Diner Reviews
  • "Always fun to eat in Lawrence on Mass. This place didn't disappoint. Quiet on a Monday night, but great food, nice wine list. Weather was perfect to eat outside, I would go back again. Interesting menu that would be fun to explore."

  • "For those that like acceptable, generally good food served in a nice way, 715 is a good restaurant. Nothing more, nothing less. it is loud, a bit pricey, and generally a good but not exceptional restaurant."

  • "Never disappointed! 715 is a favorite spot for lunch or dinner when I am occasionally in Lawrence. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Our server made some wonderful suggestions when asked but was not pushy. The food is always incredible, using many local sources for fresh produce, cheese, and meat. There is something for everyone and 715 is top of my favorite restaurants anywhere!"

  • "As always, wonderful food and excellent service. Have been visiting since the restaurant opened and have never been disappointed: highest-quality ingredients made into wonderful dishes."

  • "Enjoyed our experience at 715. Food was unique, trendy and tasty. Portions seemed very small on all selections for the price. Left delighted but still hungry."

  • "We always choose 715 for our special occasions. They have great seasonal specials with a creative twist!"

  • "Actually, this is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere! Everything is so fresh, local and delicious! I'm gluten-intolerant and they always have lots of options for me."

  • "Food was very good as was the service. We sat toward the back of the restaurant and it was very very loud. One of my friends said she would not go back because of that. Other than that we had a great time!"

  • "715 is great. My favorites include the house green salad and tuna spaghetti. My wife swears by the pork chop and the chocolate mousse. Pickled vegetables... fegatini... olives... everything is delicious and a lot of it is local. The wine list is not incredibly extensive but lots of good-value bottles and glasses. Service is always friendly and helpful. We have become regulars and I hope they keep this up for many more years."

  • "I recently had dinner 2 nights in a row at 715 and it was a dining delight each night. The first night I had the pork chop. It was at least 1" thick juicy and tender;it was to die for. I also had the sweet corn gelato. Sound strange? Well, oh my, what a treat. The second night I had the spaghetti and meatballs - all of their pastas are homemade. So good, the sauce was so light and tasted of fresh tomatoes. Wanted to get the sweet corn gelato again but they were all out, dang! If you like a cocktail, they have a great assortment of very good drinks. I especially liked the La Prima and the Spy cocktails. Both evenings our server was so fun, friendly, and helpful. 715 is a must for a fun and delicious evening."

  • "Good food. Unique food and interesting menu choices. There is enough non-unique food options to please those who are not into trying different dishes. Unique cocktails."

  • "One of the few restaurants in the region that is creative with their menu. Generally good ingredients well and simply prepared. Even the simplest dishes have honest, distinctive flavors."

  • "We were looking for something a little different and didn't want to make the Trek into KC. Did an online search read the reviews and remembered a neighbour Recommended it. We were not disappointed but would go a little earlier or really Late if you want a quite romantic evening it does get a little loud in a happy way. Everyone is truly enjoying themselves!"

  • "Had the mussels (not local of course) but the additions to the broth were local and made the meal spectacular. Strawberry honey & mint pie was a big disappointment (no taste of either honey or mint and overcooked strawberries), strawberry rhubarb sorbet was great! Fried chicken livers were delicious!"

  • "We made reservations through Open table for 7PM. When we arrived we were seated along bench style seating with about a foot of space between the tables. My wife and I were seated next to two men engaged in conversation yet there were many tables on both sides of us. This was annoying as a few minutes later another couple was seated on the other side of us. This made carrying on a conversation very difficult as we all tried to speak loud enough for the person across the table to hear us. We had the sole and it was Delicious. Couldn't wait to leave all the noise. We have been there before and will go back again but not for awhile, even then we will request another type of seating."

  • "My lasagna was luke-warm so I sent it back. They served me another portion of piping hot lasagna and it was delicious. The fish special are always excellent, and the sour cherry pie was outstanding. Great service, great meal."

  • "I love 715, but they have a problem with bringing out vegetable orders....this was our third trip when we ordered a side of their fantastic veggie sides that never appeared."

  • "I didn't think to request our table for six in an area that was quieter if that was even possible. It was very difficult to hear each other. Two people could probably carry on a conversation but not six. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for it. Everyone seemed happy with their entrees. I loved the sauce on the sausage pizza. The service was excellent and friendly. I did request that the drink menu be kept off the table and that was carried out. "

  • "My ratings are based on "value", taking into account the entire experience including the quality of the food, ambiance, service, and price ... the entire culinary experience. I have had far better meals for much less (in Italy) and more, so price is but one factor. Based on my experience at 715, prices in the range of $10 to $13 would be more appropriate for the pasta dishes, $5 to $6 for the meatballs, and NO CHARGE for the bread would earn an extra bomb or two, but for an 8 to 10 bomb experience they would need to train their chefs in proper Italian culinary techniques, including how to cook pasta, season the sauces, and NOT drown the pasta in excess sauce. CombatCritic Gives 715 6 Bombs Out of 10 ... LE BOMBE SONO BUONE!"

