84 Tavern on CanalUnexpectedly goodWe were staying at the truly exceptional Ocean House and wanted a meal 'in town.' We had no expectations of 84 Tavern. The bar area was obviously popular with locals and their families, and the decor a lot less than chic. We sat down and enjoyed a truly lovely evening.
The staff was friendly, efficient and caring and the food really delicious. The Clams Casino were amazingly good, but every morsel was delicious.
The wine list was unimpressive, but we hadn't expected to be impressed. Calamari was some of the best I've ever had and both of our meals were excellent. The drinks list was also impressive.
