54 BelowStudio 54 finds a new nicheThis was my first time at studio 54 below. The food, the service, the atmosphere, the music, in a nutshell amazing. My partner and i went based on a recommendation of a friend. I had no idea what to expect and the cabaret shows that evening were sold out so we just grabbed dinner. The place was a wonderful surprise. And the jazZ ensemble was the perfect pairing with dinner. It is def on my list of places I will return to when visiting the big apple. Food prices where perfect for such an elegant place and not out of moderate range. And the servers for us that night were impeccable. Loved it!!!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPure class, 54 Below is tops.Great atmosphere, polite service, amazing food. We loved our experience at 54 Below. We went for pre-theater dinner and the live Jazz music was outstanding, and not so loud that it kept us from conversation. This place is a classic, must go location for Broadway lovers.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMA Home Away From Home54 Below is the Platonic ideal of a Broadway cabaret. Great entertainment combined with an interesting menu and fine food and great service (a recently defunct cabaret failed for food and service and price). Prices reasonable for what you get and what can I say about Barbara Cook?! Sublime. Moving. Great singing, acting, truth telling. Will I go back. Of course. And for many many others as well as every time Barbara Cook takes stage. The decor is delightful (truly full of delight) and is what you get when Broadway talent is designing the room, the lights, the sound, the space.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe absolutely loved this experienceWe absolutely loved this experience. The food was delicious; speak-easy atmosphere was perfect; service was attentive; the band was great.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDuring a recent trip to NewDuring a recent trip to New York we wanted to visit some iconic places so chose 54 below. What we liked: good food, ambiance and live music. The jazz trio during dinner were excellent. We didn't see the main show as we had theatre tickets. What we didn't like: being approached by the head of the Linda Eder fan club for a online review. We were not there for Ms Eder's show and are not fans. That seemed very tacky to be asked this when we were there for a quiet dinner. Also being asked to get up to allow the bass player to get to the stage with his instrument just after being seated. The restaurant was empty when we arrived so why place us in that position? Overall a good night with two unwelcome distractions.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe room is beautiful andThe room is beautiful and the performance lineup amazing. However, they could not locate our reservation at first; apparently there are both dining and performance lists. The service was lackluster. The menu and the room were lovely.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMsurprised @ cabaret had gr8tsurprised @ cabaret had gr8t food and cabaret ditto11/24/2012 12:00:00 AM
