Lunch at 51Fifteen was lovely - we
went on a weekday and it was relatively quiet though not empty. There was enough people to have atmosphere but despite the larger room it still felt intimate and private. The food was pretty good, basic fair for lunch and I'm sure they do excellent and slightly finer dining during dinner or if you choose one of their more main entrées. We had a salad and a sandwich both of which were well presented and very tasty. Sometimes a well executed basic is the best sign of excellence. Service was unobtrusive and therefore good in my books. I will definitely be back. Prices were also reasonable given it was a nicer establishment."

Really enjoyed celebratingy
birthday here. Good was good. Service was good. Dessert was the best part (carrot cake that is)"
Dined on 6/29/2014
It was my birthday and the waiter
brought out a complimentary bread pudding that was fantastic. Great service"
Dined on 6/15/2014
Food is excellent. Waitstaff can
be more attentive. Piano player is too loud. Difficult to carry out a conversation with our friends when we want to have a quiet relaxing dinner"

Jose Luis, the waiter was lovely.
The hostess, don't know her name was bubbly & friendly. The food, OK. Not mind blowing but not bad. My main complaints. The place was dead for a Friday night, only about 7 tables were occupied. 4 of the tables had NOISY kids. There was a birthday part of some sorts so one table was JUST kids while the parents sat at another table. At least two other tables with noisy minors at their table. Music was LOUD. Between the noisy kids & loud music we came home with a headache & $250 poorer. Let's just say no plans to go back there in the near future."

Looking for a nice place with good
food for my wife's 1st Mother's Day. She also wanted bottomless mimosas. Awesome food and service. Killer desserts and...bottomless mimosas. 3 course meal for $45 each and $12 mimosas. They also gave us an extra chair for our 5 month old daughter to sit her car seat in. Definitely going back."

The food at 51Fifteen was really
good! My only complaint would be the restrooms. They were dirty and the toilets didn't flush. It was very unappetizing after such a great meal."

First time here with my fiance and
we enjoyed everything. The food was delicious and staff was very attentive."
Dined on 4/26/2014
The ambience, the staff, the
service and the food - great! They put the originally off the menu gumbo on the menu and it's excellent!"

Nice restaurant -- classy dining,
quiet, good food, good service, not too pricey, great location, no reservation difficulties, and very versatile for a casual night of dining to special occasion/romantic dining."
Dined on 4/22/2014
I was looking for a romantic
anniversary dinner and for the most part this fit the bill. Food and service were very good. Only complaint was cold coffee. It got a little loud as we were finishing and a large group was coming in but since we were headed out anyway not a big deal. Would definitely recommend and revisit this restaurant. Oh and BEST lobster bisque I've ever had. "
Dined on 4/17/2014
We arrived on time and were seated
promptly The waiter was attentive but not overbearing Food was outstanding Wine was delicious A very nice experience"

Beautiful decoration, great
ambiance, delicious lunch and quiet."

I took some coworkers from out of
town to this restaurant. They were immediately impressed by the ambiance due to the live music playing when we arrived. The food was really good and our waiter made an excellent wine recommendation when what we wanted was out of stock. It's been many years since I've been here but I'll definitely be coming back soon with my in town family and friends."

Celebrated my mothers 45th
Birthday dinner and she had an amazing time! She was so pleased with the experience and she raved about the sweet potato she had with her salmon. It was good to see my mother happy and any place that is makes her happy makes me happy as well! And bonus points for Latin international night. We danced the night away!"

I have been here many times. Great
go to. Hostess was wonderful however the table service was poor. Waiter had no knowledge of the menu and never came back to check on anything. We had to flag him down every time, and believe me our requests were simple...can we have some water? May my guest please have the cocktail he ordered 20 mins ago? I had clients and I was embarrassed."

Daughter visiting from NYC and her
best friend (Houstonian) met me at 5115 for lunch to celebrate friend's birthday. It is a tradition we started many years ago and 5115 has never disappointed us! The atmosphere, service, and food were of the highest quality. Besides celebrating friend's birthday, my daughter announced her pregnancy. It was the perfect location to enjoy good food and excellent service to help us celebrate milestones and good news!!! This restaurant NEVER disappoints!"

This restaraunt is perfect for a
lunch or dinner. The lunch menu is reasonably priced and the service is excellent. The food is delicious. It's perfect if you wanna impress a date or treat someone to a birthday lunch or something. I enjoy it each time I visit."
Dined on 2/14/2014
The food was good but it's not
something you would say "WOW". Our waiter is like from the pool hall not in fancy restaurant. All night they are bringing food in the wrong table."
Dined on 2/14/2014
We had a wonderful time, our
waiter was extremely cordial and did not push or hurry us. The ambiance was very nice and pleasant. We Found the wine list very small."
Dined on 2/14/2014
It took forever to get seated like
2 hours and I serve 1 seat. Than no choices of mix drinks. The place had a live band and the host and managers so nice. But it should have never took so long."
Dined on 2/15/2014
I was confused where do I go on
the valentine day with my wife. But 51 Fifteen was the best choice I made. I booked my table almost 2 weeks ahead. They welcome us with a red rose and a complementary card for my wife from Saks fift. The 3-course minu was diverse, and for us (sea food lovers) we enjoyed it very much. We loved their sea bass dish. It was tender, juicy. The Godiva chocolate cake was an absolute pleasure, divine. And we witnessed a proposal. It was a real romantic dinner."
Dined on 2/14/2014
My date and I really enjoyed our
dining experience. I booked a reservation on Open Table and said that I wanted a table next to the window. When we arrived to 51fifteen that night, we were seated by the window. So my request was granted. The food was tasty and the ambience was stunning. I definitely would recommend this venue for dinner or just for a nice evening out with friends and/or family for a drink... :-)"
Dined on 2/7/2014
I enjoy 51Fifteen, and the service
was attentive but not intrusive. The daily special asparagus soup was amazing, but I was disappointed in the fish special. It was the sort of fish that should have been fully cooked. It was nicely charred on the outside, but overall not very warm, which detracted."

