I did not like the appetizer which was a rabbit spring roll. The stuffing and the side on the plate were the same making for a boring dish. My entree was good but too much food. My husband liked both his appetizer and his entree. We will try again be fore we would recommend to friends. I was forced to answer #2 even though I thought none of the options applied.

It was our first visit to the Bistro and we took out of town guests. Needless to say, we were a little nervous. What a pleasant surprise! The appetizers were plentiful and delicious and the entrees exquisite. We were very impressed with the service, the cocktails, the ambience, and the food. As we were leaving, one of our guests (who has dined all over the world) noted that it was the best martini EVER! We will definitely be returning.

Since we stayed at the Inn on Church, we had the pleasure of eating breakfast as well as dinner there. I would recommend it to anyone. We were there over the weekend of the Apple Festival, so the menu was entirely apple themed. We had two vegetarians and they made special vegetarian dishes for us. Everything was wonderful!

I have never reviewed anything, but this is so worthy. We are from Charlotte and have plenty of great places to eat. 3rd Ave Bistro is by far the best we've had anywhere. In my husbands words "I think that was the best meal I've ever had in my life!" From the food to the service it was just amazing! We will be back every time we make it to Hendersonville.

We enjoyed our meal at the Bistro restaurant. We were up during the apple festival. The theme of the menu was using apples in the dish. I had the stuffed trout with apple and fennel. Delicious. Very friendly waitress. Would recommend to friends. Little pricy, but ideal for special occasions.

Quire some time back, we had poor experience here, so we didn't go back. New ownership came along, we still weren't interested. Recent reviews by friends drew us back and had a great experience. Good food (fish was really good)and service, accommodating management and a very fun evening. We will be back.

Third Ave. Bistro is the dining room of the Inn on Church, a building that has been around for many generations. It is in very good shape and provides a lovely evening dining experience. The service was personable and accommodating, the food was superb, the wine list acceptable, and the price reasonable. I have been enjoying this spot for a number of years, but this was the best experience yet.

Our first visit. The restaurant setting is quaint, with only a window air conditioner unit that was noisy and lacking. For an early Saturday evening, there was only one other table seated - with one particularly loud patron - which was very annoying. The bar did not have the first three "common" brands of 12-year old Scotch that we ordered - not good. We next ordered a couple of glasses of the "house" Pinot Noir, which was tolerable at best. Regardless, the food was fantastic, especially the deserts. (The chef is a former pastry chef.) Fresh local ingredients. Beautiful presentation. Service was very good, but not exceptional. For the benefit of the chef, I hope the rest of the operation gets it together. Will return again to try.

We loved the experience we had with the new chef and newly-named restaurant at Inn on Church. Prices for dinner are not for those who want a bargain meal, but, then, the meal was truly excellent. You get what you pay for, and this meal was worth it! We would rather have a gourmet meal less often than an average meal frequently!

This new bistro in Hendersonville is everything a diner might ask for-- delicious, nutritious, beautiful, thoughtful food, with a strong southern and root vegetable bent. Impressive desserts, complex flavors, and wonderful breads from local bakeries, including Hendersonville's Underground Baking. It is a far cry from the pizza and hamburger joints that seem to line the main street, and the kitchen seems to be functioning well even though it is less than six month's old.

My wife and I have been waiting for another really good restaurant to replace the dining experience we used to have at the long ago closed Flight restaurant on Main Street in downtown Hendersonville. We have found our special restaurant serving wonderful continental food; an upscale restaurant in an historic building, Inn on Church Street. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting a wonderful dining experience with good food and excellent service

This is the restaurant portion of Inn on Church. I have eaten here many times, but in the recent past it has been a grim experience. But the interior has been brightened up and the new menu features local food and vendors. My salmon was excellent and we had a large selection of wine to choose from. Service was outstanding. The only glitch was the vodka gimlet I ordered in the bar-too sour, but perhaps they were missing the correct ingredients to make it right. Overall it was a lovely meal and we will be back.

Great upscale farm to table restaurant with an innovative menu! The service was great and the chef was graciously accommodating with our many food intolerances. It was disappointing to not shave any gluten-free dessert options, but the food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. We definitely enjoyed our experience and look forward to coming back.

Since we attend performances at Flat Rock Playhouse quite often, as well as enjoy the town of Hendersonville, always looking for new dining experience. We think 3rd Avenue is a gem--chef is fabulous. Quaint atmosphere inside, sunroom, and I believe patio also. Since I had just been open two weeks the crowd was sparce, but we have posted its existence in our local Nextdoor Neighbor at Connestee Falls to try to get the word out.

My wife and I chose this restaurant at the last minute and were very impressed with the overall experience. There is a lack of fine dining in Hendersonville but the Third Avenue Bistro is filling that void quickly. The service was over-the-top and all of the staff was quite friendly. We selected two different entrees and shared---both were outstanding. This location is a landmark in Hendersonville but the chef and menu are both new. You will not be disappointed if you're looking for a special place to have great meal.

The Inn on Church is a great little restaurant and B&B. The food is very good, the Inn itself is very nice with a great lounge. The dining room is a bit like sitting in somebody's living room. I found the wait staff to be lacking - the host seemed distracted and the waitress seemed better suited to Cracker Barrel. Otherwise, it was a very good meal prepared well with fresh ingredients. The food was very good, approaching outstanding. We are locals and have been to the Inn 4-5 times in the last several years.

We enjoyed a delicious meal and liked the semi-romantic ambiance of the restaurant. I was glad that they gave us a choice of tables because we tend to get stuck at the cold table. Their prices are a little high so we don't go here regularly but the visits we've made have been excellent. We will be returning!
