  • "Very nice restaurant and the food was delicious. However, too expensive to make this a regular place."

  • "Food tasted superb. Wines are way toooo pricey! Service restrained, experienced and unobtrusive."

  • "We love this place. It is, without question, the best steak house in Omaha! Food is outstanding and the service, especially Ricardo, is spot on perfection! Save room for a Gran Marnier Souffle, you won't regret it."
    Dined on 8/29/2014
  • "food was very good, wines are over priced, need to add more moderately priced bottles"

  • "Can't say enough; the food was masterfully prepared and the service impeccable. Of course the atmosphere compares to none. I give this restaurant a 10++++++"

  • "A SPECIAL OCCASION " RUINED " BY POOR SERVICE! ONE OF OMAHA'S PRIME RESTAURANTS? 5 STAR PRICES.. McDONALD'S SERVICE ! FOOD WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT.. IF SERVED WHEN READY! ( LUKE WARM SHRIMP COCKTAIL.. WARM STEAK. COOL MUSHROOMS & MASHED POTATOES) WAITER????? SAW AT INCERMENTS OF 10-20 MINS. PRIME PRICES... DISAPPOINTING SERVICE?"

  • "We had a group of five for dinner and the restaurant was busy. The service was good but the food was average. Everyone agreed that their starters and the sides were good. We especially enjoyed the wedge salad and the creamed spinach. The cocktails were great and that helped the evening. The problem was the steaks. The rib-eye is very expensive and both people at our table who had it said it wasn't good. I had the filet medallions which were good but nothing extraordinary. It was a very expensive dinner and no one walked away thinking that it was worth the money. I will try some of the other steak restaurants the next time I am in Omaha."

  • "This was our first visit to 801 Chophouse and we definitely be returning. We had a great server and outstanding filet mignon-cooked to perfection with brown butter gnocchi and grilled asparagus. I would highly recommend the Grand Marnier souffle for dessert. You need to order at the start of the night since it is made fresh for each order."

  • "Never a bad meal. Sometimes I don't like going there because it makes all other food taste bad!!!! SO GOOD!"
    Dined on 8/24/2014
  • "It was a bit noisy and needs some decor to deaden the echo. The filet was overcooked and well done burned on the outside and dry on the inside. I asked for pink in the middle but not raw so med well. Make sure you order on the side. The mashed potatoes were excellent. The green beans were lacking in green beans. There were more thick bacon cuts than anything and way too much grease. THe waitstaff could be a little more friendly but maybe they are suppose to be only professional and not as friendly. I was full but probably won't visit again."

  • "Very nice evening. Lots of attention to details. Great service."

  • "I was disappointed with the quality and flavor of the steaks. The sides, salads, wine and service were great."
    Dined on 8/22/2014
  • "We had a great time at Chophouse. It is a pricey dinner, so we only go for special occasions. But the staff was awesome and we had a delicious dinner."
    Dined on 8/22/2014
  • "$50 steaks, I'm sorry that's just way over priced. And $10 for a baked potato, really. Nothing was amazing and it was really loud."
    Dined on 8/21/2014
  • "This is the third time we've dined here. We agreed the first two times were better experiences than our last. With that being said we'll probably go back at some point."
    Dined on 8/21/2014
  • "Food and service were both excellent. I liked the Scotch selection."
    Dined on 8/20/2014
  • "Unfortunately, we let ourselves get talked into the lux steaks... While I'm aware there is unlikely to be any steak worth $76, this was bad. My steak was pale (like nearing pork-white, not vibrant red), sinewy, and tough to cut. I realize the most flavorful cuts have more marbling and more fat, and are near the bone, but nothing about this steak screamed luxury. It was a tragic selection that shouldn't have been offered, and a steak that looked like mine should not have been served. Don't they have quality control?"
    Dined on 8/16/2014
  • "This was our 2nd time. We loved the first visit except the prime rib (which was huge) was not as good as I had hoped. This time we tried the fried calamari and it was the best I've ever eaten; outstanding! The boursin mashed potatoes and creamed corn were very good. The pineapple sorbet was excellent! Our medium ribeye (I like med-rare, but the wife likes medium) looked a little thin and was overcharred, but still cooked to medium as ordered. I like a good char, but not burned. My wife said it looked and tasted burned to her. I also expected a more tender ribeye for prime. We shared the steak and it wasn't bad, but for a $52 steak, I want it to be a lot better than what I've made in the past at home on my own grill."

  • "This was our frist trip to 801 Chophouse. Everything we had from the lobster corndogs to our steak was amazing. Cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. Server was very nice and I never had to ask for a refill on my drink! We will for sure add this to our list of top places to eat in Omaha!"

