Crab bisque was excellent and everything else was ok. One friend had to return her mojito. Not sure if it was because it was Restaurant Week but the food wasn't exceptional. I didn't eat the asparagus because it was a little soggy/mushy. The steak seemed smaller than expected and the pound cake was very dry.

We read reviews prior to our visit and they were "BAD" While our entrees weren't the best they weren't the worst. Why would you go to a Burger Joint and order Pasta. THis is the type of place you stop when your not really hungry, waiting for someone to do do something or after a movie for drinks, beer , wings and things.

Don't waste your time making a reservation. The staff & management are very unorganized and aren't familiar with their own menu. After waiting more than an hour for our entrees, the food came out cold. Apparently shifts changed and there was no communication about our order. They told us they were waiting on broccoli to cook when we were waiting for asparagus. Broccoli isn't even on their menu. Upon speaking with the manager, he didn't apologize for the wait or offer to comp us for anything until I asked to speak with the owner. Very disappointing because the menu descriptions look good. That's what drew us there. Needless to say, we left hungry and had to find somewhere else to have dinner.

My husband and I went to try this place out for restaurant week. The food was over cooked. All four courses provided was not all all well cooked or flavorful. My husband got the salmon...I have never had dry fish before. My steak was overcooked. The only good side was the waiter was very nice and took some money off the bill but certainly not enough that would satisfy me to ever come back. I was not all impressed and would not recommend

The resturant is small and it was very crowded. Initially the seating was bad to the point when other customers and even waiters were passing my table they could knock over my glass of water. However before my 1st course came I was moved to better table. There needs to be better organization and planning for seating on busy nights.

It takes just one word to describe our experience at 4 Fathers! EXCELLENT! This was my first time at 4 Fathers. I had been in the past when it was GiGi's. The food at GiGi's was good, but the service was slow. Maybe due to Restaurant week. My visit was during restaurant week and it has surely improved! What a pleasant night! I look forward to enjoying another meal there again soon! I highly recommend the food and service at 4 Fathers!

Visited 4 Fathers during restaurant week and was not impressed by the menu. If you added everything up, the price would be over $50 per person. This is what was enticing. However, the plates were extremely small and there was no way the food that was served would have been worth the full price. The only good part of the meal was the salad and the dessert, which took forever to get since our table kept getting ignored. The crab cakes were mostly breadcrumbs. I would definitely not pay $27 for that plate! The appetizers were a joke. Two small scallops wrapped in bacon on a stick is worth $10 on your menu? I think not!

It's unfortunate that management ruins the dining experience. The food, once deliver was actually good; however it took 2 hours to complete a meal. Entrees were delivered before apps and the medium steak I order took 4 tries. When I spoke with the manager, I was either presented with lame excuses or brushed off completely. Apparently your time and concerns are not valued at this restaurant. I feel sorry for the waiters that take the brunt of the complaints when it really falls on mismanagement.

Waitress didn't know the difference between a pierogi and emponadas and then argued with us at the table when we knew she gave us the wrong thing. Brought out half the tables food at a time with 20 minutes in between the others'. Thought it was ok to just give us a free beer instead of the actual food we ordered. Food wasn't great. 1 out of 4 meals was actually correct for one person in the party. The fish and chips was pathetic....it was a plate of fries with 2 fish sticks basically. And the cake for dessert....I'd rather have box cake.

We were out for restaurant week it was 5 of us and it started out nice the waiter was nice and soon as he too our beverage order it went down hill from there. We received our beverages and placed the rest of our order and the starter course didn't get to us for an hour which was just soup and salad. After that we had a defective table and it fell spilling drinks and food onto the floor and on 1 if the ladies in my party. During the process of clean up one of the waiters said that it may have come from us kicking the table no we are not children. The remainder of our food took 30 minutes moreand it was not what was stated on the menu we the crab cakes taste like paste, it was not specified that the blacken salmon was spicy, 3 hr wasted.

When this restaurant was Gigi I loved it. Now that it's rebranded, I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt, during Restaurant Week. My mistake. The food was good, but the service was too slow for lunch and you only have an hour. I didn't take it out on the waiter, still givi g my usual 20%, but I will not return unless it's for happy hour or dinner.

Arrived at 7:50 for our 8pm reservations. Waited 30 minutes after we were seated to be acknowledged by the wait staff. Waited another 20 minutes and ordered our meal before our waters came out because they ran out of cups. Multiple parties of people got up and left due to not being served during the 50 minutes we waited between our second and third course. Menu items were changed due to running out of ingredients which we were only told upon questioning the food we received. Waiter was polite and apologetic however the restaurant clearly wasn't staffed or stocked enough to handle restaurant week. Food was bland and a disappointment considering it was a 3 hour ordeal just to get half of what we had actually ordered.

the service was so slow the worst I ever had. They said it was because it was restraunt week but it wasn't. Made a reservation and had to sit otstide on 2 little round tables that we barely fit at. Our 2nd course came out before our first and was cold.our first course was soup and that took another 15 minutes. Its already cooked just sitting on the stove what took so long. Then my son ordered a magic hat beer and when he asked for another one they brought him a hard cider beer. The fish was so greasy the best part of the entire meal were my fries, the crab cakes were not very good at all. and we all had bathroom issues after eating there. never again.

