When we came to the valet parking, it took them 15 - 20 minutes to get our car; it was parked about 100 feet from the entrance while it was raining. When we got into the car, the passange side seat was totally out of position, GPS wasn't working and we even found location that we didn't know about on our GPS. The added bonus to the ambience was the fantastic food. Every small plate was wonderful, especially the clams and the filet mignon. The drinks were perfectly made, the wine was very good, and the service was prompt and very friendly. Our hostess was thoughtful and saw we asked for a romantic table. She told us to hold off on the next seating bc and even better table was coming. It was in a nook- cozy and romantic - yet we could hear the great music coming from the bar. Just the right noise level- so we could talk. We had such a beautiful view of the city- and the cocktails were a awesome- especially the Morgan!!! The Arugala salad was deliciously dressed. We absolutely loved the Rigatoni seafood dish- it was amazing! I had the Tiger Prawn special. I'm craving it right now. The seasoning was perfect- it could be the most delicious thing I ate. The view is stunning. we were there at sunset and the food was great. We brought along our 9-year old daughter. Although this is probably not the typical place for kids she was treated like a princess and was very happy with the lemon spaghetti with smoked scallops. I celebrated my birthday. Overall it was a great experience. It was a Wed. evening so the restaurant was not very busy which
made for a very peaceful dining experience. I had the jumbo prawn special which was delicious. I had the Oysters Casino which were presented beautifully and then the Arroz con Pato , a juicy breast of duck with red forbidden rice. My husband had the pea risotto and then the Spain vs USA a pork dish made with two very different flavors that complemented each other well. Everything was cooked perfectly. Service was very knowledgeable and attentive. It's definitely the perfect place for a special occasion. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. Service was outstanding, food was good. Our skirt steak was not cooked according to request...too rare on one order, too well on the other. The steak was tough and chewy. Appetizers were very good, dessert excellent. One question: why don't they ask if you want coffee or tea until AFTER you finish dessert? This has happened in many other upscale restaurants, including 42. Main dishes and first plates were flavorful, simple and varied. Pea soup was cold which on balance I would've preferred as hot, particularly as the day was cold. Not sure why kitchen doesn't simply adapt. Wait staff was perfect, personable but not intrusive, and flexible under pressure due to boom in diners during promotional week. The ambiance is modern board room, and at some level it has a corporate expense account feel that is mitigated by the warm staff. What makes it to the plate is well thought out and executed. Quite a different perspective when seen at this wonderful restaurant. I took my son there for his birthday and we enjoyed the food and excellent service. The desserts were scrumptious.
