A word from 410 Bank Street
A winding slate path through overhanging vines and tropical foliage leads to the historic 1840 Carriage house. Slowly spinning ceiling fans stir the aromas of French-New Orleans accented cooking and fresh seafood and steaks grilling over mesquite. Envision yourself in New Orleans or Key West. Dining in the canopied garden, or on the candlelit veranda, the dream continues with the exotic cuisine of internationally acclaimed Chef Henry Sing Cheng, whose original creations include local-caught tuna, swordfish and mahi-mahi in fabulous sauces, elaborate entrees of local shellfish & lobster, and the justly famous smoked, grilled and blackened steaks and prime rib. Beyond the menu, a dozen or more seafood specials are offered nightly. The helpful staff, coolly attired in 410's signature tropical batik, makes you feel like you are dining on a private yacht. One of ZAGAT™s "AMERICA'S TOP RESTAURANTS 2012." Please call restaurant directly for parties larger than 6. (609) 884-2127Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "The food is wonderful. They really cramp you in. The service varies. It is expensive. It hasn't changed in 20 years and should consider freshening things up a little bit. Did I mention the food is wonderful?"

  • "The food, what there was available, was good. The issue was the restaurant was closing the next day so many of the items we were looking forward to trying were no longer available so my review is most probably not commensurate with the restaurants reputation. The woman who greeted us couldn't have been nicer. The service was on par. I guess it is diappointing to keep letting the diners know that what they want isn't on the menu. I would suggest that if the restaurant is operating on a 'clean the fridge out' basis the prices should be adjusted as for that evening as well. For example the both steak dishes I was interested in were at a $38 pricepoint; the remaining prime rib was $49, offering it in lieu of would have been nice."

  • "What a rip-off! Steak was $50. Not prime. Not good. However, i should disclose that my dog enjoyed it. The Jambalaya was not authentic, not even close. Very bland. Seafood was previously frozen and the seasoning sauce seemed to come from a can."

  • "The food and service were outstanding, we sat outside under the cabana and it was fine regardless of the horrible weather that we had. Only knock is that some of the tables are just too close together, hard to have a private conversation."

  • "My wife had the sea bass which was done perfectly. My bank street steak could not have been better. The homemade steak sauce was a perfect compliment. Highly recommend!"

  • "I think it's actually a couple years longer, but would not want to exaggerate, but twice a year we travel to Cape May for a few overnights and always go to 410 at least one evening for dinner if not two. Consistently among the best food in Cape May, imho. Classic seafood dishes with a Cajun flair and nothing frou-frou about it ... which is exactly how we like it!"

  • "Used to be this was the "Cat's Meow" but I am over it. The ambiance is so lacking that I don't care if the food is good. Which it is mind you, but there are so many other options in Cape May for great food and good atmosphere."

  • "Another outstanding evening in Cape May as far as fine dining is concerned. Luke was very accommodating, and the entire staff was lovely. My appetizer was so unbelievably delicious (tomato/avocado/crab), I didn't want it to end!!"
