A word from 4th & Swift
Atlanta chef, Jay Swift, brings his passion and creative interpretation of seasonal comfort food to 4TH & Swift. Occupying the space that was formerly the engine room to Southern Dairies, the restaurant retains many of the original elements. Exposed brick, concrete and beams are
updated with contemporary accents such as warm woods, rich fabrics and brushed white metals.

At 4th & Swift, Chef/Owner Jay Swift has created a new level in the evolution of the dining scene here in Atlanta. Jay’s culinary focus is one based on the advancement of Southern cuisine; for Jay Southern is less about reinventing regional classics than inventing new ones using regional and local products.

One of the real pleasures of dining out is sharing a favorite restaurant with friends who have not had the opportunity to dine there.. and so it is with 4th and Swift. A recent dinner with a close family friend's daughter and her boyfriend once again did not fail to please. The consistency and quality of the food and service is so high, that I have friends who insist on dining at 4th & Swift every time they visit Atlanta. Thanks to you all for making a choice of restaurants to share with family and friends so stress free!

Had the tobacco road cocktail. If you like old fashioned this is a must try. We had the beignets for an appetizer, gnocchi for an entrée and warm apple crisp for dessert. No complaints about anything. It was all delicious. One of the best restaurants in Atlanta.

Since they change the menu daily--the small plate choices on the day we went did not match my palate for that evening. I went with friends who decided we would order small plates and share. I will certainly go back but may check the menu first. The beverage for the evening--watermelon, mint, lemon bitters and tequila was the best drink I have had in a while.

And there's always something new and yummy on the menu, so you never get tired of going. We want one of everything every time we go. The sticky toffee pudding is life altering.

Apart from a noise level higher than our middle-aged ears would like, everything else was outstanding! The wine/spirits list is fantastic. My rum drink might've been the best drink I've had in years, and the fried okra was divine! The service was also very good as he was attentive but not overbearing and was also really knowledgeable about the food and drink. Thankfully!

The best: The decor / atmosphere: It was really inside and you can tell the original structure of the place was still in tack. It reminded me a little bit of a New York Loft. The worst: This great gem of restaurant extremely hard to find the entrance. I drove around it twice and so did my friend. It needs more markings

We celebrated my husband's birthday there recently. The experience was absolutely superb. The manager came over immediately to greet us and to tell our server what drinks we might want. Our server was on point, she was very knowledgeable about the drinks and menu and all their components. None of it was read off a card, she knew it all and knew it well. The cocktail menu was innovative, none of the same old choices. We chose the Chef's tasting with the wine pairing which was phenomenal! In addition, after finding out it was a birthday dinner, they sent out an extra little dessert on top of the one that came with the dinner and a little extra Tokaj since I finished mine a little too early. Can't say enough about this place!! DO GO!

My husband and I had been here before and this time I went with a friend. My husband got their three little pigs entree that they're supposedly famous for and did not like it. I thought it was just him but my friend got it and sent it back. Then he got the grouper and again, completely unimpressed. I had the corn soup app and it was great - just tiny. The deconstructed BLT app was good, as was the tomato salad, and the peach crisp for dessert was really amazing. My problem with this place is how little you get for how expensive it is. And how miss-miss their entrees seem to be. It's not bad, just never wins out over the countless better options in Atlanta. Right now, it would not even make my top 10 for recommendations.

It was so loud we could not have a conversation. Tried this place once before and was disappointed but it was new and read all the reviews and thought it must now be great! Was shocked at such uninspired food.Fish overcooked, dry, uninteresting sauces. They sounded good but not well executed. Pretty bar . Server seemed friendly but disengaged. Place was empty except bar was overcrowded with very loud event. If they told us there was an event we would have passed. Water guy spelled water all over us and did not apologize or offer to clean until we flagged down server. Food took forever .Small piece of fish for too much money. WE eat out alot all over USA ,Europe This was boring, overpriced .

