83 ½ is best described as a labor of love. A love of a family, friends and most importantly, food. Owner Vincenzo Mangiafridda, a twenty-year restaurant veteran of the Upper East Side, wanted to open a restaurant that spoke to his deep Sicilian roots. In 83 1/2, his vision has become reality.
… Chef Will Foden, a rising star from one of Boston’s finest eateries, has created a seasonal menu of memorable Sicilian-influenced dishes including silky pastas, inventive stuzzicare, and his instant neighborhood classic - Sunday Gravy. Wine director Jean-Luc Le Du has compliments the cuisine with a striking array of wines known as much for their quality and integrity as their luminous bouquets.
