525 at The Berry BurkExcellent service and food.Excellent service and food. Offering the choice of small plate entrees is a very positive thing for me. As more people find what this restaurant has to offer, I believe it will become a favorite with many people. We just need to get the word out with regard to what it offers.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a great evening!!After a long day of meetings this was a great spot for a nice bottle of wine and a light dinner. The wait staff, MATT was amazing and took care to allow us to enjoy the evening but was also just a wonderful addition to the great wine and tasty meal. Plan to go there again and again when in Richmond on business.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMgood food but need to change upMy wife and I have eaten here a couple of times. The food is very good. While there are many choices on the menu, I feel they need to rotate about 5 new items on the menu every month to keep it fresh. The menu hasn't changed since it opened. Maybe that our offer more specials. Service is still to slow or leisurely in my book. Many people dining there are trying to catch a show. Seems to take an hour to eat even if you are just getting a burger. That is to long. Still I like they place a lot.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent! Enjoyed the smallExcellent! Enjoyed the small plate approaching allowing a diner to share and enjoy several entree options.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMA delightful evening at thisA delightful evening at this relatively new restaurant on the downtown Richmond scene. We were very impressed by the food preparations and I particularly like the option of a smaller plate. My husband was very happy to have good New England clam chowder.
We had a good conversation with the manager and were able to address our only negative concern about the restaurant, namely parking. Together we discussed some possibilities and we believe he received our comments in the constructive way that we intended. He plans to follow up on possibilities discussed. We recognized that we were there on a night when parking was a particular problem because of an event across the street at Center Stage.
Excellent addition to Richmond dining.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner and a showThe dinner menu is good but I would not recommend it for smaller children. The wine and bar is stocked just right. Week nights are never crowded. The servers are pleasant and the restaurant is clean!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service, good foodWe had a terrific server named Bailey, she is one of those wonderful servers who never intrude but always seem to be there if you need something! We had a glass of free delicious champagne celebrating 5/25, and everyone was really friendly. The restaurant is really pretty with its big windows and contemporary design! The food is good, not fabulous, but I would definitely keep going back there, as it was better than the first time. I have to say it is the service and the nice people working there that made the experience special!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWow , Great FoodEverything was fantastic! Great food. Great service. Great ambiance. What more is there?5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMmother's dayThe food was well prepared and tasty. The service was excellent. It was a great Mother's Day brunch. It was quiet enough to enjoy a conversation and service was spot on with out being intrusive. Since it was a Sunday morning the streets were not busy so there was no way to tell if the outside noise at other times would be a problem. Definitely a recommendation for brunch.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDowntown gemGreat menu, wine list, and fantastic service. First time we'd visited Berry Burk, and will recommend it to everyone.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed our dinner andWe enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere. We also loved the face that all the entrees could be half size or a full meal.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic Tuesdays. BottleFantastic Tuesdays. Bottle of wine is half price. My waiter remembers every bottle I've had and always has a new suggestion. While the food is most likely the best in RVA, it has proven to be the most consistence. The view ain't too shabby either!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMohhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhWith two young kids, my husband and I don't get to dine out as much as we like. And we have a long list of RVA must-god, so it is hard to choose. But I heard great things about Berry Burke, so I knee we had to try it.Everything from the atmosphere to the service, from the menu to the food was beyond expectation. I ohhhhed over everything starting with the butternut squash fondue app straight through to the bread pudding and 20-year-old port. I was blown away. And that isn't easy to do.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful restaurant! TheWonderful restaurant! The drinks and food are amazing! When we step into the restaurant, we thought we were in New York. Will come again!!!!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food, good service, emptyMy husband and I went on a Wednesday evening so perhaps that accounted for the lack of bar scene and empty dining room. There were only two other tables of diners, and one lone person at the bar. Nevertheless, the food was delicious (I had the scallops and risotto). I might try it again on a busier night.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMInteresting menu. Waiter wasInteresting menu. Waiter was very mindful to balance gracious service with curtain time at CenterStage following dinner.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMTruly a very pleasant diningTruly a very pleasant dining experience on a rainy Easter afternoon. Our waitress and the entire staff were most efficient. Sunday brunch menu had adequate options. Look forward to a return visit.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGood lunch spot for downtown.Good lunch spot for downtown. Interesting menu. Try the soup of the day with the no so traditional BLT.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for dinner on a whimWe went for dinner on a whim last Saturday and it was a lovely experience. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable! The filet with chèvre mashed potatoes was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were fluffy and flavorful! We ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert and it was decadent! It was quieter than we' have guessed for a Saturday but that was okay. A lovely evening all around.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMSurprisingly greatSurprisingly good. Place was slammed for the theater crowd when we arrived but cleared out after 7:30 p.m. We had a long leisurely dinner and the waiter was great. Didn't pester us and didn't ignore us either. Can't recall the gentleman's name but one of the better waiters we have experienced in Richmond. We were sat at their peack capacity with a bunch of people getting checks to catch the sympohony across the street at 8:00 p.m. so the waitstaff was utterly slammed. Surprisingly, we didn't get ignored during the big rush. Food was fantastic. Sort of tapas style where portions are half entree sizes. Lots of seafood. We had the mussels, sea scallops and pork ribeye with their delicious pear salad. Great experience3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLocated directly across fromLocated directly across from the Carpenter Center, it was very easy to stop here after a show. The place was hopping, the noise level was high, but we still felt like we could hear each other. We had the ahi tuna and a couple of salads which were outstanding, a meal in themselves.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat location for eveningGreat location for evening at the Carpenter Center. Our party of five had a marvelous evening and we'll definately be back!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
