Our halibut was a very small piece with a few sprinkles of pecans and a HUGE mountain of mashed potatoes next to it. It was overcooked and therefore, dry. Our friends steaks were tasty but the mushroom sauce was not as good as normal. I just wonder if they had an inexperienced chef in that night.

My party and I were new to the area and, therefore, this was our first visit to the 4th Street Chophouse. The host and server were very friendly and provided exceptional customer service with our dining. We had salmon, which was prepared just right. Even the complimentary bread, with sweet butter, was warm and tasty. The atmosphere was very comfortable, with an early 20th century décor. A pleasant experience.

I celebrated my birthday at the chop house and I have been there approximately 3-4 other times. I always have the same complaint. Is it that hard to pair a salad or a vegetable with my expensive plate for no extra charge? Other than that, the meal was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. Where's the veggies???????

This is our second trip to the 4th Street Chop house and it will not be the last. Our waiter was excellent. Our food was perfect and the atmosphere was great. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the staff made it a point to ask if we were celebrating anything. Once they found out, the staff all signed a card and brought it to our table. A very nice touch.

Everything was great EXCEPT my Cucumber Martini. I think it should have had a sugar rim. It seemed just a little on the sour side. I didn't really taste any cucumber in the drink -- I have had very good ones at Generations and also at Next Door when a man bartender was there. He no longer works at the next door. I am not be-rating the bartender or the restaurant but my ciucumber Martinis are very special to me. Your wait staff looks very professional but the young women look a little too "casual" for their greeting duties.

Found this gem while visiting son in Loveland. Were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and restaurant treated us to special dessert. Wife enjoyed the filet; the flavor was awesome and you could cut it with a fork. My scallops skewers were excellent, as was my son's surf & turf. Service was excellent and we highly recommend. Note: Sunday special currently is buy two entrees and get a bottle of wine, free! Located downtown with ample parking. Enjoy!

Our friends from Frankfurt, Germany were visiting Colorado on vacation and we brought them to the 4th Street Chophouse for dinner after visiting Grimm Brothers Brewhouse. My wife and I are regulars here and wanted to share one of our favorite restaurants with our international friends. The food was excellent, the service outstanding, and the ambiance was great as always with the jazz music playing softly in the background. Another wonderful dining experience here!

My wife and I were celebrating our fist anniversary. Both of us had been here before, and because of that chose this restaurant for the romantic ambiance and excellent cuisine. The wait staff was exceptional and we enjoyed our time there immensely. The free bottle of wine (with purchase of two entrees, Sundays only) helped. Do not go on a budget. The meals are fairly high priced, with $45 for a rib-eye steak (sans salad but includes delicious garlic mashed potatoes) being a good example. Visitors often bemoan the lack of parking in downtown Loveland, but if you give yourself a little extra time it's worth the effort. You will find a place to park and walking around downtown Loveland is a treat, even in the winter.

This place was overall great. The food was fantastic and service was good. My wife and I like going for a nice dinner and don't mind the cost if the food is good. The lamb was amazing however I wouldn't suggest the shrimp cocktail. It was over priced at almost ten dollars for four little shrimp that were just thrown on a plate. It wasn't the jumbo shrimp like most places serve and presentation means a lot but here they just tossed four little shrimp on a plate. So that was the only disappointing part about dinner.

The wait staff was very friendly and courteous. Unfortunately our steaks were a little over cooked, which is not the norm. The rest of the food was, as usual, extremely delicious. When we pointed out that the steaks were a little over done, they deducted an entire entree from our tab. We had no complaints after that! Did I say the service was great?

As a couple who frequents many restaurants throughout the year, we continue to feel the 4th Street Chophouse is the best in Northern CO and this last visit only strengthened our belief. Our server, Jennifer, and the cook, David, were wonderful. David came out to make sure our food was excellent and was very pleasant. Jennifer made sure we were well taken care of, but not in a bothering way. She is top-notch. Her demeanor (personality, looks, and serving skills) cannot be beat.