When I arrived with my party of 6, they acted as if they didn't know about my reservation. They did finally seat us inside, which would have been fine except for the fact that there was live "music" performed by one man and his synthesizer... And it was LOUD. As in, we had hoped to talk to each other, but had to yell to be understood. And it was not particularly pleasant or well-executed music either. There was confusion about the beers that were available, which resulted in 3 reorders - we got our drinks about 30 minutes after ordering. The food was good until the dessert course which was terrible! Overall, the service was mediocre and the atmosphere was terrible. I would not recommend this place.

I went here during Restaurant Week. The service was so bad, and the food so mediocre, that I was resentful to have given them my money. Although the place wasn't busy, food was very slow to come out. My appetizer and dinner were fine but unmemorable; dessert was a FROZEN cheesecake they had not finished thawing. My friend's chicken was supposed to have a 'sauce', but there was so much sauce that it looked like a soup. At the table next to us, a diner had to send back their steak TWICE - and when it came out the third time, the cook had taken the nearly-raw steak and sliced it and re-cooked it, serving it up in slices. I waited 20 minutes for my first cocktail and another 40 for my second; they gave a lame excuse about a new bartender.

We went during restaurant week. Clearly this restaurant was not prepared. We arrived 6:45 for 7:00 reservation and were told the dining room was recently seated; we would have to go outdoors. I did not request outdoor dining. It took our server over 15 min to bring us menus. Drink order took 20 min. At this point we should have left because service never improved. 1st course took 30 min to arrive; 1st and 2nd courses were brought at the same time. Entrees took 30 min to arrive. Other groups were seated outside and left when no server appeared. Overall it was a frustrating evening. Clearly this restaurant needs to work on their service. If we would have read other people's reviews first we would have not chosen this restaurant.

Picked restraunt on style of menu they had. The shrimp appitizer was good. I had the gettysburger and that was ok but I ordered medium well and it came out raw. Dessert I had cheesecake which was ok. The device was beyond I've ever seen. Got seated and sat for at least 20 minutes until someone came over to ask us if we wanted anything. After we ordered it took 45minutes to get our food. I was lunch home but not very crowded. It also seemed that other customers in the restraunt were having the same problems we were having. We finally had dessert and left after 2 hours just yo have lunch. We should have just walked our after the first 20 minutes.

The 4 course menu was great. My girlfriend & I were very excited when we saw the menu. We were immediately seated & served our drinks. We had viewed the menu outside prior to being seated so the server was able to take our order right away. We must have waited 25 mins. for our first course which was maryland crab soup. They kept promising our next meal would be out shortly, but that was another 20 mins. for 2 beer battered shrimp. Other guest who came in after us were being served before us. Others servers tried to step in to take our orders & often brought us other peoples food. In all, we were at the restaurant 2 hours. It was very chaotic and unorganized. I don't think they were prepared for the restaurant week crowd.

My husband and I were so excited to try a new resturant. We got a sitter and drove over from NJ. From the time we sat down we knew this was going to be a problem. They are known for having 13 beers on draft and 13 in cans - the waiter came over an crossed out more than half of them. The beer we did order was flat and actually expired. We watched as people got up and walked away without paying. Service so horrible. 30 minutes inbeteeen courses - included waiting for two cups of soup! Our actual dinner order was wrong. The manager was walking around apologizing to tables, that hadn't left yet but never came to us, even as we tried waving them over. Horrible service. Food was ok. Will never go back again after a three hour meal

I planned a small surprise dinner with our children and grandchildren for my husband's birthday. Our reservations were at 6:30pm. When we arrived we could tell they were really busy. We placed our water and drink order. That took 15 minutes, just to get water. By 7:50pm only 3 of us had received a second course, and my grandchildren had not received their chicken fingers/fries and macaroni and cheese. Spoke with someone who was going to put a rush on the grandchildren's meals. 8:00pm 1 order of the chicken fingers and fries came out and they were burnt and hard. Still no food for the adults. Asked for check and spoke with someone who was going to adjust the bill. 8:30pm still no check. Left!!!!!!

