Located in the spacious, open lobby of the Merchant's Laclede building, our urban grille takes advantage of our location by placing diners in an elevated corner of the hotel’s atmospheric charm.

"Overall, we had a great experience. The dining area is situated in the rear of the otherwise open lobby area- which I found to be nice in terms of interesting people watching.

The food was very good- menu selection was good... entrees were more exciting than you would expect from an average quality place."

  • "We went to 400 Olive thinking is was going to be typical hotel food. The chicken I had was delicious and the pasta my boyfriend had was fantastic! Our server, Nathan, was very good and the manager, Chris was also very friendly and went out of his way to see that everything was good. I would highly recommend this restaurant. They are re-doing it and we will be back in May!"

  • "The weather was extremely cold and the valet parking was full. I was forced to drop my date off at the front door while I drove around for ten minutes or more to search for parking. My date and I had seating in the back corner of the restaurant and had to request to be moved. The restaurant was serving dinner from a Valentine’s Day Menu and refused to deviate from the menu to accommodate my date’s food allergies. The bar was still serving food from the regular menu however because we sat in the restaurant we were unable to access the menu. We asked to speak to the chef but after twenty minutes of waiting, we chose to go to another restaurant."

  • "While there was free valet parking, I had to go find the valet for him to take my car. Bad start. Then, even though we had reservations, there was nobody at the hostess desk. We went into the restaurant and there was absolutely no staff. Nobody was in the restaurant ataall. We walked around hoping some hotel staff might say something or a restaurant staff night show up. after 5 minutes, we tried going to the bar area. While there were people there, nobody even said hello. After 10 minutes of trying to get someone's attention, we decided to leave. This was my husband's birthday dinner so we were very disappointed. We ended up at a great restaurant down the street but I will be spreading the bad opinion about this restaurant."

  • "It's not really even a restaurant. Just a few tables in the hotel lobby. It as empty on a busy Friday night with thousands of people in town for some major events. What a disappointment."