  • "We chose 715 to celebrate my 64th birthday. This was our first visit. We were not disappointed. I had the Kielbasa and my wife had an Italian dish. I forget what. I will attribute the memory loss to the $7.00 off on a bottle of wine special on Tues. nite. We both enjoyed our food and the service was excellent. Price on our meals was $15.00 each. Nice bistro type atmosphere. We shall return !!"

  • "We were excited to fly in from the east coast to try out this restaurant! We started off ordering items off of the menu special for the night and thats when it all began! From drinks to apps and onto entrees they were out of 7-10 items on their menu at 730pm. We asked for the check and left, however the restaurant did pick up our bill, which we appreciated, howerver not sure if we will return."

  • "Very laid-back but upscale. Great place to take a date. Utilizing local produce as much as possible. Unique dishes, we'll prepared. Noise level a little high at busy times. "
    Dined on 5/23/2014
  • "I loved the ambiance. I took out a girl on a first date and the experience took all of my nerves away. Something kind of small that I really loved was the water pitcher on the table. That was great for having instant refills on water. For how nice the place is, it was reasonably priced and my date and I had a wonderful time."

  • "they do a nice job. food is about the best in lawrence. expect a really nice meal, but not great. small tables and you sit inches away from the person next to you and pretend they are not there. over all its a definitely worth going, but if you don't want anyone to hear your conversation this will be a challenge."

  • "We dined here on a Friday evening. Our table was not ready when we arrived but sitting at the bar to wait was a very nice experience. The atmosphere is chic but welcoming and the food was quite good. I would definitely recommend. "

  • "We went for our anniversary. However, anytime I ask my daughter where she wants to eat, it is always the same answer, "the good noodle place." This is for sure her favorite restaurant and one of ours as well. It never disappoints us. "

  • "Selecting the perfect restaurant to surprise my wife on her birthday is no easy task. The staff at 715 went above and beyond by allowing me to drop off roses and a card hours before my reservation, and then setting them on the table to greet my wife. Katie was fabulous and she served us well. The food is always great, and the ambience is, well, you just know you are down on Mass Street when you eat at 715 and that is what we love about the place!"

  • "we felt that the chef was trying too hard and over did classic dishes. Not the best italian food we have ever had. Some dishes did not arrive as mentioned on the menue. More vegetables included with dishes would be nice. "

  • "We're eaten at 715 many times. We were just four but had to yell to talk, the noise level was so bad. Moreover, the presentation was not good, just food plopped on the plate, nothing pretty, just the food. My partner and I split a salad. The plate on which it was served was about half the size it should have been. The salad as a result, was not easy to eat because it fell off the plate. It was not a large helping either. We brought out of town guests to share the meal and we were embarrassed by the experience. My pork chop was delicious and the salad, apple and fennel, what I often get, was good too but the experience was very bad. I don't think we'll be going to 715 any time soon. The white house wine is awful too. "

  • "Overall experience was pretty good. One of our party's pasta came out luke warm. Server seemed to be a bit uninformed about some of the menu items (didn't really know anything about the daily special). One item that I would HIGHLY recommend is the Kielbasa. It was the best I have ever had. The drink menu could use a little "dumbing down" as you need google to understand what much of the ingredients are. "

  • "I visited 715 with several friends. We ordered a bottle of wine and each got one of the dinner dishes. Although my pasta was good, and I ordered the small size, I was disappointed with the amount of food that I got for 13 dollars. It was not enough to fill me up, and although I enjoyed it, I expected a larger portion. However, the discounted wine bottles on the night that we dined were a nice perk!"

  • "715 is one of our special restaurants in Lawrence. The food is always good, local, and fresh. This meal was as expected--wonderful, and all in our party had plenty to choose from on the menu. The only criticism is that the place is awfully noisy, and I find it very hard to carry on a conversation--I have hearing loss and wear aids which tend to help some, but also amplify noise."

  • "I am 70 and daughter is 43 and she recommended. Tuscan means to me Italian with Florence in mind. Italian limited and no white sauces. I had Schnitzel but while meat was good, cole slaw was grocery store quality and needed more of either good German Potato Salad or Cabbage or more to make it better. Very Loud which made it hard to visit and enjoy. Watery G&T surprised me in not good way since it looked like interesting bar menu. Noise Level (Energetic) is only choice but "Too loud" and unpleasant for me to go again. Their service was excellent and food was good!"

  • "I've been to 715 just three times now, but if I lived closer -- that number would be much higher. My most recent visit was for Sunday brunch. I chose chicken-friend pork steak, which had a tasty crunchy coating and came with delicious breakfast potatoes and gravy. Yum! A friend chose the ham & egg panini and was very happy with her choice. The winner of the day, though, was the smoked trout benedict. We all sampled each other's choices and it was voted it the hands-down winner. Next time, if it's still available, I know what I'm getting. Service was stellar, too: friendly, polite, just enough visits to the table to make sure we were well cared for, not so many as to interfere with conversation. Already looking forward to my next visit!"
