Two of us had flatbreads and the other had the burger, and soup. Soup had to be sent back to be heated, but everything was good. We stayed for several hours and our waiter was more than accomodating! Food was delicious as always. We were in the front room which was different but we liked it. They only do brunch on special occasions, but I have been there before for dinner and drinks as well. The food and drinks are always spot on and the drink specials are the best you can get in the city. I mean really - $5 martinis on Saturday and half price bottles of wine on Friday. Where else can you get that? They both said they enjoyed it.1/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was a very pleasant surpriseThis was a very pleasant surprise for us. We had not eaten there in a long time, though we live very close by. The quality of the food and the menu selection has improved dramatically since our last visit. I had the fresh corn soup with country ham croutons and the tuna burger with the spicy slaw. They were both really delicious. My husband had the red fish with red beans and rice, and a friend had the Brussels sprouts caesar salad. Again, very very good.
Our friend wanted her beef burger cooked medium well, and it came out quite rare. She sent it back, and it didn't change much at all. Another friend asked for ice tea. They were out! Sparkling water? No!
