely well. This was our first time there. I had heard their 900 Wall burger was good and it exceeded my expectations. My wife had the pulled pork burger and was excellent as well. The drinks, the vibe and the service was just awesome. Definitely a place that my wife and I have claimed as "our place" to go when we want to go out on a date away from baby. Thank you!"

  • "We visit Bend every couple of years, and the restaurant scene changes. So we asked our innkeeper for a suggestion - and 900Wall was her first choice. We were not disappointed - we took relatives out for dinner and we all had wonderful dinners, I do have to rave about the goat cheese tart as an appetizer - it was amazing. Fluffy pastry with a goat cheese custard filling - carmelized onions and chantrelles with arugula as a side. So good. And our entrees were also good . Nice wine list - local offerings - reasonable prices and everything offered by the glass.. Homemade ice cream for desert. I would definitely recommend this place."