This was our first visit to 4th & Swift. We dined for Brunch. The food was creative and delicious. The Bread Basket is a must with pastries, muffins and breads. A wonderful start to the meal. Orange Juice is freshly squeezed and a sweet, but healthy treat. French Toast and the "Counter", an egg dish, were enjoyable entrees. The decor has character and is lovely. The service is wonderful. The Server, Megan, is delightful. She is warm and friendly and helpful. She made the dining experience delightful. A word of caution - while the restaurant has floor to ceiling drapery separating the dining room from the area for group functions, avoid sitting in the area bordering it. When a group is having a function, it is noisy.

I hadn't been to 4th & Swift in years, but decided to give it a try again because several of my friends and I walk the Beltline now on a regular basis. After a brisk walk from Piedmont Park, we had worked up an appetite for brunch--and we were NOT disappointed! The pastry/bread basket was excellent--I understand the pastry chef was of late from General Muir. I had the soft poached eggs with pastrami hash, and my husband had the pork schnitzel with spaetzl. Truly delicious, and the portion size was NOT overwhelming, a fact we appreciated. Service was excellent--turns out the server was a former client of mine, and it was great to reconnect. She was so attentive and comp'd us the bread basket. We shall return!

Celebrated my husband's birthday here with an early (6p.m.) reservation on a Sat. night. I chose this restaurant based on reviews and bloggers. From the moment we arrived, service was friendly, professional and prompt. We loved the Valet - a Georgia Tech engineering student. As recommended, the Octopus appetizer was outstanding! Each of us selected different appetizers, entrees and desserts and all were delicious. Even after ordering desserts, the restaurant surprised my husband with a small birthday dessert plate complete with candle. We were looking for something relatively close to Georgia Tech because our son is a student there and we were picking him up. This was very convenient and made for a memorable evening. Will do again!

I went into the dining experience excited for the 'Three Little Piggies'. We started off with the octopus and calamari, and my gosh. The octopus was cooked to perfection, well prepared, it was delectable. The calamari was a pasta dish, very intriguing, well prepared, although I hoped for a small bit more of calamari. Perhaps this overhyped my excitement for the next dishes, because my three little piggies left me wanting for something else. Quite frankly, it was rather poor, the meat was not very tender (pretty tough) and aside from a small piece of sauce lined to the dishes' side that made the meat taste a bit better, it was fairly disappointing. Sticky toffee for dessert was a novel take, a bit weird but delicious. Drinks were excellent.

Ended up here because first two choices of restaurants had no tables - and turned out to be a good thing. Overall the experience was most enjoyable. Thought the menu to be original and well done. The service was attentive, although the kitchen was obviously woefully behind in getting food on the tables. The waiter and manager acknowledged the delay. Our waiter was most helpful as one of the party had the prix fixe menu, with the other three opting for items off the menu. He managed to coordinate the differing courses, with everything coming together well.

I have twice dined as a party of 4 recently where we all ordered the tasting menu with paired wines, and everyone was delighted both times. The price of $100 ($65 without the wines) is a a great value. We also love the outdoor dining, which is spacious, roofed and on a quiet parking lot. I suspect we will return often.

This was our fifth or sixth visit to 4th and Swift plus we brought along out of town guests. As always, the food and service were exceptional! Our whole table ordered the Tasting Menu this time and we were stuffed at the end. Each dish was great. What we love most about this place is their willingness to tweak some of the plates to best suit our (my) picky palate. Even after forgetting to tell them of a shellfish allergy until the first dish arrived, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to cook another plate in fresh oil. Just cannot say enough good things about them and our server Payton was very patient and had a smile the whole time. Will definitely be back soon!

We went after viewing the Dream Cars exhibit at the High for an early dinner. The restaurant was not crowded, but the bar had quite a few patrons. We ordered the Heirloom Tomato salad - a huge yum! I had the vegetable plate - two of the four were outstanding - the succotash and the eggplant frittes. Other two ok, just not my cup of tea. We ordered wine by the glass recommended by the waiter. We did not like it (fizzy). He gladly exchanged it for the other label. Very good restaurant. Will return.
