Private Party Facilities: 54 Mint offers several possibilities for large groups and private functions arranged on an individual basis. We are also happy to accommodate large groups within the structure of our nightly seating. We do ask that parties of 14 or more contact our event planner for reservations and prix fixe menu selections.
In addition, you are welcome to take over the entire restaurant with sufficient notice. Our event planner is available to assist in creating a unique event in our warm and inviting atmosphere. Tastings can be arranged with our chef and sommelier to help you define the vision for your party.
We are happy to provide party favors from our exclusive product line.

Public Transit: Mint Plaza is located off of Fifth Street between Market and Mission Streets in San Francisco’s Central Market district. The Plaza is a short distance (approximately 1 block) from the BART/MUNI Powell and Montgomery Street stations. Convenient MUNI bus lines include the 14 Mission, 15 Third, 30 Stockton, 45 Union and all Market Street routes.

"This was a return trip to 54 Mint. It is our favorite Italian restaurant that is an easy walk from the Union Square area. There is a good assortment of choices from a small menu + several nightly specials. There is a nice choice of Italian wines."

"They make all their own pasta which deserves raves from me. I had the gnocchi on the prefix lunch menu, probably the best I've had in a long time. One of the gals had the calamari, which she told us was excellent. (we were a group of six) that had met on a trip to Sicily). The restaurant has a large bar area and looked like a very good selection of wines. We chose this restaurant because it was listed as having Sicilian cuisine. I would definitely go back. Also, 54 mint has a close location to the Powell st Bart station.54"

"Absolutely authentic and wonderful food. We had the Minestrone, Bruschetta, Arancini, Gnocchi Al Ragu, Pennoni alla Carbonara, and Homemade Spaghetti and every dish was amazing.

We made reservations for an early dinner and were the first to be seated downstairs. I couldn't help but feel they seated us there because we had our 8 year old daughter with us. I wish nicer SF restaurant like this wouldn't discriminate against families, especially since our daughter has excellent and mature culinary taste. Despite feeling a bit lonely downstairs, we had a nice dinner and good service. The downstairs area would really benefit from having more candles to make the ambiance nicer and more intimate."

"Great spot -- very, very, very noisy (narrow room, brick walls) -- good menu -- execution was good but frankly I've had much. much better at similarly priced spots (comparing the same dish - carbonara) -- so was satisfied, but a little disappointed. Servers adequate and attentive but a little self-involved and not particularly warm or welcoming. I'll go back for a second chance, but another spot nearby might earn my business - especially if I want to have an conversation without shouting."

"Specials were rabbit pappardelle and artichokes. They were fixed perfectly just as we had them in a restaurant in Rome. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our reservation; but we had wine at the bar. The staff was very apologetic and thanked us for our patience. Definitely worth the wait."