The service was absolutely terrible! I had a 10:00 reservation and it was just before 11:00 before the waiter took our drink order let alone dinner order. The food was decent but not good enough that I'd go back. The restaurant itself also needs some updating. A huge dust ball fell in our pitcher of sangria from the celing fan. The waiter did replace the pitcher free of charge but I couldn't help but wonder when was the last time those fans were dusted.

I was with a group of friends for restaurant week. I was seated outside and did not receive menus for quite some time. When we finally put our order in, we did received our first course about an hour after being there which was fine. After 2 and a half hours, I still did not receive an entree. The only option was them giving us our food to go. We still paid the full amount plus drinks that we decided to have because we were waiting so long for our food. Our check was also incorrect when we initially got it. The waitress was apologetic but it did not make up for the experience. This was not a pleasant experience and I would unfortunately not go back.

I took my father last week for restaurant week for the four course dinner. Food was pretty good but took over 15 minutes for someone to ask for our orders after being seated. Soup then took 30 minutes to come out and appetizers took over 40 minutes. Entrée with chicken was completely mislabeled and served over pasta which I did not like at all. The big positive was the waitress saw we were upset because of the wait so we got a free round of drinks. She was extremely apologetic even though the wait time was not her fault. Overall I am not sure I would go back because it took two hours from start to finish for our entrees to be served so we got desert to go, which we didn't even eat, but left a great tip none the less.

The service was terrible, we went for my friend’s birthday and it was restaurant week. It took us 4 1/2 hours to get through our dinner, we only got 1 comp meal from the manager. People who were there after us were done their dinner and left before we even got our actual meals. It was ridiculous! The manager gave us some excuse that it was over booked with reservations but clearly it was not because about 70% of the people around us were getting their meals/drinks. As far as we know 2 other tables around us had the same issue. If you want to go here good luck! The food was cold by the time we got it, we had warm beer because they forgot to restock and the only good thing I had was my salad! It was the longest dinner of my life!

My whole dining experience at 4 Fathers was terrible - It was mediocre food, beyond terrible service. I had made reservations a week in advance, had the confirmation of my reservations, was told it would be a while to be seated because of people with reservations - I informed them I was one of those people. They sat us at a table meant for two though my party was much bigger. The service all around was just bad. We waiting about 30 minutes to get water brought to our table, we had to find our own silverware. Waiters and waitresses kept bringing other orders to our table - they had no idea who was getting what and where it was going. The meals were terribly plated. I can't get over how bad it was. I do not recommend this place to ANYONE.

I went to 4 Fathers with a friend for Restaurant Week. The service from start to finish was ludicrously awful. Our wait times were incredibly long, our server unsympathetic and mostly invisible until we spoke to the manager, and the salmon was both small and unimpressive (the steak was generally good, though overdone). The manager eventually agreed to pay for half of our meal because we were so unhappy with the experience. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Tried 4 Fathers for lunch during Philly restaurant week. Service was slow and unattentive. One person in the group ordered a Caesar salad. It was a large plate of lettuce with a few roasted peppers and Kraft Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. It came with no dressing (had to track down the server to get the dressing) and then we found a large piece of packing string in the salad. It was truly awful and I will never go back.

This restaurant was not ready for Restaurant Week. It took 20minutes to get our soup. The main dishes were nothing to be impressed by and our dessert was clearly Sara Lee or Entenamann's. My advice is to talk with another restaurant that has done this, so you can understand the volume of customers you will get an can plan accordingly. Another piece of advice is to slim down your RW options. There were WAY too many for your kitchen to keep up with. The drinks were even sub par. The old fashioneds we ordered were awful and iced down because they sat at the bar too long. Save your time and money when it comes to 4 Fathers.

Went with friends with high hopes after seeing the yummy menu online. We had made a reservation but they had WAY over booked there were no tables inside and only tables on the street. One of the members of our party was pregnant and it was hot and there were people, not sure if they were patrons, sitting on the edges of the balcony over hang smoking. We told them that they needed to stop, although that really shouldn't have been our job. We had to wait for over 30 minutes at the table with not even a drink order, the menus were grubby and the staff at the door was totally unprepared and didn't know how to handle the evening. We ended up leaving with out eating and going else where. What a disappointment!

Tables are Too Small and Space is Cramped. Appertizer was Delicious but I was unsatisfied with Only 2 Shrimp If Weather is Good would Recommend Outdoor Seating.

I think the food was great and we went for restaurant week and had sub average visit. The service was slow and the staff would rather mingle amongst themselves instead of making sure the customers are happy. The night was really slow there and there was only 3 or four tables. I know I can't blame the server if the food is slow to come out but even our drinks took 30 mins to come out. Like I said great food awful slow service, will not return.

fit for foodies, great for lunch

Waited over 45 minutes for seating. Ended up leaving after hearing others had waited longer and still hadn't been seated for their reservation. There was a passed out drunk man sitting near us at the bar. A very unpleasant experience.
