  • "Food as usual was excellent. Tuna crudo was delicious. Pastas excellent. Problem is their wine service. Waitress had to ask 3 times "what we ordered again"... She then brought the bottle and started opening it without showing us the bottle first -- of course it was the wrong wine. The supertuscan we ordered was refrigerator (not "wine cellar") cold. Finally, the after dinner drink brought was also wrong, and the waitress was again oblivious to what we ordered - and obviously untrained. A shame for an otherwise good place. Btw, also misleading is what they call a "quartino". This is supposed to be a 1/4 of a liter or 1/3 of a bottle. Their quartino is simply a glass."

  • "Perhaps the best meal I've had there in several visits over the last few years. Had a dish of striped bass over roasted corn and tomatoes. Absolutely fabulous - succulent, juicy, flavorful, smoky. Really cooked to perfection. the veggies were very tasty and could have stood alone as a side dish or appetizer on their own. Our 'tizers of chick pea fritters and grilled calamari, and fried squash blossoms were flavorful and surprising. Dessert was our stand-by toffee cake and an apple-rhubarb tart. It was a truly memorable meal."

My wife and I had dinner there for our 45th anniversary and we received complimentary coffee, dessert, and apertif. We had a great evening not rushed, dinner took 3 hours, everything was how it should be in an unscale restaurant."

By no means the restaurant's fault, but it was the only thing we didn't like about our experience. Attentive service, food was delicious and well-paced (again, appreciated) and were I in Salem again I would happily return."

We shared 3 pasta dishes, and all were woth trying. I favored the papardelle with lobster, my husband the night's special pasta, short rib ravioli. Though not familiar with Salem restaurants, we're guessing that this is among the best."

  • "I have been going to this restaurant for 5 years now and, amazingly enough, it is always a pleasant surprise! Dishes are masterfully prepared! The menu has often new things to offer that along with a few specials make our visit a new dining experience every time! And, if you get to meet Tony, the chef owner, your night will be even more special! It is also a great place for a quick bite at the bar. Jeremy, the bar tender, will satisfy any drink request!"

  • "A really enjoyable dinner again at 62. Will definitely keep them on the short list of local options. Interesting apps, great housemade pastas and sauces, and well-prepared entrees. Not to mention a good wine selection. One thing I miss though is the mortadella app from the early days - but I can see how that would be labor intensive and add to overall costs - perhaps as an occasional special app? In any case, keep up the good work 62 - see you again!"

Beautifully executed entrees.   • "To preface, I went here for their Mother's Day prix fixe menu, though I believe most of the options were on the current menu as well. It was definitely a little chaotic because of this due to a lot of kids being there for a nice meal with mom. I don't think anyone here would ever turn you away with a kid here, but it didn't seem like the type of place that normally be an obviously family spot. The pacing of the courses definitely had some lagging moments, but everything came out so fresh & beyond delicious, that it was worth the slightly longer wait. I can't say enough about how great the food is here. Everything on the menu was in season, too. The wait staff were all kind & helpful. I have already recommended it to friends!"

  • "We went for our anniversary, we asked to not be rushed and for a quite table. The evening was perfect, we got a nice table and the server did not rush us at all. The fresh pasta is amazing and the food complexity is a perfect blend so that you taste the food but you have a wonderful mix of flavors, Kudos to the Chef. "

We particularly enjoyed out two appetizers, the ricotta fritters and the calamari, and the pasta dish with duck and cherries, which was amazing! the waitstaff were all fantastic! In particular I'd like to give a shoutout to our main waitress, Sarah, who was wonderful (maybe the best waitress we've ever had). She helped make our dining experience there a memorable one.   • "Very quiet on an off-season Wednesday night. Low ceilings, dark woods, interesting art on the walls...more a place for wives and lovers than families or sports buddies. Servers are young and learning their skills. The mussel soup was deliciously spiced. I enjoyed that the mussels were already shelled. My wife had the duck with hand rolled pasta. The duck was wonderful. The Pasta slightly al dente for her taste or mine. Wine list reasonably, beers somewhat limited. A nice place to dine."

The excellent menu is refined, and the chef's preperations and presentations first-class! It happened to be my birthday, and this is where I chose to return! It also was Salem Restaurant Weekend, so our meal was drawn from their top-notch sampling menu. We were treated to divine flavors, and left very satisfied."
