520 Bar & Grill claim to have the best burger in Bellevue; maybe on Bellevue Main Street. It was more like average. The food presentation looks like a kid assembled it like it was just thrown on a plate. Our server even sat down at the table next to us and chatted it up with a customer/friend/acquaintance. At least when she did come to our table she was nice and friendly. It's saving grace was the outdoor dining that is probably the biggest outdoor dining area in downtown Bellevue.

Unlike the other reviewers, we had great service but the food was just bad. My burger was suppose to be fresh ground but the fake grill marks and round patty was a dead giveaway. The mushy middle and lack of texture on the edges tells me it was microwaved and not flame grilled at all. My friend's breakfast was obviously not made to order as the french toast was limp and soggy and the eggs had no body. Even our neighboring table complained that her caesar salad had no dressing or cheese and the lettuce was wilting from the steaming, over microwaved chicken on top. On the bright (albeit shallow) side, every waitresses here could definitely place in Maxim's hot 100! Somebody please call Gordon Ramsey to fix the kitchen!!

I didn't think too much when I read the other reviews that the place was loud. I got inside and realized I really should have. I was still able to hear the conversation between me and my friend, but it was a bit challenging at first, when we got there at around 7:30pm. The food and service were great. I got the pound of mussels, and it was reasonably priced.

This is definitely a place for happy hour but not for a quiet dinner. It is very much a pub, with pub food and lively drinking and a noise level to match, even on a Sunday. The martinis were excellent but the food selection was somewhat limited. Not a place for a romantic or special dinner, but great for party time.

Worst hostess I've ever encountered. Rude, inconsiderate and unapologetic with an attitude. She failed to tell me when the table was ready seating multiple people ahead of me even though I had a reservation and then said she couldn't find me when I was 2 feet from her and said, sorry you'll have to wait, we are full. Unbelieveable and rude and dingy all at the same time. AVOID. Waste of time for food that is so so. The only positive here is the patio on a nice day. This is my 3rd time to this place and I have no intention of ever returning.

After a long, but successful client presentation, the team wanted to celebrate at a casual restaurant with a local twist and we happened upon 520 Bar and Grill. It is on a busy downtown neighborhood street with lots of activity. The staff was accommodating and offered good dining and drink suggestions. The feel is definitely more bar than restaurant so it had a lively, warm feel to the space. All of our food was very good from the salmon, to the mussels to my flat iron steak. I definitely would recommend for a nice neighborhood spot.

The bar is noisy but outside was quite pleasant. As it got dark they lit the heaters and kept us warm. My date was an hour late and they let me just sit there at a premium outside table and drink water while I waited impatiently. Busy place. Easy to make reservations for outside but make them for 15 min before you really need them and show up early to make sure you get a spot.

Managed to make a last minute reservation for lunch. The sun was just coming out, so no one had taken any of the outdoor tables. By the time we were done with our lunch, all outdoor tables were full. If it is a nice day in Bellevue and you want to enjoy lunch outside, the 520 Bar & Grill is a nice spot to do this. The service is also friendly, and I can't believe they didn't try to rush us out of our sunny seats :).The Lamb Burger was delicious!!!

We had been wanting to try 520 Bar & Grill for some time now and decided to take advantage of a sunny day to go for lunch and sit outside. We were not disappointed! The outdoor seating along the sidewalk was great for people watching while enjoying the spring sunshine. Our server was very genuine and attentive, and took the extra step by bringing a glass of ice cubes to help cool down freshly brewed ice tea and rounded up some bread for us which isn't usually available. He helped recommend favorite items on the menu and he was right on! The food was outstanding and had reasonable portion sizes. I'm so glad we were finally able to experience 520 Bar & Grill and look forward to coming back soon - especially to enjoy the outdoor seating.

We were there for almost 3 hours, she didn't even take our drink order until we had been waiting for 45 minutes and we had to flag her down. Everything was great including service, fast seating, menu choice, but when we received our food it was just mediocre. We definitely were not expecting that. It was our first view. The food was good. Better than typical pub grub. A couple in our group loved the soup. Our group split with some ordering brunch and others lunch. Nice to have flexibility on the menu. The service was attentive but not smothering. The restaurant was cold, we asked twice if the temp could be raised but we were told that it is all computerized and the staff could not adjust it. As we were leaving, the place was filling up with football fans. Seems like a great neighborhood spot to watch a game.
