Diner Reviews
  • "Enjoyed a wonderful dinner celebrating a birthday. Sat upstairs overlooking the atrium & bar. Great ambiance w/soft lighting & upscale decor. Bar is gorgeous & spacious, w/a full walled back-lit display. Dirty martinis were on point. The scallops, filet mignon & combination platters were perfect, tho I recommend the sauteed seafood over fried (we tried both). Great spot for celebrating something or someone special, but I will stop in for lunch/brunch as the appetizer selections were very appealing. This is a fine, but not over the top, dining experience -not a franchise sit-down- so food and beverage are priced accordingly. Thanks for a great evening, & I look forward to checking the Market out in the future for some drinks at the bar!"

  • "Waited 2 hours for our food, watched as 3 chefs & our waiter discussed the matter in a panic while looking back at our table several times. Meals were clearly rushed once they did come out. No one acknowledged that a mistake had been made. The manager never came by to apologize & as he walked by we stopped him to let him know. He proceeded tell us the kitchen was backed up(blatant lie) when several other tables that came in after us had eaten their food and left all while we were still waiting on our meals. Then he tried to tell us he was behind the bar so he wasn’t aware of the situation, after we watched him walk by our table several times before that. His job is to be aware! I will never return here and I do not recommend this restaurant"

  • "If you like great seafood and service, this is the restaurant for you. It's become one of our favorite restaurants in Easton, PA."

  • "The hostess had our table ready so there was no wait when we arrived. The service was friendly and the waitress knew a lot about the menu items. There was a delicious vegan option that was well thought out and deliciously prepared using unique ingredients (not just a fancy salad as so many other local places try to get away with serving). It was one of the first times I could enjoy a meal alongside my friends while out in Easton. I felt it was commensurate with higher end vegan options you'd find in NYC. Service was great and we did not at all feel rushed even though the place was packed."

  • "We have visited this restaurant many times. We have always loved the atmosphere, however, this time the music was so loud and annoying we couldn't even hear ourselves at the table. Maybe it's because we sat upstairs. The food is always delicious, especially the lobster mashed potatoes...service was wonderful but I think they need to lighten up the music during dinner hours when people are trying to converse..."

  • "We came in 8pm on wednesday and were one of only three couples sitting at tables. There was a good bar scene though. The waitress was nice and attentive but really did not know the menu. The tuna sashimi appetizer was good. The entrees came in reasonable amount of time but she got mine and I got hers and they forgot to sauce her dish. My dinner of scallops was very good. You can never go wrong with bacon and onion. We ended up the only people at the tables when we started to discuss dessert. Then in an empty restaurant, they set 4 college kids next to us ramping the noise level up so that we had dessert elsewhere. My wife asked the manager, why seat them so close and the response was that it was the only table set with silverware."

  • "1st time here. I can't complain about anything. We weren't rushed. Out food was hot, Tasted great and the service was exceptional. My wife drinks a lot of water on a regular basis and her glass was always topped off without asking. Definitely going to be our regular spot. DONT CHANGE ANYTHING"

  • "The quality of the shellfish and fish was very good and perfectly cooked. Nothing was overdone; just right. Husband had the scallops wrapped with bacon with a balsamic maple sauce; bacon was crispy and the scallops were still succulent. I had clams on the half shell; very fresh and nicely chilled. For the entrees my husband had the tilapia stuffed with crab and I had the scallop, shrimp, and crab cake platter cooked in white wine. Both dishes were very good and the fish and shellfish came hot. The sides for both dishes were tasty but would have been more enjoyable if they were hot and not just warm. The waitress brought us cheese biscuits and they were good but I think they would have been better served hot. We'll definitely be back."

  • "We went to 3rd and Ferry for an Anniversary dinner. We had heard good things about the restaurant. There was nothing particularly wrong with the restaurant or food but there was nothing that really wow'd us either. The only real disappointment was that we tried two of their signature drinks and found both too strong to drink and neither tasted the way described. When we raised the issue they immediately remedied the situation and replaced the drinks without any resistance."

  • "Great service, great food. Lobster soup is to die for, fantastic beer selection."

  • "We got there during the dinner rush. We were seated in a area that was between two other couples which left in approazmatly 10 minuets into our dinner. This made it much more private for us. Otherwise it would have been less private so be prepaird that there is not a lot of room between tables if it's just you and one other. The food was excellent and the service was very good. I would recommend this place especially if you love fish."

  • "Really nice place but food was not up to par. Smelled fishy when we walked in. Cobb salad OK. Crab was not as good as it could have been. Hoping food improves"

  • "We have been looking for a good seafood restaurant in this area and 3rd & Ferry Fish Market did not disappoint us at all! The food was excellent....interesting sauces and sides without masking the taste of a good piece of fish. Everything was top quality. arrived at the right temperature, and the portion sizes were perfect. The beer list excited all those in the group that know good quality beer. Our waiter was knowledgeable and available when needed. We had a table in the mezzanine area and it was quiet enough that we could hear each other, but not so quiet that everyone else could hear us too. We will go back to this restaurant again and soon. We can now end our search for a seafood place!"

  • "We decided to try a new place to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary and decided on 3rd & Ferry Fish Market. What a pleasant surprise! The restaurant reminded us of restaurants in Paris and Brussels offering a fine atmosphere. The architect did a terrific job in leaving upper windows transparent offering a view of the sky, and lower windows opaque eliminating an unpleasant view of a side street and/or by-passers looking in at diners from the street outside. The cuisine was delicate and copious. (I just loved the ceviche!) Courteous service, pleasant smiles and non imposing attentiveness. Yes, we chose the right place to celebrate our special day and will return to celebrate many more. We highly recommend it."