  • "This is the only restaurant in the Omaha area that serves prime beef.....excellent. Service, food and atmosphere are top notch."
    Dined on 8/15/2014
  • "Food is the best steak spot in town. Service was excellent, knowledgable, and provided the right balance between needs and to much presence. With the preface that I am older both chronologically and in expectations, I believe there should be a minimum dress code--shorts, tee shirts and the like detract from the exclusivity of the experience. , particularly in the context of the prices. This is an expensive restaurant for Omaha. There has been a great deal of personnel turnover. Hopefully not sounding arrogant, as someone who has frequented the restaurant many times since it's opening, it always strikes me that other than the few long terms employees, I do not feel welcomed as a long term client."
    Dined on 8/14/2014
  • "Everything was absolutely the way I wanted. Same with my two guests"
    Dined on 8/14/2014
  • "The food and service was excellent! The restaurant's high standards can be seen in each element of the ding experience."
    Dined on 8/13/2014
  • "This is probably my 15th time at 801 Chophouse and every time I go I am impressed all over again. On this visit, our server, Michael, was incredible and tailored the service directly to us. He was fun and friendly to joke around with, but also had the professionalism that you would expect from such as place. When he told us the specials for the evening and how incredible they were, you could tell that he had tried them before and was giving his honest recommendation."
    Dined on 8/12/2014
  • "The beef is outstanding. And this time of year the corn is too."
    Dined on 8/12/2014
  • "We had an excellent time-It was a redemption as our last visit here was a disaster, Our previous experience our waitress didn't put in our order. After an hour of waiting and seeing other tables served and also trying to see our waitress to ask, the mgr came to our table to explain what had happened. No compensation was given--we had to leave with no food to attend a performance at the Holland, hungry. Our waitress this time was very good and was experienced. The only reason we even gave it a second try is our son/daughter-n-law had a nice time a few months previously. The first visit could have been handled much better by this restaurant. I will also say we received our Open Table conf the next morning after our dinner. Not timely."

  • "We made reservations for dinner on our anniversary and it was a perfect evening. Our server did an excellent job and the food was perfectly prepared. We received a Happy Anniversary card along with a $25 gift certification which we will definitely use on our next visit. The personalized menu even had Happy Anniversary printed professionally on top. I will definitely return again and again."

  • "Class all around, wonderful service, Lloyd was our server, very helpful, not intrusive, very professional. Jake, the manager, came to our table and asked how the food and service was, a nice touch. The steaks were some of the best I have tasted in Omaha, the panchetta wrapped scallops melted in my mouth. The Maytag (blue cheese) potatoes were fabulous. We also had the chocolate soufflé and it was very good too. This is fine dining...excellent service...nice presentations, and a very classy establishment. Highly recommended!!!"

  • "knowledgable, friendly waitress. ordered and served food in efficient manner."
    Dined on 8/9/2014
  • "The food is always great here. We tried the prime rib for the first time. The waitress recommended a "dry rub" preparation. It was a fantastic suggestion that resulted in the best prime rib we've ever had."
    Dined on 8/8/2014
  • "The food is very good, however overpriced. The food is no better than the Zin room or Sullivan's, two of our favorites that are more reasonably priced. The cheapest bottle of wine on the wine list is $65 so be prepared to spend $200 for two people if you want a bottle of wine with your meal. If you want appetizers or salad add another $50."
    Dined on 8/7/2014
  • "My husband and I dined at 801 Chophouse for our anniversary. We were thrilled to have "happy anniversary" written in chocolate on our desert plate, a card wishing us many more years of happiness along with a $25 giftcard. We were so impressed by the service, and how the staff made our evening so special. We will never forget the wonderful experience we had."
    Dined on 8/3/2014
  • "The food is overpriced here for the quality of the food. It is a good steak but not great, the flavor was not there like I have experienced at a Ruth's Chris, Flemings or Mortons."
    Dined on 8/2/2014
  • "The food was fantastic. We had made an online reservation and arrived early. We were seating immediately and given water quickly. It took a few minutes for our server to arrive. We mentioned we had never dined there before but he didn't describe the menu too in-depth- did note that the sides were sized for sharing- but not many other details. The sides were delicious and definitely big enough to share. We had heard about the chocolate souffle and ordered immediately as it takes 45 minutes (also sized to share). Our meals came much quicker than expected and the time between our meal and dinner was perfect. The chocolate souffle was amazing! Overall a great experience but you must be prepared to spend the money for this quality food"

  • "My wife and I enjoyed our night at 801 very much. The waiter was very professional and knowledgable about the food. It was our first time patonizing the restaurant so we werent sure what to expect. We were very satisfied with the portions and taste. The bone-in ribeye ($62) was very good and her KC strip($58) was equally delicious. The only hesitation we had was the price. The food is on the pricey side, especially with everything being ala carte. It is a restaurant that we would try again but with the cost, it will probably be once a year or for a special occasion. But it is definetly a restaurant that I would recommend to others to try."

  • "This was the third time my wife and I dined at 801, and it was by far the best. We had the best pork belly we have ever had anywhere as our appetizer. It was plated with corn cakes and corn salsa that made for one of the most amazing bites of food you could take. The steaks were cooked very well, as well as the sides. The service was personal and made for the feeling that we were the only people in the restaurant, but look around and you see that the server has a full work load. That requires great skill of the server. I look forward to dining at 801 again."
