We went during restaurant week. Clearly this restaurant was not prepared. We arrived 6:45 for 7:00 reservation and were told the dining room was recently seated; we would have to go outdoors. I did not request outdoor dining. It took our server over 15 min to bring us menus. Drink order took 20 min. At this point we should have left because service never improved. 1st course took 30 min to arrive; 1st and 2nd courses were brought at the same time. Entrees took 30 min to arrive. Other groups were seated outside and left when no server appeared. Overall it was a frustrating evening. Clearly this restaurant needs to work on their service. If we would have read other people's reviews first we would have not chosen this restaurant.

Picked restraunt on style of menu they had. The shrimp appitizer was good. I had the gettysburger and that was ok but I ordered medium well and it came out raw. Dessert I had cheesecake which was ok. The device was beyond I've ever seen. Got seated and sat for at least 20 minutes until someone came over to ask us if we wanted anything. After we ordered it took 45minutes to get our food. I was lunch home but not very crowded. It also seemed that other customers in the restraunt were having the same problems we were having. We finally had dessert and left after 2 hours just yo have lunch. We should have just walked our after the first 20 minutes.

The 4 course menu was great. My girlfriend & I were very excited when we saw the menu. We were immediately seated & served our drinks. We had viewed the menu outside prior to being seated so the server was able to take our order right away. We must have waited 25 mins. for our first course which was maryland crab soup. They kept promising our next meal would be out shortly, but that was another 20 mins. for 2 beer battered shrimp. Other guest who came in after us were being served before us. Others servers tried to step in to take our orders & often brought us other peoples food. In all, we were at the restaurant 2 hours. It was very chaotic and unorganized. I don't think they were prepared for the restaurant week crowd.

My husband and I were so excited to try a new resturant. We got a sitter and drove over from NJ. From the time we sat down we knew this was going to be a problem. They are known for having 13 beers on draft and 13 in cans - the waiter came over an crossed out more than half of them. The beer we did order was flat and actually expired. We watched as people got up and walked away without paying. Service so horrible. 30 minutes inbeteeen courses - included waiting for two cups of soup! Our actual dinner order was wrong. The manager was walking around apologizing to tables, that hadn't left yet but never came to us, even as we tried waving them over. Horrible service. Food was ok. Will never go back again after a three hour meal

I planned a small surprise dinner with our children and grandchildren for my husband's birthday. Our reservations were at 6:30pm. When we arrived we could tell they were really busy. We placed our water and drink order. That took 15 minutes, just to get water. By 7:50pm only 3 of us had received a second course, and my grandchildren had not received their chicken fingers/fries and macaroni and cheese. Spoke with someone who was going to put a rush on the grandchildren's meals. 8:00pm 1 order of the chicken fingers and fries came out and they were burnt and hard. Still no food for the adults. Asked for check and spoke with someone who was going to adjust the bill. 8:30pm still no check. Left!!!!!!

The service was absolutely terrible! I had a 10:00 reservation and it was just before 11:00 before the waiter took our drink order let alone dinner order. The food was decent but not good enough that I'd go back. The restaurant itself also needs some updating. A huge dust ball fell in our pitcher of sangria from the celing fan. The waiter did replace the pitcher free of charge but I couldn't help but wonder when was the last time those fans were dusted.

I was with a group of friends for restaurant week. I was seated outside and did not receive menus for quite some time. When we finally put our order in, we did received our first course about an hour after being there which was fine. After 2 and a half hours, I still did not receive an entree. The only option was them giving us our food to go. We still paid the full amount plus drinks that we decided to have because we were waiting so long for our food. Our check was also incorrect when we initially got it. The waitress was apologetic but it did not make up for the experience. This was not a pleasant experience and I would unfortunately not go back.

I took my father last week for restaurant week for the four course dinner. Food was pretty good but took over 15 minutes for someone to ask for our orders after being seated. Soup then took 30 minutes to come out and appetizers took over 40 minutes. Entrée with chicken was completely mislabeled and served over pasta which I did not like at all. The big positive was the waitress saw we were upset because of the wait so we got a free round of drinks. She was extremely apologetic even though the wait time was not her fault. Overall I am not sure I would go back because it took two hours from start to finish for our entrees to be served so we got desert to go, which we didn't even eat, but left a great tip none the less.

The service was terrible, we went for my friend’s birthday and it was restaurant week. It took us 4 1/2 hours to get through our dinner, we only got 1 comp meal from the manager. People who were there after us were done their dinner and left before we even got our actual meals. It was ridiculous! The manager gave us some excuse that it was over booked with reservations but clearly it was not because about 70% of the people around us were getting their meals/drinks. As far as we know 2 other tables around us had the same issue. If you want to go here good luck! The food was cold by the time we got it, we had warm beer because they forgot to restock and the only good thing I had was my salad! It was the longest dinner of my life!

I must admit I was really excited but then reality kicked in, the waiting, I mean the long long wait for out food was ridiculous! It was my birthday weekend and they spoiled it. I should have taken the same route some group of girls did shortly after my arrival. They waited so long they left after their 2nd plate - without paying!

My whole dining experience at 4 Fathers was terrible - It was mediocre food, beyond terrible service. I had made reservations a week in advance, had the confirmation of my reservations, was told it would be a while to be seated because of people with reservations - I informed them I was one of those people. They sat us at a table meant for two though my party was much bigger. The service all around was just bad. We waiting about 30 minutes to get water brought to our table, we had to find our own silverware. Waiters and waitresses kept bringing other orders to our table - they had no idea who was getting what and where it was going. The meals were terribly plated. I can't get over how bad it was. I do not recommend this place to ANYONE.

