We had quick and friendly service. Everyone seemed to work together as a team to bring this Awesome Service. Food was brought quite quickly to Us. It started to get busier half hour into our meal. We arrived at 630 pm. Good place for people watching. We had a great corner table. We started with shrimp And scallops. Amazing tastes. We also tried the Indonesian pork and noodle dish very tasty. We had the butternut squash ravioli wrh walnuts. I found it perfectly cooked but not that much flavour for me. The toffee pudding was full Of spice and flavour and very yummy. Id Love to go back for weekend brunch. Thank You.

We got in early before the crowd (this place fills up on Saturday night). We got our order in and enjoyed a beer from the decent list of brews. Rather than nibble at appies and pub grub, we went for the beef. The ribeye was very tasty, swimming in a wonderfull spicy BBQ sauce. The chipotle mashed potato donuts were fabulous and the grilled veggies were cooked to perfection. Cheesecake to finish was pretty good. Overall an very nice evening.

I stumbled on 80th & Ivy through a search on OpenTable for open seats for Valentine's Day. I've never heard of the restaurant before and was pleasantly surprised to discover how great this place is. The staff was very friendly and service quality was great. My wife and I ordered everything on the Valentine's Day menu: Winter Salad, Spicy Prawn Tacos, Crab & Arctic Char, Braised Shortrib, and the Chocolate Paté. Both food and service were amazing, the only minor critique I have was that the sides for the Arctic Char (gnocchi and vegetables) seem a little underdone. Overall very impressed with 80th & Ivy, and this may very well be one of my new favourite restaurants.

The food is always fantastic, everything made inhouse & from scratch. I can't say enough good things about the food (particularly the steak bites with togarashi, my favorite!!) and the service was impeccable. The back room has a great dining vibe where you can see the kitchen and the decor is warm, modern & inviting. Great place to share lots of food with friends!

I've been to 80th and Ivy about half a dozen times and always had a great experience there, unfortunately this time it was not as good. The food was ok and it was way louder and seemed more like a bar scene than I had remembered it. Perhaps it's because we were sitting in their lounge side? If that's the case, I would recommend if you can sit in the back if you're not really looking for a bar scene.

It was our first visit to 80th and Ivy and we loved it. Food was amazing but the service from Nathan was top notch. I really appreciated the sincerity and attention. The Managing Partner - Greg, was also a pleasure to meet and made sure our first night out there was memorable. My wife and I will certainly be heading back there soon. Thanks again!

I came to 80th & Ivy for the first time on saturday evening and definitely will be back. We had made reservations with a party of 4 and the place was hopping when we arrived. Our table wasn't quite ready as the previous party was just finishing up but waited no more than 10 min or so and the complimentary wine while we waited was nice. From the moment we sat down our waitress was super attentive answered all our questions about varied menu items. Food was fantastic atmosphere and the service was great. This is a great place for a nice dinner with friends or for special occasions.

Went on a Saturday night. The food was really, really good. The place was packed and incredibly loud - beyond "busy fun restaurant" loud, more like "200 people screaming at the top of their lungs loud". The service was friendly, but super slow.

We arrived at 6PM on a Friday and it became vibrant and very noisy in a hurry. Even though very busy, the service was still excellent. A manager checked on us during our meal and as we were leaving. The only negative was an inconsistency in food portions and pricing. The 1/2 chicken was enormous, delicious and good value at $22. The roast chicken flatbread for $17 was small for a main course and it should have been listed as an appetizer. There was virtually no chicken on it either so I was starving, while my friend stuffed himself on his chicken. My wife said her portion size of ravioli was also too small (about 6 pieces of ravioli) for $16. By the way, we are small people with an average appetite.

This restaurant used to have fun sharing foods but the more I go, the worse it gets. They add sweet sauces to everything now, ruining the flavour of the food. Why drench lovely scallops and prawns with syrup? The charcuterie board used to be substantial - it had cheap cheap cheeses and only a small amount of it, and just a little bit of meat, again drenched in a sweet balsamic reduction. Tuna tacos had little to no tuna. I was extremely disappointed. I used to go here at least on e a week - my attendance will not be as high anymore that's for sure.

I took a business associate to 80th and Ivy for Sunday brunch last week. The service, while never stellar there, was poor. Sat waiting for coffee to start for 15 minutes before the server came by, no apology for the wait, even though there were only 5 tables and two servers. Took the order, food came without parts of it, couldn't find her to correct it until the end of the meal. Not enough to make me not go again, but enough to disappoint. The food there is always worth the trip but they've got some work to do on service.

Our service was very slow moving.... The food itself lacked the dedication that was presented the first time. Was cold... The tuna duo was bland. Table not cleared or cleaned in time.... just not the best time. For the idea behind the conceptualization.... missed the mark. Owners should check out Raudz in Keown a or Model Milk... comparable ideas but they do it MUCH better.

Been to this restaurant several times and have had pretty good meals. This night the waitress highly recommended the greek ribs. We ordered our drinks and checked out the menu as it has changed since we were there last. We decided to try the ribs and ordered them to start with, they were absolutely delicious! by far best ribs I've had, my wife agreed with me. The only problem with them was they were a bit too charred, if that can be avoided they would be perfect! For the main course my wife ordered the margarita pizza and I ordered the Chicken sandwich, they were both quite good. The drink prices are quite reasonable, beer $5.00 for a pint and $6.00 for a 5 oz glass of house wine. The service here has always been good.

We were looking for a place to go on Boxing Day for a family dinner, parents plus 3 adult children, plus two others were joining us at an unknown time for drinks. This place was perfect. We had an amazing family dinner and there was room for more at our table. Food was awesome, I 'never' order a burger, but did that night... and it really was perfect. Will definitely make a return visit when kids are back in town, or to try the brunch.

The positives include the great decor (funky lighting) and trendy casual ambience. The service was very good. Two members of our party sent their steaks back for being cold and the staff were excellent about taking it back, and removing a large portion of our bill. That being said, the food is excessively overpriced (nothing original or flavourful) for the upscale pub type feel of the place. The food is also only mediocre, with very fatty cuts of meat and half the menu items were not available that night. I can bearly remember what I ate only 2 nights ago. Unfortunately I will not be back. You can spend your money more wisely at many of Calgary's other excellent restaurants.

This was my 5th visit, each visit getting progressively worse. Since my 1st visit, I've always ordered the kale salad and added chicken and would crave it between visits. But I found that it was inconsistent, sometimes not enough dressing, or not enough lemon... I can't always put my finger on it, but it's been really good maybe 2 out of 5 times. But it was the service on our past visit (a quiet Monday night) that needs to be noted. The server knew nothing about the special that night, refilled my drink only after persistent requests/reminders and flew by only once to ask how our meals were and after hearing my friend's semi-positive response, left. I wanted to make a comment about the salad, but she was gone before I could say anything.
