Diner Reviews
  • "The restaurant had no a/c on a hot July day. Food was not brought out in the correct order (apps came with or after entrees arrived). Four out of six entrees ordered were either cold, missing ingredients, or over-cooked. Fries with one entree were cooked properly and seasoned; fries with another entree were overly greasy and not seasoned at all. Drinks were not refilled and we were constantly flagging down the server. We finally asked him to just bring a pitcher of water to leave at the table."

  • "Excellent lunch place (Although we are from out of town so we have not been there for dinner). Great ambience, good food, and great prices."

  • "On the curb , with noise , dirty menus sandwiches with meat as a kebab I clearly don't understand the five stars of opentable "

  • "The food and service are great (the red velvet cake's AMAZING!), but when you first walk in there's a bit of a musty smell. Nice place over all."

  • "This restaurant is usually very on point and very good. However, on this particular visit, the restaurant had no heat and it made it very difficult for me to enjoy my food and my conversation. I have been to this restaurant on more than one occasion and have never had this problem, especially in the winter. I hope they have gotten the heat fixed so that this doesn't happen again because next time I will not stay."

  • "This was my second time going because they have an extensive menu that seems to serve everyone's interest. The food could be described as really good bar food. There have the standard wings and quesadillas, but then there are a few standout items like mussels and crab cake sliders. However, I can't compare it to other amazing tapas restaurants in the city like Amada or Bar Ferdinand, but it's a cute spot with good food and drinks...although they were out of the liquor I wanted...and what my friend wanted. But it's good for a small group of friends to have drinks and really good snacks."

  • "I first ate at GiGi's for lunch with a friend and was excited to see Michael Barkann, our local sportscaster dining there as well. The food was good but nothing to make me rush back for. I have dined there for dinner as well and the food still lacks that certain something that makes me crave it but it is good for a business dinner or casual date in a pinch for a last minute reservation as it seems to struggle for a dinner crowd. Service is a bit slow for dinner as well."

  • "not bad, but we won't be returning for another meal. it is more lounge than restaurant."

  • "Food was only okay. Since it was saturday night, a DJ started playing very loud music next to our table halfway through our meal. Service was great. And the drinks were great."

  • "Our service was really slow... presumed they forgot to put in our orders as people who sat down after us got their meal first."

  • "Very loud and horrible service. Got our orders wrong and waitress said that we just have to put up with the screaming and yelling of the large group of college students seated next to our table. Will not go back."

  • "Young crowd, great for a weekend bite. Great variety and bar. Noisy, but in a good way because everyone seemed to be having a good time."

  • "Service was terrible. We waited awhile for our food even though we arrived before other people. The server brought out incorrect entrees. The chef had to expedited our orders. The portions were large but just ok. Wouldn't go back."

  • "My first time visiting Gigi I was sold especially due to the flourless chocolate cake. But the next few times I've went the food temperature wasnt hot enough or the item desired wasnt available and had to substitute with another or staff didnt show up and had to go to the neighboring restuarant because they were unable to serve. The flourless chocolate cake was definetly enough to warrant a visit soley to have with a good cup of coffee. But, the cake has changed and not as wonderful as when I first had the sinful dessert. Overall I will dine at this establishment again because I love their tapas its perfect to share with friends and the location."

  • "This restaurant never wow's me but it also never disappoints. Solid menu with an adequate number of options. For starters the beer battered shrimp, jerk chicken skewers and Prince Edward Island mussels are yummy. The diver scallops and garlic & herb crusted salmon are tasty for large plates. The drink menu was solid and the wait staff was attentive."

  • "Not very impressed with this one! A friend and I were seated at a plain table, next to a plain wall, twds the back of the long and narrow restaurant. The ambiance sucked. We waited a bit long for our food, considering it was later at night. We tried to stick around for some cocktails, but the music was reminiscent of a bad wedding reception and the cocktails weren't kicking for the price."

  • "I THREW A SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PART FOR MY BOYFRIEND FOR A PARTY OF 10 PPLP AND IT WAS NOSIY IN THERE CUZ THEY HAD A DJ AND WE SAT RIGHT UNDER THE SPEAKERS. WE ASK TO WAITRESS TO LOWER THE VOLUME AND THEY DID, I THOUGHT THAT WAS NICE. THE PLACE WAS EMPTY THAT NIGHT WELL IT WAS A CHILLY NIGHT THAT DAY. THE FOOD WAS OKAY BUT NONE OF MY GUEST LIKE THE SALMON OR THE PASTA. THE PASTA WAS STUCK TOGETHER IT LACK TASTE AND IT WAS DRY THEY END UP JUST EATING APPERTIZERS. I WAS LITTLE DISAPPOINTED AT THAT. I WANTED MY GUESTS TO ENJOY THEMSELVES. THE WAITRESS WE HAD WAS VERY KIND AND SWEET. I FORGOT THE CAKE AND SHE WAS THOUGHTFUL TO BRING OUT A SLICE OF CHEESCAKE WITH A CANDLE. OVERALL IT AN OKAY EVENT BUT I WOULD'VE WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE."

  • "I am the type of person that likes to change the menu items to fit my tastes. At GiGi- I didn't have to change a thing! All of the food was great! We went during restaurant week & I usually find myself wishing that I ordered what the other members of my party ordered because my food is just alright. That was not the case this time... I have absolutely no complaints. I recommended GiGi's to a friend & she recently went & said that she loved it, too. She's going back soon & bringing her daughter. Great experience!"

  • "We like this place particularly in the summer, when we can sit outside on Market Street and people-watch. They have some interesting menu items, and we enjoy the small plate structure of the menu, so we can share tasty bites. Not the best restaurant we've ever been too, but definitely makes the rotation for our Old City favorites."