My boyfriend and I went for restaurant week. The menu was very expansive and the food tasted delicious but the service was slow. It was restaurant week so I am going to give it another chance when it is less crowded. The owner came by and greeted us. We liked the personal touch. The Special Sangria is highly recommended as well as the macaroni and cheese with bacon.

I went to 4 Fathers with a friend for Restaurant Week. The service from start to finish was ludicrously awful. Our wait times were incredibly long, our server unsympathetic and mostly invisible until we spoke to the manager, and the salmon was both small and unimpressive (the steak was generally good, though overdone). The manager eventually agreed to pay for half of our meal because we were so unhappy with the experience. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

This restaurant was not ready for Restaurant Week. It took 20minutes to get our soup. The main dishes were nothing to be impressed by and our dessert was clearly Sara Lee or Entenamann's. My advice is to talk with another restaurant that has done this, so you can understand the volume of customers you will get an can plan accordingly. Another piece of advice is to slim down your RW options. There were WAY too many for your kitchen to keep up with. The drinks were even sub par. The old fashioneds we ordered were awful and iced down because they sat at the bar too long. Save your time and money when it comes to 4 Fathers.

I think the food was great and we went for restaurant week and had sub average visit. The service was slow and the staff would rather mingle amongst themselves instead of making sure the customers are happy. The night was really slow there and there was only 3 or four tables. I know I can't blame the server if the food is slow to come out but even our drinks took 30 mins to come out. Like I said great food awful slow service, will not return.

Based on the menu, my friends and I were very excited to try 4 Fathers. When we arrived, it took me 10 minutes to find someone to help us. I had made reservations on Open Table. I had to stop a waitress and ask for the hostess. After about another 10 minutes, the hostess came out and without any welcome or greeting, asked about my reservation. She did not verify our reservation in any way and brought us back to a secluded side porch area. We weren't given menus or table settings. We waited for about 20 minutes before getting up to search for a waiter. When we had no luck and heard poor reviews from others waiting, we left. It was very disappointing that we wasted our Restaurant Week night.

My girlfriends and I like to try new restaurants during Restaurant Week. I was extremely disappointed with 4 Fathers. The menu was extensive and appealing. We ordered alcoholic beverages twice from the drink menu only to be told they did not have the ingredients to make the drinks. Salads came quickly and were good. Long wait for second course and hard to get silverware or anything from staff. Are reservation was at 6:30 and at 9:40 we still did not have our main entrees. When they finally arrived they were cold. I asked for a box to take my leftovers in and the waiter brought out our desserts boxed to go at 10:10 p.m. Worst time I ever had during restaurant week and all tables around us were having the same problems.

Our regular Restaurant Week Trio tried this spot during Restaurant Week. Like most of the other reviews, our sentiments pretty much echos everyone else's . This by far was one of the worst dining experiences we've EVER had! And, obiviously having a reservation DID NOT matter. Won't even think we'll return if the food is FREE. To say that we were very disappointed is a grave understatement. Hopefully this establishment can pull it together. It's in a prime location and the food wasn't half bad. Good luck!!!!!

Before restaurant week- we had thought 4fathers would be an excellent choice. Menu seemed diverse and had many options. However, we were greatly dissatisfied to find that we would experience the exact opposite.Upon arriving, we waited 12 minutes standing at the entrance as the hostess walked past us several times- we had a reservation. A waiter finally seated us. The same hostess neglected to give us a menu for about another 15. The waiter could not tell us anything about the menu- drinks or food. The food was horrid and not worth $35 a person. For example- Boston Mac'n cheese was literally penne and velveeta. The salmon fillet was in pieces in a pool of butter. Taste/texture comparable to rubber-did not finish. Cake out of a box.Save your$

We waited 2 hours and only got the first course. We kept asking the waiter were the food was and he said the kitchen was backed up. Here they lost our order and didn't admit to it. Talked to the manager who said that the food was coming in 3 minutes, 10 minutes later, still no food. First time we ever walked out of a place without paying. 2 hours and only 1 cup of soup and a "sorry" from the hostest on the way out. NOT A GOOD TIME.

Kicked off restaurant week here. We made it a girls night and got a group together. I was actually embarrassed that I picked this place to bring my friends to. I picked it because I liked the atmosphere (nice area, outdoor seating, nice live music). My mistake was that I didn't check reviews first. The service was spotty at best. Our waitress was sweet but she was never around. One of our appetizers was forgotten completely and it wasn't even that busy! The food was the worst part. Not a single person in our group liked their food. At $35 a person, I would want it to be at least decent. My vegetarian choice pasta and veggies had some type of mystery meat on top. The pound cake was like biting dry sand. Extremely disappointing!

The food was luke warm; the salads had a gallon of dressing on them; and the main dishes came out different than what the menu specifies. It was the first day of restaurant week and they didn't have items that err listed on their menu. When dishes came out completely different then what was listed our serve said "well that's just what the head chef did". It was an awful experience. I do not recommend eating here.

The restaurant had no a/c on a hot July day. Food was not brought out in the correct order (apps came with or after entrees arrived). Four out of six entrees ordered were either cold, missing ingredients, or over-cooked. Fries with one entree were cooked properly and seasoned; fries with another entree were overly greasy and not seasoned at all. Drinks were not refilled and we were constantly flagging down the server. We finally asked him to just bring a pitcher of water to leave at the table.