When making reservations for a
monthly lunch out, I had no idea where this restaurant was. Upon arriving we discovered it to be on the second floor of Saks Fifth Avenue. From the moment we walked in we fell in love with it. It was very attractive, quiet, food was wonderful and service was exceptional! We have already recommended it to our friends. This one definitely goes on our "will return" list."

Very surprised to find this
restaurant is part of SFA and can only be accessed through SFA. It's hard to find the entrance, which is by elevator in a corner of SFA. Once there it was very quiet - apart from the very nice jazz saxophone, which was really the best part. Food and service were ok - not top notch, but ok. We decided to try this rather than a repeat visit to Oceanaire next door but one. Overall acceptable but a bit quirky."

In my open table reservation I
requested a table by the window. I got there early and the hostess offered a table 3 from the window. I indicated that I wanted to sit closer to the window and she sighed. She then offered me a table the next table back...still 3 from the window. I assumed that she had other requests. When I left an hour later, 2 of the prime 3 tables were still empty. Since I was already unhappy, there was not much that was going to change the experience. While my service was ok. I was facing the bar. Every time I looked up at least 3 waiters were in the bar chatting and watching TV. There are lots of choices in the area."

Took a business client here for
dinner, and it was all very good. Good food and service, and great atmosphere for conversation. My only recommendation is that they need some choices for Vegetarians. They had no Veggie options for appetizers (veggie spring rolls have chicken broth). All in all, very nice experience and you will enjoy."

I have been here so many times,
even before when it was Ruggles. The menu is very similar as is much of the staff. This last visit had a jazz musician playing, very nice. Normally, it is a pianist, always treasured. My guests enjoyed an assortment of items from the menu and all were quite pleased. I insist on the Acapulco Ceviche, if you love lump crab the restaurant actually serves lump crab, not tiny little slivers like most. There has been no where in my travels as of yet that serves such an excellent fresh ceviche. It is huge so expect to share this fab menu item or order it as your entree. The restaurant also serves a Peruvian Ceviche it too is out of this world! Almost forgot, both are served with lightly fried plantains. YUM!"

I came with a friend and I had the
bacon wrapped filet mignon. It was delicious and tender. The service was great, and we were seated promptly. The server was nice and made good recommendations."

I love this place!!! I love the
environment, and the food is GREAT!!!!"

A beautiful restaurant that is
quiet and suitable for conversation. The presentation of the plates was exceptional. My crepes were a little dry but looked beautiful."
Dined on 11/18/2013
Very comfortable ambience. Food
was delicious. Three of us enjoyed the chicken and mushroom crepes. The service was very good but not intrusive. We could take our time and could have a nice conversation without yelling. It was my birthday and they comped my dessert. Very nice. Would definitely return and will also go for dinner with my husband. Very pleasant experience."

Happened to be there on their once
monthly "international night" that had a Latin band. What a great time! Highly recommend 51Fifteen."
Dined on 11/9/2013
The restaurant was a little on the
pricey side, but the taste of the food was quite delicious!"
Dined on 11/8/2013
Great food, service and
atmosphere. Try the specials, fantastic."
Dined on 11/6/2013
The restaurant was not crowded at
all. It is kind of difficult to get to if you don't know it is located inside of Saks Fifth Avenue store in the Galleria, upper level. However, if you go into Saks (facing Westheimer), there is an elevator with "Fifteen" above it. Take that, and it makes it easier to find the restaurant. Service is outstanding. Food is excellent. Ambience is wonderful! Sit in a booth or table and listen to the beautiful sax jazzy type romantic music or sit near the window for the same plus the view. Love the red wall! Great experience!"
Dined on 10/12/2013
There are two kinds on the menu, I
can't recall which one I had this time, it has fresh sliced jalapenos I have been here so many times and always start with a ceviche, light and perfect about of lime, not drown in tomato sauce like most do. The lump crab is actually that ,lump sweet crab. I had the seafood salad which had a giant perfectly removed lobster claw and large shrimp. The dressing was light and great crumbled feta cheese. The staff is outstanding, the management is attentive overseeing the dining room. The piano player is fantastic. The most flavorful Bloody Mary. Fresh horseradish, this cocktail is a meal in itself. There is something for everyone on the menu, going for lunch you most likely to see a intimate fashion show."

Went to lunch with a client,
everything was great - ambience, service, food. We can't wait to return."
