The food was very good with a few exceptions. Our server was not as attentive as I would have liked for a restaurant of this quality. We had to ask several times for some items and often found our drinks unfilled. If you are with someone who requires wheelchair accessible seating expect to only be able to sit outside in the courtyard. This is only problematic if it is raining or very hot and humid that night. Not only was the food great, but the portions were much more than I thought they would be for a restaurant of this caliber. my only complaint was that it was a little noisey (we ate inside), but this could have been due to an overly excited group. We were asked if we wanted to move, but the view was worth the sacrifice of a little extra noise. The food and service are outstanding. We love to sit outside, but this trip it was raining, so we opted for the greenhouse. Loved it! The servers at 82 Queen have always been part of what makes it so special. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to make sure everyone's happy. We have tried many items on the menu and have never been disappointed. And who wouldn't love a hamburger with pimento cheese? We were seated in a pleasant outdoor patio and got prompt service from the very pleasant waitress. Out food came out hot and promptly and did not disappoint. We tried their version of Shrimp and Grits and found it very tasty. We were seated immediately and a waiter got our drink orders almost as soon as we sat down. Drinks were great. Although there were some appetizers and salads that sounded great, we both went with the She Crab Soup, which is the best I've ever had. A cup is plenty if you're planning on eating an entrée. We both got a featured entrée: a salmon pairing. One piece was done with barbeque sauce and one with balsamic vinegar. Both were very good. Be sure to try the small herbed biscuits they place on the table. They're wonderful! We loved it then and love it still! You MUST try the Shrimp and Grits Fritters. They were phenomenal. My husband had a rib eye and enjoyed it. I had the salmon on brussle sprouts and loved it! The outdoor seating is one of the most relaxing spots in Charleston and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Both had intestinal problems the rest of the day. Others ordered dishes with grits so that was not the problem. Stay away from the shrimp and the sauce.
Other than that problem, the rest of the dinners were great. The service was attentive.