  • "Park in the public garage across the street for $2 and take the bus to the theater. Fish dishes very good. A bit tight in terms of seating. Big bar with lots of room when busyin the dining area where you can eat too."

  • "I saw many very good reviews of this restaurant on Open Table, so I picked it. Evidently too many other people did too, because it was packed, and we had a 5:30 reservation (that's early in my mind). While we did make it to the theater on time, and we had told our server that we had a time limit, our dinner was slow to arrive. I had also expected the food to be better. It was good, but not 4-star. I had the spicy crab soup, and it had what felt and tasted like ground beef in it. HUH?"

  • "Had dinner here after seeing a friend post it on Facebook. Can't go wrong if you want a relaxed atmosphere with an energetic level of activity. Waitress Sarah was excellent, attentive and always available. We made a reservation and requested the Mezzanine which was a great move. Tables have a bit more room between them and you have a great view of the activities below. I had Fish and Chips...the fish was beer battered, light, flakey and done perfectly. My wife had the Lobster Roll which was excellent. She ordered regular fries with the aioli on the side... We shared an order of mussels as the appetizer...again...perfect. Only issue, the biscuits were a little cold...although light and fluffy. Overall..."WE'LL BE BACK""

  • "Excellent food and service. I had the tilapia stuffed with crabmeat in a seafood newburg sauce which was light and flavorful. Dinner companions had the mixed seafood grill, also prepared well and tasty. Server was informed and attentive. This was my second time at the restaurant and would definitely return again. Keep up the good work!"

  • "Had a great lunch and decided to try the dinner. I was disappointed with my halibut dish, my husbands lobster was overdone, granddaughter's salmon dish was good (small size would not have fed a grown man, lunch size) grandson's lobster tale dinner was good. Dinner rolls were cold and burned. Sorry to report negatively because i do support the restaurants in downtown Easton. I do like everyone to do well in this challenging economic time. The lunch was very good (green goddess salad with salmon) and the service was outstanding. I will recommend for lunch but not for dinner."

  • "My husband and I had dinner and coctails with 2 of our friends on Friday night. Food was great, service was knowledgable and attentive and the atmosphere was very comfortable! What a great way to wind down from a busy week. I ordered the pan seared scallops and there were fabulous. My husband ordered the fish and chips and reported they were light and flakey and the portion was generous. Our friends ordered the haddock and the stuffed talapia and both raved over their selections too!"

  • "I was very excited to eat at 3rd and Ferry. My husband loves oysters and seafood and we had heard wonderful things about the restaurant. We went on a Friday night and it was AMAZING! From start to finish it was an amazing experience, we truly can't wait to go back!! Menu was incredible, in fact so many options to choose from, we wanted 1 of everything! We left 3rd and Ferry and called/texted our family and friends saying that this was the place to go! I did request seating in the mezzanine based on some of the reviews and it was perfect. Definitely buzzing with noise from the bar and other patrons, definitely a place to sit. There is additional seating below the restaurant however I think the scene on the first 2 floors is better."

  • "Second time dining here and it was just as good, if not better, than the first time. My family tried a variety of appetizers and entrees, all of which we'd get again. The high point is a close tie between the seafood and desserts. You really can't go wrong no matter what you order. The decor and ambience really make you forget you're in Easton."

  • "My family and I chose this as a place for dinner recently. The location was excellent as it was central for both parties, the atmosphere delightful, yet the food seemed just 'ok'. My date and I had the Haddock; while mild and clean, it seemed to be lacking in flavor. My mother and father had the tuna and salmon and were delighted, however the half corn cob seemed an odd choice for such a dish priced as such. I was pleasantly surprised to see the local ice cream list on the desert menu, but felt there could have been more options aside from this. Nonetheless it was an overall enjoyable experience. Much luck to this business."

  • "Some of the appetizers were really good, but I ordered a spicy crab soup and it had no taste wasn't hot temperature or spice wise. My wife's dinner was cold. For desert my wife ordered a chocolate cake and it was dry and she returned it for a keylime pie. I believe I payed for the chocolate cake which was more money than the keylime pie. The service was ok, they had to get manager approval on all items we mentioned. I also paid by cash and card which confused the server."

  • "We arrived early hoping to get seated and were immediately given a table. I wasn't thrilled with the table set up on the first floor where we sat as the tables were close together and it was noisy but we did have a very nice dining experience. After a large party broke up that was next to us, they moved the table farther from us for the next seating so it was a little better. Our waiter was very attentive and didn't miss a beat as he serviced the busy Saturday night crowd. The crab cakes were very good and the scallops and shrimp were not overlooked. Their starch side seems to be potatoes in some form and I would have preferred the choice of a rice pilaf. It's an interesting place, three floors and a pretty cool bar area. Will go again."

  • "The food was exceptional. We split the tuna tashimi; which was prepared perfectly. I'm sorry I didn't have the entire appetizer for myself. I had the lobster roll which was great. My husband had the broiled seafood combination which was terrific. The scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly, the crab cakes terrific. The server was very attentive and never missed a beat. We can't wait to go back; there's so much to try."

  • "I grew up on the coast in MA and am really picky about my seafood. 3rd and Ferry definitely did not disappoint. Even my non-fish eating boyfriend was happy with his giant piece of steak. So glad this gen has come to Easton! We will be going back for sure!"

  • "I had high expectations for 3rd & Ferry, but was ultimately underwhelmed with the overall establishment. The food was sub-par compared to many eateries in the Lehigh Valley and the service was less than stellar. My only highlight of the evening was the oysters. As a fan, I tied 3 of each (quantities and selections vary night to night) selection. I appreciate that they were offered as themselves (without additions or sauces) so that I could truly compare tastes. I don't see myself re-visiting."
